Sorry for the loss of your brother.

But is she really sure of the claims she is making?
How did she know it was overdose? Does she know the recommended dosage for that particular drug? undecided

Again. A lot of adverse reactions occur during and after blood transfusion.. I mean A LOT, even when there donor and recipient's blood group matches..

Woman. Get ur facts right and sue them. Otherwise, you could be sued in return.
Once again, sorry for the loss.

Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Areaboyfriend(m): 11:23pm On Sep 08, 2018
TheCar:

As a partner who don't currently drive on the platform, you can start the business if you get someone with good driving and car maintenance culture to drive your car.

You also need a good and trustworthy mechanic for preventive maintenance and repairs.

I am based in Lagos, so I really can't give you an accurate advice on how to manage your car and driver remotely but I can suggest the following:

1. Get a good fleet manager. I don't use any so I can't currently recommend any at the moment.

2. Get a car tracker to remotely monitor your car movement.

3. If possible, recruit your driver directly. Have a one-on-one relationship with the person. Don't make him a third person in the transaction. Let him know you're available and ready to listen when he has something to say. He his the probably the most valuable piece in your value-chain if you want to do this business remotely. He use the car daily, so should get his feedback.

4. Take your car repairs and preventive maintenance very seriously.

5. There would be downtime, so please don't calculate your Return On Investment (ROI) on a 52 weeks a year.

6. Do pay unannounced visit to Lagos, for surprise check and balance on your investment.

So should you invest in this business, my answer is capital YES, if you can get driver and mechanic recruitment right.

I do wish you the very best of luck.

Thanks TheCar. Are you a partner?

Sorry for late reply.. Yes am not a driver, yes am not Base in Nigeria, but nobody knowns when I come and go ..I could be in Nigeria now ..would I announce to the public... so to the koko

I will advice you not to go into if you are not going to be Lagos. The business is crazy at times, from experience I had to deal with both bad drivers and managers ...the manager part of it is like the blind man leading blind... there is so much poverty that me self I no fit explain... I don't want to go into details now.. The business is ok ,at least rental is about roughly between 30k to 35k range with a good car ...giving it to somebody to manage is tough one... some manager will deliver your money today and than come back to collect it in form of repairs ..mostly na lie the manager they talk.. And I can't voch for nobody on these thread to recommend... my advice for now don't do it ,due to u not been around and also to found good mangers is like looking for a needle in a haystack... this is my honest view on it ...
Thanks for your contributions

After all, you must make careful plans before you fight a battle, and the more good advice you get, the more likely you are to win.

Areaboyfriend - Since you're not based in Lagos, I also think my advise would be kinda biased.

You can also hear from owners who don't drive and aren't based in Lagos.

I think Dru23 is in the best position to give you a candid advise considering the following:

1. He is a car owner
2. He doesn't drive on the platform
3. He isn't based in Lagos.

I have been interested in this uber /taxify business. I feel in love with taxify when I visited Lagos recently. I spoke with a driver driver and he said some of them could remit 30k per week.
What do you guys advice? Bearing in mind that I don't reside in Lagos to monitor my drivers. Is having a supervisor necessary?

Lately, I am beginning to see Saraki as a good leader.
He's one the Nigerian youth can count on. He isn't ignorant and he's very smart!
A kind of leader we need.

BTW, this is Nigeria, and my freedom of speech stil matters on paper.
Health / Re: Do Doctors' Hippocratic Oath Count? My Experience With A Doctor by Areaboyfriend(m): 5:15pm On Sep 01, 2018
The OP is a military officer,...... lipsrsealed
First of,
I have had a lot of experiences in the Nigerian clinical settings.
I have worked in a private hospital where I got home with half of my salary just because of a patient that asconded after treatment..
Every hospital(most especially the private ones) have policies! In some hospitals, assault victims are not treated until a police report is brought....
However, I condemn the attitude of the first doctor you met (as you stated here) even though we didn't hear from the dockay himself. But I hope you were also polite enough with him (you know how officers behave sometimes).
Record has it that private clinics in Nigeria loss about 20% of their expect income to asconds. C'mon, they too have bills, workers, and taxes to pay.
OP, I understand that feeling, u should try get over it (especially because your fiancee is a MEDICO) and always see the Nigerian hospitals as not a charity centres.

Lastly, the solution to all these mess is HEALTH INSURANCE! Stop collecting money at polling centres ya all! grin

Similar something happened to me last month.
NEVER EVER compromise for any woman!
Be smart, don't just trust any woman, cos they do shit behind you!
Spend time improving on yourself. Yes be selfish in a relationship, cos when it happens all the precious time you spent will be gone grin
Don't ever play the gentle man role. Bleep her real good, cos if you don't, another will help u. cheesy
Don't just invest in a lady, make her invest in you too, so she would have something to be scared of lossing.
Lastly, STOP dating broke girls.

And to the OP, I know the phase isn't easy for u, but u will pass through successful. Don't think too much about what happened, just move on!!
