FXKing2012:Don't generalize mate. I don't think you have asked me a question and I didn't answer to the best of my knowledge. Of course no one has all the answers, thats why it is good to ask as many as possible to as many ppl as possible |
Thank You ![]() the other reason being, i know i will die when i become old. as a Pagan Traditionalist, let me explain to you: first remember that i believe in 2 sides of the world. the material world (the tangible world) and the immaterial/spiritual world (the intangible world). both form some kind of a parallel universe i s'pose. requires some more research. . now, The basic Law of Nature - The Law of Physics states that (material) energy can neither be created nor destroyed. it is conserved., i.e., it will move elsewhere. {you must have studied this in school in physics class} In the same way, Spiritual Energy (the soul) can neither be created nor destroyed. it is conserved. i.e., it will move to another body. now i am not sure if it can move to a non-living object as well. considerable research needs to be done on that matter. i dont use firewood or paper. i have an electric oven. Thank you for the offer though. .:/ yes light in darkness. darkness in light. i was always in light though i dwell in darkness. .
I agree with your premise but not your conclusion. which has one major point that can be called a "flaw". How can you be certain there is such a thing as spiritual energy.? It has to exist first before it can be conserved or converted. Someone said once that you can see that when you dream. But dreaming and dying are two different things. one has an active brain and the other has a dead brain. How can we then prove the existence of souls? |
Freksy: Evolutionary theory holds that as animals progressed up the evolutionary scale, they became more capable of surviving. Why, then, is the "inferior" ape family still in existence, but not a single one of the presumed intermediate forms, which were supposed to be more advanced in evolution?wrong! Let me put you in a cage with a chimp or a gorilla and we'll see who is inferior. They only developed down another line. We gained brains, they gained strength. Pros and cons can be debated openly anytime |
fellis: True. But what if he isn't? What if the way the world came into existence and continues to exist is how He wants it to be?on the contrary. We are just saying there is no evidence to support him. on a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being there is definitely a god and 10 being definitely none) I will count myself as a 7. it is rather you guys asserting that there is surely a god |
fellis: So what if the real interpretation of the verse was the things usisky wrote? What if that is the accepted meaning that has been agreed on since the verse existed?Very good points you raised here. I guess that is the tricky part of everything we debate about. someone said to me "He is God, He can do whatever he wants" and I replied him.. So what if he is gone and never coming back? |
buzugee: I guess you can see it that way which would make the colonial masters hypocrites for thinking of their victims as inferior and as such i wouldnt even attach any gravity to the mindset of a thieving killing hypocrite towards his victims. you shouldnt even regard or consider the mindset of the hypocrite and view parallel situations with the hypocrites mindset. that smacks of inferiority complex. you should be able to view situations standalone without projecting to other peoples mindset, not especially the mindset of a killing stealing scumbag.wont be caught dead reading anything else lol |
buzugee: ok i see where you are coming from. but what the colonial masters did was part of biblical prophesy. jeremiah 2 vs 14, habakkuk 1 vs 12, job 24 vs 5. all biblical prophesy for which they will wish they hadnt done because they will be recompensed double for what they did. numbers 35 vs 33, genesis 9 vs 6, revelation 13 vs 10, revelation 22 vs 18, galatians 6 vs 7. so dont worry about what the 'colonial masters' who are edomites did. they are about to be slaves in the kingdom of heaven we shall possess them as slaves revelation 13 vs 10, isaiah 14 vs 2, jeremiah 30 vs 16 and 17, lamentations 4 vs 21 and 22. there is a method to the madness. the edomite was set above us for correction.psalms 17 vs 13.that is the same thing innit? when one person regards the other as sinful. Since one with sin is not allowed to judge, anyone who uses it sees himself as sinless hence the other person is inferior. as for the verses, I'll look them up tomao. im tired lol |
buzugee: yeah me toolol. all i'm saying is. That was the general view colonial masters had on their subjects. as Inferior. and i kinda flinch each time I see something similar |
Your asking the same questions as "How did TB Joshua predict the american shootings before it happened" See mate, making vague statements that can be interpreted any which way is not the sign of a god to me. funny thing is, If I could read Arabic I will come out with a different interpretation than these. Problem is, your first line doesn't follow with the others. Let me explain. What you guys are claiming that the Qur'an confirms the bigb@ang theory right?. Problem is, after that we don't need god anymore to command life and make the sky or whatever else he did. we now know everything else sorted itself after that. I'm not impressed by those probabilities to be honest. the other one is even larger than a googolplex so how the hell did they get that enormous number |
buzugee: i see you done had one too many gulders because you are making no sense. you are making about as much sense as a 7ft tall midgetlol. Touche I actually saw a 7ft tall midget d first time i tried weed lol. but seriously mate. try to replace the correction I gave u into the original comment and see if u get it now |
