holatunjii: The land is gone since last year December.Thanks. But take out time to write SOLD on those you have already sold. |
Which year was this car built? What's the mileage? Is it petrol or diesel engine? I am a Local potential buyer. |
I believe it is better breaking nigeria to protect the life of the people. I notice most people are promoting their selfish ambition and not about the life and safety of the people. This is what should matter the most for anyone who really claim to love nigeria. and it should not be about anybody. it should be about how to get the lifes of millions of nigerian to safety. I dont trust anyone. at the moment I think I should be the president, not because i am been selfish but because I will protect the lifes of millions of nigerian. Most of this politician are all about contract and all that. it is all about money for all of them. I know i may sound selfish. but i am not been selfish here. look the lifes of millions of nigerian is in danger. and I think, i have no confident in any other person ability to make the best decision to protect the lifes of millions of people. I can not trust anyone to protect the lifes of millions of people. apart from my own heart. most people are just about the money and the glory. they are not been sincere. i know the north will not suffer. I will make sure they get part of the oil money. [/quote . they are not been sincere. i know the north will not suffer. I will make sure they get part of the oil money.
. they all have/had similar opinion of themselves. As much as I agree with your idea of "To your tent O Israel", I cannot trust you with presidency. I don't want to find out after voting you in that you too didn't have SHOES. LOLZ. |

Eeh, no man or woman no matter his/her qualities can do it. No matter how tight you weave a basket, it will still leak water. Naija is a particularly porous basket case. That would have been possible in the 60s and maybe just after the civil war if things had be handled correctly. The rubicon has already been crossed several times over. Different nationalties or groups thereof will have to pick up the shattered fragments and rebuild since it appears tearing apart will not be achieved peacefully (thanks to the core north). We're all collectively sleepwalking into disaster. No man can stop a fast-moving train with his bare chest. Call me a pessimist. Doing the ostrich will get us no where. |
Location please, and can you show some pictures of interior here on NL or to: pithasmen@yahoo.com |
can 420k fly this ride? |
Holatunjiii: A plot of land measuring 40ft x 120ft at the back and 60ft x 120ft in the front + 2 Rooms foundation at Ifelodun Bus-stop, off Isawo Road, Igbo-olomu, Owutu, Ikorodu, Lagos State. Is this land still available? The land doesn't appear to be flat. How far from Ikorodu bus stop by okada and by car? Is light in the area? any accessible road? any acquisition issues? |
chaircover: I am not speaking on behalf of the NL charity but these are my own personal comments.@Chaircover, Spot on Chair-woman. Too late to save the feet now. Most likely Type 1 diabetes wasn't diagnosed on time. It is otherwise an eminently controlable disease. Symptoms are usually obvious, though rarer than type 2, even teenagers can develop type 1. I have seen a 10 year old & 13-year old girl develop it. The type 2 probably came as type 1 was not controlled (if at all the type 2 was well-diagnosed). BUT for the amputated stumps to heal properly, he will need very good treatment. Diabetes foot care by a podiatrist is extremely important to prevent disability. And of course neurologist and maybe a vascular surgeon to monitor things. These are not rocket science. I see naijas doing it here in diaspora with admirable aplomb. WHAT IS THE GOVERNMENT ACTUALLY DOING ![]() ![]() ![]() ? They can't even provide diabetes care?? |
Dear purewater / Table producers and prospective producers In the just concluded ATWAP general meeting of all producers in Lagos held at Railway Recreation Club, Alagomeji, Ebute Metta on wednesday the 10th of february 2012. purewater now goes for N10/sachet and N100/bag ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, By gathering together as table water producers and FIXING and enforcing a price, are you sure you're not VIOLATING competition laws and Naija has no laws at all? You guys are essentially forming a cartell and preventing savings made by those who can produce cheaper from being passed on to consumers. It is therefore against public interest. It should not happen in a free market. Only a price control board set up or approved according national/state law or constitution/parliament can do that. What is the position of the law on your price control methods? Does it mean every industry now operates Agbero motorpark style? Wearing Hi-Viz jacket looking like NAFDAC or EFCC does not make it right. |
The average Nigerian pastor seems to know nothing more than what is written in the bible, with no context, background or real depth. Their interpretation of the bible is literal and pedantic betraying their poor education and simplistic intellects. The intellectual deficit is made up for by an over emphasis on blind faith, endless clapping and dancing and false miracles. Most of these guys seem to know next to nothing.

