The way Nigerias see wealthy people is quite different compared to the "oyinbos" . Over there things work an average person financially would hardly see the need for the things the wealthy man makes use of. for example an average person there (which is a majority of their population) has a car, same thing across the board so in real sense the average person doesn't really need the rich man... But here any rich person u see, u see as an opportunity to sell ur self... the economy is not working here and God help us it doesn't get worse... In reality Nigerians only hope is in her youthful entrepreneurs those are the only ones able to be innovative enough, brave enough to produce things

Even PTDF said you cannot choose UK and switch to FGM, but you have the option of turnionown around FGM (maybe dem no too rate FGM), now the comrade is saying reason his mentee ended in FGM is because he outperformed those that choosed FGM (like PTDF shared the result sheet with the successful candidates?), maybe previous or current scholars can help us confirm.

I can understand if maybe his mentee secured the scholarship on choice UK, but found a way of switching to FGM after getting the award, but that he outperformed those that choosed FGM and PTDF switched it for him? That invalidates the earlier assertions made then.

My only question sef that I'm curious about is, why are some Nigerians that have already secured MSc abroad coming to jostle for PTDF scholarship for MSc category again?

Also SOP, Research Proposal, Membership and Publication score is given during interview. Some people have fake publication and membership that do not meet the acceptance criteria.

Programming can't do the above.

This means sop will only be evaluated during interview? Or will it be evaluated after cause I think some people mentioned they didn't even ask them questions from their sop during the interview

Lets assume PTDF is taking 200 per state for interview - if someone with 1st class and 5As is 201st in their state, they won't be shortlisted. While someone with 2:1 and Cs is 3rd in their state, they will be shortlisted.

This means shortlisting is only a function of o level and not first degree

And this also means valuation for shortlisting is completely different from the final evaluation used to give the final award

Ehn ehn! This is interesting indeed ! But the other guy also said he had 2:1 in BSc but C grades in his O-level and he was shortlisted.

Hmmm are u sure it wasn't only o level da used for shortlist... and it could be majority o level result from that state were not exceptional. What other factor could come into play in the shortlisting...

Probably their SOP wasnt succint and they didnt have membership nor publications.

I advise you to write O level like how many people rewrote to have A,s and win PTDF like how many people did.

Membership and Publication combined together: 10 marks

2 marks for each. Ensure they are 5 in no order to get the full marks.

PHD SCORING CRITERIA

Pray that there are not many guru in your state. If you chose F/G/M, you have high chance of winning as many gurus with great score chose UK

Thanks for this, so this means that they went through every applicants sop and scored the sop.... and 6 subjects were picked for o level?.... God help us.... and last last Its a function of performance of ur state of origin and not local govt

Bro, the current arrangement is irrespective of the course of study. But one thing I noticed is this: majority of those at the top list had 1st class in BSc or distinction in MSc. However, WAEC grade seem not to be used in that ranking since the subjects that could be used automatically on the portal varies except for English and Maths. This would have also altered the list automatically. Hence the reason for actual interview where actual grading and assessment are done. Let's just hope in GOD for His grace and favour no matter our current rankings.

Just went through this list omo to scale through to the final list for anybody would be a miracle.....which means averagely like 1 or 2 persons wld get selected for UK people per state for msc