usisky: Mr. objectivity. I implore you to at least click any of the links before your pronouncement. ReportI have actually and they seem to all come up with funny probability as a way to say god must have a hand in it. Hence my comment. you know im right abi? |
thehomer: Look up Georges Lemaitre. He was the Catholic priest who first proposed it and worked out some of the laws associated with it.hahaha you really owned him on this one even the pope was happy a priest discovered this and attributed it to god. Later Lemaitre told him to stop saying that. hahahaha very funny stuff. as for the guy chatting sh1t about bigb@ng, read my explanation here https://www.nairaland.com/996550/did-anyone-dead-living-witnessed scroll to the bottom |
usisky: https://sites.google.com/site/evidenceofgod/the-physical-universe/bigbang-equilibriumit is important not to get all your evidence/answers/research material from one source. so much for objectivity ![]() |
fellis: @Area_boy, I like the simplified nature of that write up. Did you compile everything it or is there a site you can link me to for more info?I compiled it from books I read and a few E-Lectures and tried to simplify it as much as my understanding can permit. There hardly is one site that will have all these together (not that I know of anyway) A good angle for further research will be to search works from these authors: Professor Stephen Hawking, Dr Michio Kaku, Professor Laurence Krauss, Professor Brian Cox and Of course the general relativity theory by Einstein. There are so many more experts in the field, but these guys make it look so simple. |
buzugee: what language ? the english language ? do you know what english means ? do you know how the language evolved into what it is today ? you will be surprised when i drop that knowledge on youLOL! i dont even know how to respond to you. Ok let me explain that way of talking to you (the guy with so much knowledge on English lol). Simply what I mean is "That way of talking" |
I'll try to explain the big b@ng theory(no not sheldon and leonard lol ) based on an excellent lecture by a renowned physics professor L Krauss so most here that cant research will have a little idea of what it is exactly. Now, in the late 1920's a Lawyer turned astronomer Edwin Hubble discovered something amazing as he observed the night sky. He realised that over a long period of observation, some stars seemed to move farther and farther away from us. the closest ones moved a little and the farthest ones moved a lot (this point is very important for what I'll explain later). However, it made him feel we were the centre of the universe since everything was moving away from us. This will obviously agree with what religion will say god created us in the centre of everything. LOL. but anyway back on topic. So, let us imagine the universe on a two dimensional plane at different times t1 and t2 as shown in the image below. Now the galaxy on the right has been blown up uniformly in all directions (with no centre in mind) at time t2. Imagine us standing outside this imaginary 2d universe, we can clearly see that the expansion is uniform all the way right? lets pick on a galaxy at random from the right hand side and superimpose it on the original galaxy on the left hand side to see what happens. Below is a picture of our selected random galaxy after this superimposed new dual galaxy, you can see that from an observer on the randomly selected galaxy as shown below, all other galaxies seem to be moving away from them. and this is true for any randomly selected galaxy. it doest matter which galaxy you observe from, the same thing will happen and make it seem like you are in the centre of the universe. So either everywhere is the centre of the universe or No where is the centre of the universe (weird conundrum, I know). But it doesn't matter, It is expanding either way whether you believe it or not Note: if you wana know how he figured out the expansion which has to do with how light travels, let me know and i'll run a commentary on that as well The simple conclusion for this observation Hubble made (that won him the Nobel prize) tells us that the universe is expanding. The next question was, is this expansion steady, slowing down, or accelerating. Calculating distance and velocity of the light ray hitting us from these galaxies to conclude an acceleration or deceleration or steady state (very complex stuff to explain, but If u need more on this let me know too). Along with this calculation is an accurate prediction the interaction between gravity and this expansion to see if we live in a closed, open, or flat universe. see the picture below to understand what i mean by open closed or flat universe All three of them will behave differently when light refracts through them as proved by the boomerang experiment in Antarctica In an open universe, light rays diverge as you go back in time (or look far enough) In a closed universe, light rays converge In a flat universe light rays travel in a straight line (just like magic, thats what we have) Flat universe means a lot of things, one of which is the expansion acceleration we were trying to determine earlier. Keep this in mind Now we all can agree about the universe expanding, Lets move on and talk about Light. Light is basically the holy grail of astronomy and cosmology as nearly all observations made is based on it. The speed of light is somewhere around 300,000 km/h (that is kilo meters per hour) and Einstein says nothing can travel faster than that. Observing distant planets pose a lot of troubles dealing with the huge numbers they present in terms of distance. For