HungerBAD:My friend will you shut that thing you called mouth. You are not in Rivers state to see things for yourself.. This was the reason why election did not hold in bonny,as electorate had to protest the omission of PDP on the result sheet. My hometown Omoku, youths had to kick against the shabby result sheet. So only comment on issues you had knowledge about and learn how and when to keep quite as well. |
Details to come shortly ,as report reaching us from government house in owerri that the state government has part ways with the SSG. |
I wonder how people reason in this country, when has having a valid/invalid drivers license been a prerequisite for not having accident in the road...Accidents are bound to happen, whether you are speeding or not. When some unknown forces has preplanned for your death,it is only God that can save you, even if you have the likes of fast and furious guys as your drivers. |
Thumbs up to all debaters tonight, you guys dealt extensively well on the aforementioned topic.. But my humble take on this topic," if you take away godfatherism in the political scene, then politics become a charade, cause godfatherism has it own advantages it provides to politics and as well as it disadvantages too. So reformation is the key factor here, without giving recourse to demands and selfish interest of the supposed godfathers at the detriment of the mass. |
OrangeDream:Abeg u bros,help me with the code na |

Kx:Bros,na wow for you ooo,how u dey think self.We are talking of our how to value our own product ,yet someone from "only God knows ministry" is thinking of importing grass. If they come to your village and buy the so called grass at lesser amount ,what do u think that will do for your community and the economy at large. Just imagine how it sound in the ears, importing grass. How special is Brazil grass to Nigeria grass? In fact ,I weep when I see youth that are suppose to engage in constructive criticism ,shy away from the obvious truth and display some magnitude of ignorance . |
luvmijeje:I think the question you should be asking is,of what essence is it to sign an aviation deal with a country who discriminate in issuance of visa to your citizen. The article is quite articulating enough to stress out the parasitic agreement our president has gone into without taking the Nigeria factor into cognizance. |
masterblogger:Madam, you are blowing this matter out of proportion, why if I may ask? I'm a native of Omoku, and I can categorically say to you that nothing like kidnap of market women and street hawkers...... pls don't try and misinform people . |
Reports suggests that there is brewing tension in Benue state, over a rumour that ex-governor, Senator George Akume is dead. Unconfirmed sources claim that the governor is dead, following speculation that the ex-governor has been battling undisclosed ailment, which has kept him indoors for weeks. The legislator’s sudden disappearance from the public scene is said to have become noticeable at the interment of the traditional ruler of Tiv nation, Dr Alfred Torkula. Sources reportedly disclosed to Daily Post that the politician was jetted out of the country to Germany when his condition became complicated few days back. Following the rumours, some social media activists from the state became furious after the event and demanded explanations from Akume why he failed to show up at the event where he was represented by his wife. The family members of the senator allegedly decided to go silent on his whereabouts or true state of his health despite pressure from the constituents. An unconfirmed source had told newsmen that: “The truth is that Akume is seriously sick. I can confirm to you that he is alive but in a critical condition” But the legislator took to socio-media to still the storm which tends to be raging most within the Zone-B senatorial district. The ex-governor took to his Facebook page few hours ago to ask the general public to disregard the rumour, saying he is alive and kicking. “I am not dead. Please stop the bad story. I love you all my great people of Benue,” he wrote. However, Daily Post reports that though the Facebook account belongs to the former governor who ruled Benue between 1999-2007, he is not the one personally operating it. “Yes, the Facebook account belongs to the senator but he is not the one managing it. His media team is only trying to calm the tension with the post. We need to pray for him. He is sick,” an anonymous source claimed. The tension keeps rising, even as more speculation suggests that the former passed last weekend. |

I respect Obasanjo but he introduced bribery to the national assembly, says Melaye Dino Melaye, a senator from Kogi west, has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter to the national assembly as a misplacement anger, accusing him of introducing corruption into the national assembly. Obasanjo had written a letter to the national assembly accusing it of insincerity for its planned purchase of 469 cars worth N4.7bn. But Melaye, in a riposte on Thursday, said the former president introduced corruption into the national assembly in his bid to run for a third term in office. “I have tremendous respect for president Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo. Elder statesman, respected pan Africanist and committed patriot. I went through the letter written to all senators and members of the house of representatives. The letter I can see is a misplacement of anger,” he said. “Our leader is mistaking the eighth national assembly as the same senate assembly that defrauded him in 2007. Those who collected his money and refused to implement the 3rd term agenda. I appeal to baba that we are not the ones please. After nine years of that bribery saga, the first of its kind, I expect forgiveness to have taken place. “There was the case of bribery introduced by the Obasanjo regime in the desperate attempt to remove speaker Ghali Umar Na’abba from office then. In fact, there was open display of that bribery money on the floor of the house. That government exposed the national assembly to corruption and easy money. I hope this is not in an attempt to cover up and distract attention from the Halliburton and Siemens corruption allegations. “While I am against corruption anywhere in Nigeria, I will not support accusations based on anger and vindictiveness. The eighth senate should also look inwardly and purge herself of all the deliberate misgivings of the past. Nigeria must work and we must support the anti corruption stand of the Buhari administration. God bless Nigeria.” |
