The guy you quoted is a learner. Out of the abundance of the heart speaketh......you know the rest. The girl has been sizing up OP and might even have one or two guys already lined up. She might even be multi-dating already. Even if you continue dating her, never take her serious again. If you used to give her money, stop. Better still tell her to upgrade since it's human desire to get the best.

I fear o. There's no pleasing some people. Let me list more achievements aside Western Germany & Michelle.

(1) A new mathematical breakthrough: 97% + 5% = 100%
(2) Body language as government policy implementation method
(3) Press ups as scare tactics against Boko imbeciles
(4)Discovery of multiple unofficial/unapproved pre-election manifestos/Confusion as what APC manifesto now actually is.
(5) Intra-party feuds and NASS coups in a ruling party
(6) Blaming Previous govt for everything without showing way forward
(7) Travel-mania
(8 Northernisation policy
(9) Appointing Bob Marley fan as image maker. Branding fellow citizens of different political opinions Wailing Wailers.
(10) Constant noisy threat of probing previous govt officials thereby giving time for corrupt ones to hide as much loot as possible.

Still ensure you have a wad of cash just in case. Otherwise they might force you to produce a non-existent Babalawo who prepared it for you.

Whatever your defence mechanism, assess the situation and number of attackers. Did you get a second opinion?

I know a woman who was pregnant and a doctor after doing scan said fetus was dead. No heart beat. Was prepping for a Da d C in 3 days if it doesnt happen naturaly. She and hubby left and went for second opinion and baby was fine. Tiny heart was beating today he is a healthy 10 year old. Why force a girl to accept she had an abortion?

There have been lots of cases where doctors were wrong.
Well after much foot dragging the girl and mum reluctantly agreed to tests which we did. The problem was confirmed but they insisted it wasn't a problem at all. They then went ahead to a doctor they know to arrange with him. The dad was in the hospital administration. Instead of all going together as agreed, they went there first to wait. The doctor then completely forgot to interpret results independently or explain what the results mean saying it can be done abroad. If no problem why need to go abroad? shocked They refused to go to another hospital where they know no one. They then seized the results. But unknown to them, I'm quite familiar with reproductive science. cheesy. Luckily a copy of the initial diagnostic report was with me. They didn't know a copy was made. I gave my former prof, an award winning assisted reproduction expert in the West to have a look. My dear, there's so much 419 in 9ja. Too many are ready to deceive for some pecuniary gains. Force to admit ke? When I know someone who witnessed it? How do you think I found out, from Ifa? grin cheesy

President Buhari has confided in Chief Ogbonnaya Onu he has great plans for him and his other Igbo technocrats.

SGF is known to be a "secretary"; serving memos, writing minutes in council meetings. Chief Olu Falae made the position prominent under IBB. I don't even know the ones before him. I doubt google does too Anyim Pius Anyim was the demi-god in GEJ's dispensation. Buhari is ending that right away.

Na small time e remain now, dem go dey offer pipo SGF and Chief of Staff, dem go dey reject am...dem go prefer make dem siddon for dem village, dey earn small change dan 2 dey share memos, write minutes n dey cook President food.
All na lie. To obfuscate people. Who says they are not important? GMB wants Northerners being in charge of Aso Rock fully. He wants Southerners at arms length away in the ministries or preferably in third tier embassies in far flung places. I think people should let GMB chose his team, even if all from Daura. Stop crying for crumbs. If not, 4 years from now, Northerners could use it to explain away his failure. That he wasn't allowed to chose a competent team.

You're the one that's guilty of double standard.

You're commending Fayose's appointment while condemning Buhari. Isn't this curious?

In any case, while I didn't defend Buhari's cert, comparing Buhari's records to that of the carpenter isn't smart at all. Haba!

Enough of this blind partisanship.
At least the illiterate guy didn't rape the collective will of Nigerians and commit treason of coup against democracy. Or was coup plot allegations not what they shot Dimka, Bisalla, Vatsa and Orka for? The illiterate is a far more honourable man. Well, you stated clearly that an educated man is better as council leader. So I have to remind you of the barely educated guy in charge of a whole country. You were the first to cast the stone. Simple.

Your argument would be valid if I said illiterates were not intelligent. I never said so.

An educated person would perform better than if he were an illiterate. Yes or no?

Would you refuse to send your children to school?

Does Fayose's appointment make sense considering today's realities?

Mind you, there are also snobbish illiterates. There are also very intelligent illiterates but the lack of education hampers them in today's world.
In Nigeria, modern realities have no validity in politics. If it did, we would have Fashola, Ribadu, El-Rufai, Donald Duke or one of the few with a good record in Aso Rock, not someone who once committed treason by overthrowing a democratic government and is yet to show us something as simple as school cert that exam body can issue or confirm easily. Let's not succumb to double standard for expediency.

Try and marry an illiterate and enjoy all the things you mentioned and don't also send your children to any school.

Do you agree with this? Or have you done it already?
Many of our mothers and grandmothers didn't go to school. They didn't have the chance. Modern women have nothing on my grandma, not in business acumen or being a mother or wife. I know many illiterate wives still better than many who use time at school to become whores. It's not degrees that matter. I met many snobbish rich ignorant students while attending a top European university. I'd chose an illiterate over them anytime. Granddad that was just educated enough to read and write, but better in Arabic, managed town traditional financial affairs as far back as 1930s to 50s. No single rumour of embezzling money. That matter here is ability of Pa Afolayan to manage the local council and I strongly believe he can't do worse than the so called educated.

When them tell people say Karma is a bit*h, them go dey do gragra. How can you take a lady from her father's mansion to the BQ you live in without telling her that you got low sperm count. He just got served.
But there could be reasons. Maybe he could not bear to break up the engagement. He said he found out "just" before the marriage. OP should have found out "just how close to wedding" it was. Anyhow paying bad with bad does not cut it.

This is coming from a guy who was once duped by an infertile girl. Wasted two years with her only to find out about 6 months to marriage. From a clinical source. No single doubt. She had destroyed her womb through abortion. One was ready to forgive but for the continued lies and denial by her and her mother. One wanted her to get any possible treatment like IVF and bills no problem. If they just admit and come clean. But they continued the lies. Their dad didn't know of her abortion. As usual mothers and daughters keep these secrets. All they both wanted was just for her to get abroad. So everything had to end.

One funny thing is many people, even educated folks, still regard male infertility to be same as impotence. Very funny hearing it in a clinical setting. grin

In another news: 50% of first born kids belong to another man & 30% of all kids belong to another man. Men's infertility is NOT responsible for all that.

See another upside down argument.

I pity Nigeria!
What is upside down in it? Or you argue that we didn't contribute more to mankind in pre-colonial times than now? How many current innovations in Nigeria of 170 to 200 million are rated first class?

I have been to Museums in most Western European capital cities. Our contribution in the arts and governmental institutions of monarchy rival most contemporary civilisations. Did they have degrees to do it? No.

They were self-reliant, innovative and came up with techniques to produce things. The first white people who saw them thought they have been made by a more "superior race". So was it in Nubia/Sudan, Benin Empire, Oyo, Nri, Zimbabwe, Buganda (now in Uganda), Ngola (now in Angola), etc.

Fact is if Nigeria had been ruled by a bunch of illiterate Baale drawn from across the country since 1960, our situation won't be any worse than it is, Maybe even better.