example, Jupiter is about 660 million kilo meters away from us. This number is tiny compared to the nearest star to us (The Proxima Centauri)at around 40 trillion Km. Now as the distance increases, we have more and more problem crunching down the numbers. So they device using the time it will take light to travel that distance and use it as a measure of distance itself which comes up to Light seconds, minutes, hours, days, years. Knowing our speed of light, we can divide the distance by that speed and get other values in Light speed So Jupiter = 32 light minutes (we can express it like this for now) Proxima Centauri = 4.24 light years (you can convert this to minutes or hours if you like). Right!. So we all understand expansion and speed of light. how do them both relate? Before we go into this I will like to explain one more thing about light travel. If it takes light to travel one minute from point A to an observer in point B, it means the observer at B is seeing a light originally emitted one minute ago in the past. So he is basically seeing the past. This continues for greater distances. Our moon we see it as it was 1 second ago. Jupiter you can see it as it was 32 minutes ago. Proxima Centauri we can see it 4.24 years ago. Hence light travel limitations lets us see into the past. Following this idea, if we can look FAAAAAAAAAAR enough, we will see the universe at is birth, right? or even the big b@ng happening? Well, not exactly. It turns out we can only see about 13.7billion light years in all direction after what we hit a wall. Again are we in the center? or is there a problem.? This is where Cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR) comes in and is usually known as the "after glow" of the bigb@ng. If you keep looking back in time (far light distances in this case) the universe gets hotter and hotter and hotter until it reaches 3000 degrees (slightly warmer than Maiduguri HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) at about 100,000 years old (how did they determine that it is hot by simply looking at it? well, there is a strong relationship between light wave and heat so different colours or wavelengths of light will be seen for different temperatures). At this temperature, the radiation is hot enough to break apart atoms into protons and electrons leaving you with a funny charged plasma. and we know a plasma is opaque to radiation. so we can see this Plasma but nothing else after that. This wall runs all around. A prediction of a the big b@ng was that we must be able to detect radiation from all around due to the broken down atoms that form that plasma and Voila! exactly what we observe. You will find this funny but you and me have all seen this radiation. When you watch your old black and white television of the 1980's and NTA goes off air, you see static. This static is that after glow of the bigb@ng. =) (again another giant topic too) takes so much reading to understand this All these evidence confirm that the expansion came from one astronomical event that occurred a short while after that CMBR which is what we now call the bigb@ng. so, was it really and explosion? no one is saying that because the laws of physics didnt exist before then. so before you think in terms of bombs exploding, it is not quite that. Before you guys say what caused the bigb@ng, Remember I explained something about a flat universe as the exact model of what our universe is?. Do you know what the beauty of a flat universe is? The sum of energy in it = 0. that means, gravity, dark matter, atoms, particles, light, and the whole lot even black holes cancel themselves out neatly to give zero total enrgy (awwww I can feel a cold chill down the back of my spine as i type this. it is so beautiful hahahaha. Even god will be impressed. Lets forget all the complicated Greek symbols. they even daze me so much I feel like throwing up. But I wont for now . all you need to know is LHS represents curvature (geometry) of the universe and RHS is energy and momentumthe quantity that later jumps from LHS to RHS of the equation he called it the cosmological term which Einstien kept at the LHS of that equation but wanted to throw away so much cos he felt he didn't need it. It represented nothing. But later due to some mathematical magic (this is a jk btw LOL) The term jumped from LHS to RHS and everything changed. Y? because nothing causes it. when i say nothing i mean nothing, Empty space (70% of the entire universe is empty space) or as they will like to call it Dark matter. it does have energy and mass too as was discovered. Strange world we live in aye? Einstiens equation. He formed this even before the bigb@ng and it confirmed the same thing. I really will Shoot anyone that tells me the bigb@ng is rubbish ![]() One last thing I cant leave this without talking about what Professor Laurence Krauss said in his book "Atom". He was explaining how every atom in your body came from star dust. A star has to explode for us to get elements like carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron etc. The atoms in your left hand may be from a different star from the atom in your right hand. "So forget Jesus, the star died so that you and me will be here today" ![]() |
I have taken my time to make a write-up explaining the big b@ng.. will just copy and paste it here. Please take your time to read through. Don't make any judgement if you don't read to the end. I'm sure it will stop you from asking pointless questions like those. In the spirit of NL. my answer to your question is No I haven't seen either. but read below |
buzugee: i do not suffer reprobates to liveThat is the same language your colonial masters used when they enslaved your country men |
because i believe in re-incarnation.
