POSTER: Maybe those people prefer to forget the PAIN and difficulties they left behind in Nigeria. If somebody for example was desperate enough to travel through desert at risk of death, then they can hardly be proud of such country ( but may be fiercely proud of their New Yam festival, Eyo Masqurade, Argungu festival, Igue festival, Durbar etc). People have the right to associate with or dissociate themselves from any country be it country of birth or whatever: many Nigerians willingly give up Nigerian nationality. EXCEPT you want to claim that your judgement or way of life is the only correct way and superior one. I took all my UK-born children to visit Nigeria just last month, one loved it, one didn't. If that's anything to go by, one may want to go back in the future, the other may decide not to. You must realise that there are many people out there who do not believe in the Nigeria project anymore and agree with Awolowo who called Nigeria " a geographical expression". And some see it as "the mistake of 1914." Also even you poster, i bet you have a lot more loyalty towards your tribe than to the Nigerian entity. LOYALTY IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM. THE MORE POLITICIANS LOOT (due to lack of loyalty), THE MORE PEOPLE SUFFER, THE LESS LOYALTY TO NIGERIA WILL BE. It's a vicious circle. |
It is not bad for a lady to propose but it's much more romantic for a man to do so. It is all fairly recent that Africans now propose directly (due to babe), Maybe less than 70 years. It used to be between two families (depending on culture and time, after dude and babe have agreed that they like each other). So the Westerners we are copying verbatim, how are they doing it?? It is still the men who propose 99% of the time. Trust Dudu man: after marriage when wahala don shele, na so the man go say " I no plan to marry you o, na you dey knee down beg me up and down to marry you. Na pity I take gree to marry you". ![]() |

You're joking sha, Make person with 2 blind eyes go help someone with 1 blind eye? Let Naija sort itself out first. All those other countries take delight in mocking naija when she has problems. Charity should begin at home. There are LOADS of people on 010 diet in naija or should we wait till they turn skeleton before helping them ?Time for playing yeye big brother don pass. |
@ihebrooke, Thanks. In the process. Will do so when ready. @select, Thanks. |
Hi Poster, Can you tell me more about (1) Odogunyan 950k/plot (2) Mowo Kekere 900k/plot (3) Majidun 950k/plot (4)Ajebo Water front 800k PLOTS. Is there light and motorable road? How far are they from Ikorodu garage? What titles have there? Any govt/acquisition issues? And Omo-onile wahala nko? More details please. pithasmen@yahoo.com |
@ Ihebrook, Can one fit in a building containing 1 unit of 2 bedroom flat with sitting room and kitchen and 2 bathrooms + 1 unit of miniflat (1 bedroom and sitting room and kitchen and 1 bathroom) into a 60 x 60 or 120 x 30 piece of land in Lagos and still have space for 2 cars? Can you show any model of such here for me to see? What is the NLer price for you to do the building plan? And also include seperately the cost of building plan approval for Ikorodu area and Badagry. pithasmen@yahoo.com Thanks. |
watching this space eagerly |
Will it fly for 440k guv'nor? |
what's your best price? Titles? Flood problems? Raft foundation needed? Is it just virgin area without buildings yet? Thanks. |
Poster, Where is Yewa estate? Is it 60 x 60 or 120 x 30? Which land documents are there? Lagos is flooded now, is the area free from flood? Is it inside estate or just the area is called Yewa estate? Do you also have full plot there for 460k? |
I know it's close to Egbin PS but is there actually electric power in the area? Is it and agric land or residential land? What documents/title have the lands? Last price? |
They should also sack Oba of lagos and much of isaleko as they of Edo origin too. Of course ethnic bigots will not do their homework before they start arguing this again. |
What's your best price for two plots together paying at once? I think N300,000/2 plots is a good offer. Is it just a virgin/bush plot at the moment? How much is survey plan in the area? Are you initiating global Cof O? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, REALTY: |
interesting, what's the minimum accepted sponsorship exactly, how will they determine what amount of land to give you? Compensation formula? Where exactly in Ogun & Lagos states? |
How genuine is this land? It has even no survey plan. Have you read Lawyer Matto's advice on buying land? Please do if you haven't. Is the foundation with German floor? Is light in the area? Motorable road? Pictures speak volume if added. |
Thanks Timehin, Just a little clarification about Oluodo: is 1.7/1.8m the cost per plot OR cost of processing C of O?? Is the Estate not applying for a global C of O? As for the GOVT. Gras scheme, is it from secondary market or still direct from Alausa/LSLB? Enquiries last year about Govt schemes seemed to suggest that Alausa people and friends buy up most of it and resell at inflated rates. |
olas2u:Thanks Olas2u. Fact is that my projects have been outside of Lagos. I have only tried to work on what I started in the past. I thought it would be good to just have something around Ikorodu before it turns to Lekki that one completely ignored then. Not really looking for Anything special but more focused on long-term appreciation. Anyway you haven't given the going rate for GRA1-3 per plot in Ikorodu. |
Timehin:Thanks Timehin, As for the OLUODO estate, is it actually in an Estate? Please more details on those properties (all of them) including title documents please). The GOVT one please also elaborate on it. Is it government scheme? I have followed your posts on Lands for a long time but never got round to reaching you. So I hope I can get more reliable information from you than the others I have dealt with from NL. |
olas2u:Thanks Olas2u, Can you elaborate on this? Are you talking from experience of that or somebody you know? You mean it is easier to be cheated at the lower end of the market than at the other end? |
Dear NLers: I need a plot of land at Ikorodu under 650k. I have found some estate agents difficult so far. Some have told me stuff about land that turned out to be different. If inside an estate fine but not necessary. It should have: Easy access to a tarred road (not expecting a plot along a tarred road but not too far). Ijede, Imota, Lucky fibre, Isanwo and co are fine. Light in the neighbourhood Can be a fast developing area Flat table land, not waterlogged and not require raft foundation. NO OMO ONILE WAHALA HAS TO BE GENUINE LAND Free of Acquisition No Encumberance No legal battle over it Not Agricultural//industrial land reserve Tell me what title you have on the land I want the land as soon as I can verify that it's genuine. I don't want to spend over 650k on a plot so that I can at least put a foundation as soon as possible. I have other commitments curently. All the genuine land sellers in da house, over to you. Thanks. Email: manoman20112012@yahoo.com |