Pray, is there are any requisitie qualification needed to become a Nigerian pastor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @Poster: I have been privileged to be lectured by some Nobel Prize winning and top scientists and Theologians alike. I can testify regarding the sharpness of mind of those theologians. You see, ours is a superstitious society. Intellect and scholarship are frowned upon or people are completely indifferent. The loud and boastful ones carry the day. One of the best professors I have ever had was one New Testament specialist (an eschatologist) who is now late. That says something considering comparison with Nobel Prize winners in Med & Physiol. In the African case, it is mostly about survival. We like to abdicate our duties and expect God to do everything for us. That's where "men of God" come in. They have figured out how gullible their fellow Africans are. When we fail as individuals, it is very comforting to hear somebody tell us (having had a vision) that "the enemy" caused it. I cringe when I hear those largely uneducated or half-educated pastors use the bible to explain things that are now fully explicable scientific phenomena like medieval people did. To cut the story short, you need no qualification: just rent one uncompleted building (you can be an armed robber at night), put a colourful sign board and call your church one outrageous name, claim to see more vision than Jesus himself, promise lots of miracles and you're good to go. |
I made the first few millions (Naira} around 24years and a few months. That was early 1990s and money had a lot more value then. So not strictly @ 24. But then I was in diaspora so does not count. I would most likely not have made first few millions in Naija in the early to mid-90s. You don't get much for a few millions these days. Lost much of it but luckily managed some fixed asset from it. Loss wasn't due to profligacy on my part but by trusting some people you thought were close to you. Life has ups and downs. Counting millions in account these days don't excite me. Use it in on things that will appreciate in value over time. In fact I don't really care. Being happy with one's family is far more important. To God be the glory. |
Ileke-Idi, Reason for marriage to a man of one's father's age matters o! If the man has come to perceive her as a gold digger, respect will be gone. She must be prepared to respect him like a father in African culture (this is not Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta Jones in America). Also don't forget that a 59-year old man can still smack his 35-year old wayward daughter! Since he possibly has kids of her age, he might not see anything wrong with a slap or two when she proves naughty. A 59-year old's (especially a traditionalist) idea of romance and marriage may be different from that our sister here asking for our opinions. Also a 59-yr old guy would be less likely to consider marriage counselling. He might even consider it an insult. ALL THE THINGS MENTIONED DO NOT EXCUSE WIFE-BATTERING but just to make women consider these factors before going into these marriages. Well, first of all, thank God that you're still in one piece and hopefully your children won't suffer long-lasting emotional issues. Your 12-year old appears quite mature to give you the advise most adults would have given you also. Since you husband has a flair for catching young fresh girls, it might be time for him to upgrade again, afterall he was married before you. |
Sky news just announced that he's stable according hospital sources. That's very good news indeed. It can be quite tricky after a heart attack. |
jemby: The Bus is Available for Serious buyersHi Jemby, Will 255k fly this machine? Serious buyer? Can it be driven to Benin city without engine problem? |
poster, any pictures? |
tonididdy: u're the one who is buying not me,so please call 07036645401. Tonydiddy, Haba! You must be a civil servant or policeman. No business acumen at all. It is a buyer's market. If you live in Benin, take a stroll to Forestry Road or any commercial street and see how Ibo traders hussle customers. Many of them can boast 50million Naira wealth. Humility man. So you cannot use N100 to call a potential customer bringing you over N100,000? Despite living outside Naija for decades, if I come back home today and start a business, I would have the same humility as I had when I was in business back home then. You looking to collect cash, your hand should be longer. Cash has more value than old car. You use cash for many things. I say this because I always preach same to my people at home. |
Mrs Chima is just the type that gives BW the stereotype of being angry and frustrated people who cannot see anything good in BM. A caucasion guy married to a Naija woman and beats her black and blue. She was so ashamed to tell us for a long time. We (a black couple) had to persuade them to seek counselling. I don't know of any BM married to BW who do same. |