can you explain how you came to this belief? ![]() |
as for Ijawkid, he should take some time to digest my explanation of the bigb@ng and not let anyone tell him it is faith |
FXKing2012: Why are u atheists only good at asking questions (albeit stupid) but never good at answering questions?cos asking questions is what brought us to our conclusions. You should try it, it doesn't hurt to ask questions. They only silly question is the one you don't ask |
davidylan: The question is have YOU any idea what this really is beyond just copying from atheist websites? you all seem to spout the exact same nonsense... have you no ability to think for yourself? We just keep reading the same circular logic everyday for 6 yrs now huh?you are an id1ot! I only found out atheist websites exist only a few weeks ago. All I know never came from any of that. and this is coming from someone who bases everything he says from the bible? fcking hell. Now read my post above and shut up for good.!! Noob ![]() |

ijawkid: Oboy no be small faith wey atheist and evolutionist them get o....Mate! WTF are you talking about ? Have you ever heard of cosmic microwave background radiation.?? the same thing that causes static on your tv and even radio. I know it is very high level physics stuff but just because you dont understand it doesn't mean it isn't true |
Its funny you guys waste your time with Daviddylan. He is a hardened creationist, even if God comes down to tell him it happened the evolution way, he wont believe. Next thing he will bring out his "I'm a scientist" card and hope to scare people away into thinking whatever he says is true. If that fails, he then attacks you're personality by calling you ignorant or s.tupid or whatever he can think of. Last time he said Telomere to Telomere fusion is impossible, after pumping him full of research materials, he changed his mind and then denies to have ever made that comment (read page 1 and 2 of this thread and see him make a fool out of himself)!! Grow up David ![]() |
One thing christians and most of d lot fail to reason each time they play they "hell" card is. Let's say u make it to "heaven", and one of your family member doesn't but rather ends up in "hell". Can u live with yourself happily in heaven knowing fully well that someone u love is roasting forever! Can YOU? If ur answer is anywhere around yes, u r evil urself. But if no, u might wana ask urself a few more questions about ur religion |
lilcutie8916: so u agree with me that some things are just beyond comprehensionI am yet to meet a trustworthy person that has seen something remotely similar first hand. Its always someone said or someone told me (classic case of "I know a guy that knows a guy that knows two guys"![]() So no. they are not beyond comprehensions as rightly pointed out by Macdaddy, but we simply don't understand yet ![]() |
davidylan: Until you are willing to show us these contradictions, u cowards are better off keeping quietlol. you have started again! ok I want you to clarify a few things for me 1) on what day did Jesus die? 2) How many people went to his tomb on the third day and what did they see? 3) was Jesus ever in Egypt or not? 4) how many times did the cock crow for peter to deny him 5) How did Judas die 6) under what Roman ruler was Jesus born 7) What were the last words from Jesus on the cross 8 ) what happened on the way to the cross 9) what happened as soon as Jesus died 10) did one thief mock Jesus or the both of them on the cross ... ... ... I can go on and on. and please refer to as much of the 4 gospels as you answer these |
davidylan: and somehow you figured out that the existence of Christ has no hard evidence to back it up?with all the conflicting stories we have in the bible, I think i find it difficult to believe he existed. but again that is besides the point. Did he do what they claim he did? was he born of a virgin? did he walk on water? did he resurrect on the third day? is he the son of god? No evidence for these just as there's none for the other silly gods that share similar stories in one way or the other |
davidylan: A point based on what research? Because an uneducated areaboy says so?Not at all, I've never claimed fact. Neither do I believe any of those claims. I'll try to reiterate my point, hopefully you'll get it this time With NO hard evidence, a claim or myth should be left as what it is. Why give preference to one over the other? |
davidylan: Dumb. Apparently u didn't need any document to push the Krishna myth but here u are bleating piteously for one document for Jesus? It is important we all learn how to read and understand! dont come here beating your chest like a champ when you're contradicting your own line of reason. i say again THEY ARE ALL CLAIMS. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT. |