nexeee: area fada....my dad is late..yet to tell my mum....i get along very well with other members of her family..infact her entire sibling all look up to me as their big brother..lol..the mum calls me her first son...they are really nice..I want to assume that you're more inclined to take the job than not. If you're a naturally humble person and can actually see and respect your FIL like your own biological dad, then fine. I mean if he should yell at one one day, you won't sulk and and say "is it just because I work for him?". It could be your break. You can help take the business to greater heights. It's a pity you cannot do your current job part-time and your FIL's part-time. Your BIL is still young, he won't graduate from uni at least until he's 20 years old. That gives you 6 years to estalish yourself. Regarding gold-digger, you didn't solicit for it. It's not like you're jobless now. It will be best to have a legal agreement. Should the worst happen to your FIL (GOD forbid), his extended family can become troublesome. |
Your best price mr duke. |
Dude, It maybe whatever.........to you. You basically misled by touting the car engine to be better than it is........ It is a buyer's market. A good businessman doen't take offense but uses criticism as a chance to clear the air. Fact is it is more likely for you to sell to somebody who can buy locally than than someone from Kaduna or Sokoto. Having done car biz from Europe 20 years ago, I know what I am talking about. This is not personal but I regularly condemn poor adverts here on NL. Long way to go dude. Good luck. |
Op, At the end of the day only you really know your in-laws. Your dad-in-law is clearly thinking about succession. That's a good thing. He clearly thinks you're a trustworthy guy. Remember he must have laboured hard to build that business. If your wife were a boy, she would most likely be the one doing what he wants you to do now. Consider the following: (1) How well did you know your in-laws before you married their daughter? (2) What do you know about your in-law's temper? Will you feel comfortable working for him? A working environment can have it's own challenges. (3) Can you build another business of your own alongside working for him just in case? Will he frown upon it? (4)How about your own family(dad, mum, siblings)? How will they view it? This may not seem important to some but it's not to be easily brushed aside? Also may affect your wife's relationship with your mum(your wife taking full control of you accusation etc). (5) Consider your income in the business and the nature of the partnership he has promised. Now you're independent earning your "moderate" income. But you can comfortably run your own family. You don't want what will seem like handouts from your dad-in-law. (5) Consider other factors not mentined above. If all seem postive BUT only your PRIDE as a man is at stake, I see no reason why you cannot work for him. my 2kobo. |

Niseamaka:. Nna, have you checked your HIV status. Visit SA, God forbid. With such high HIV rate, you can even catch it by radiation/conduction . I don't want to be fed to lions by some white racist farmer or shot like Lucky Dube. All these development you're talking of done by white people cannot be claimed by the average Sowetan. They are still suffering from post-apartheid paranoia (PAP) and PTS. Who wants to be killed when they suddenly run amok one day killing fellow Africans. They spent too much time being angry and violent, it is now firmly in their DNA. |
Tony, When I made the offer of 120k I thought the engine was in "best shape ever", as the first line of your advert says. Now it's smoking and needs rinsing How about transmission? Is there anything else you're not telling us?You still haven't given the MILEAGE. Or you don't have much access to the car? Is it registered? Are AC and CD player actually working? Please give these details. In light of the new "smoking gun", I will offer 102K. Someone in Benin there can come take it off you. Of course with a mechanic. It's going to be given to an elderly relative to cruise around town. |
Botox is made from C. botulinum toxin (an ordinarily potent/deadly bacterial neurotoxin) and paralyses the wrinkles to give a smoother facial appearance. May keep for a few months. So it's not a lasting solution. Consult your cosmetic surgeon first. Don't try quacks. |
Whether they resolve the row or not, South Africans should now be required to provide HIV TEST CERTIFICATE in the interest of public health. The HIV rate is too high there and their president thinks bathing can prevent HIV after unprotected sex. Thambo Mbeki was in denial of HIV scourge there for years. If Naija had the highest HIV rate in the world like them, they would require HIV certificate. The FG should review licences issued to SA companies. The sudden economic co-peration with Naija is because they have way more to gain. The white South Africans who are still angry over the role FG played against apartheid are using SA authorities to Punish Nigerians. |
