otil1: The issue has never been whether GMB is qualified to run or not. Of course he is qualified. Tell me another story.. The question is, will you support a person of shady character to drive you through a dangerous road? Your opinion, but not according to millions of Nigerians. GMB's handling of the certificate matter proves he's not the change Nigeria is looking for. He wasn't even obligated to pay attention to your irrelevant and pointless certificate rubbish to start with.. It is not up to you or your type to define to Nigerians what change is, it's up to Nigerians to decide at the polls.. Obviously, he went into the army without wasc, a basic requirement. A product of favouritism and corruption cannot transform Nigeria. Though irrelevant and meaningless, it's still your opinion... Add all I said above to his past records in office and I will be surprised that educated Nigerians are still in support. We deserve the leaders we get. Truly. Educated Nigerians are tired of Jonathan and his crooked, corrupt and incompetent crooks.. Educated Nigerians are tired of Jonathan losing Nigerian territory to terrorists Educated Nigerians are tired of Jonathan not protecting them and letting terrorists kidnap and slaughter them Educated Nigerians are tired of Jonathan surrendering hundreds of school children to terrorists Educated Nigerians are tired of Jonathan pardoning crooks and convicts Educated Nigerians are tired of this daft, clueless, worthless and useless Jonathan ... Certificate or no certificate, jonathan is either heading back to his village or straight to jail... |

Faitholu: It is really amazing and utterly unbelievable to hear how some BIG fools here are calling others fools. I just can't imagine that some people who ought to know would become alliterates (not illiterates) just because they can't allow commonsense to overide their desire. Haba, if Nigeria needs CHANGE and want "change," is it CHANGE at all cost? 1. Must we stand logic in its head just because we need CHANGE? 2. Even if Buhari is the CHANGE we need, why. Can't he change the way he has applied to INEC in the past by presenting a certificate now, if he has one. The INEC rule in d past only demanded that you state your qualifications but now you are required to state it and attach it. 3. EVERYBODY does that, including Osinbajo, so why would we not require GMB to do same? 4. Remember, when PDP's Salihu Buhari lied on oath that he went to Toronto University, (despite that he already had d required WASC that ordinarily qualified him) yet he was nailed and sent out of d Speaker position and d house. 5. Instead of GMB to exemplify honesty and change by coming out to say: "pls Nigerians, I don't have WASC but I have other higher qualifications, due to so so and so reasons, why would he think he can be smart to fool everyone just because we need a change? 6. If you tell a lie, you would need many more lies to cover up the original one, that is what is happening. And don't forget, even if Buhari's lies has travelled far through 3 candidatures, d TRUTH would catch up with it one day (which is in 2015). I am a friend of CHANGE, but I won't support those who don't know when to owns up and stand for the truth and let d devil be ashamed.
APC and GMB should take note: You can fool all the people some of the times, you can fool some of the people all the times, but YOU CANNOT FOOL ALL THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIMES!
It is not a rocket science to know that GMB doesn't have it, no need for prolonged falsehood and arguments. It is falsehood that get delayed, truth is straightforward and simple! Unfortunately for people like you, he satisfied INEC's requirements and certificate is not even required by the Nigerian constitution, INEC is not complaining and INEC can not and wont disqualify him so exactly what are you troubling and killing yourself over... You people really need to get a life.... |

agabaI23: Far from being what you think. I am not being deceived anybody sir. I have facts. Not bitter and not one of those. get me a credible progressive from the North, better than GEJ, I will vote for him.
Apart from the certificate saga, I had already made up my mind on him. Go check my posts on his supposed economic miracle in the 80's
He has nothing to show for 20 months of military rule which could be equal to 4 years of civilian rule considering that he has no set backs from house or senate approvals. Whatever he wanted done was done via an instant decree yet
In March 1984, signed the the agreement that initiated the refining of Nigeria crude abroad for importation He built no refinery as you guys want us to believe He assumed office when the naira was 79k to $1 When he left office, it was 89k to a dollar The said he reduced inflation from 23% to 5% how? By forcing people to sell for instance a tin of milk they bought at N6 for N4.
Under him as the commissioner of petroleum, $2.8B was not accounted for Under him as the PTF chairman, N25B was mismanaged and he had no clue. His relative he placed in charge died when the PTF probe committe was constituted and the only exoneration OBJ could give was that he did not benefit. I know you are an honest man, tell if that was good enough? What is actually your grouse with GEJ? Tell me why you will vote for GMB if not for sentiment and I will tell why I have pitched my tent with him since 2011.
He does not know, not a card carrying member of any party. I do not work any contract for anyone. I am talking based on personal conviction. forget the oluwole certificate
But if I may ask, why was it easier for Buhari to go for an Affidavit while he could have gotten a certified true copy? Which one is easier? Why has it been difficult for him?
Bro talk to me... Still, your crooked, corrupt and incompetent GEJ still can not account for our $10 billion..... |

[s] searay: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS RE BUHARI's "CERTYIFICATE". ~ Bucky 2015.
Common Questions
1) Why are the dates on the certificate stamped 2015 and not 1961?
Answer: "The stamp and date served as authentication that the document was truly retrieved from the records of that Secondary School and it emanated from there. And, it MUST bear the date it was forwarded! And, Cambridge University also sent a computer print-out of the same certificate! So, the certificate itself bears 1961 while the stamp of the retrieving and forwarding establishment bears the date the retrieved document was forwarded (ie today's date). I am a professional Administrator." ~ Olasunkanmi Sukky Adeleke
2) There was no Primary 6 in Nigeria in the 1960's. Why did Buhari leave secondary school at 18/19?
Answer: Please see this write-up on Nigeria's educational history from pre- colonisation to date. In the 1950's and at least the early 1960's, Nigerian children spent 6 years in primary school, and 7 years in secondary school.
"In the 1950s, Nigeria adopted the British system called Form Six that divided grades into six elementary years, three junior secondary years, two senior secondary years, and a two-year university preparation program. Those who scored high on exit examinations at the end of Form Six usually were qualified to enter universities."

3) The army said Buhari had a pass in English but his certificate shows a credit in English.
Answer: The army actually said he had a pass in English Literature and a credit in English Language. Many peeps heard pass in English literature, and immediately jumped to the conclusion the army meant English grammar. smile emoticon
The link below provides copies of the army's letter and other documentation in Buhari's file.
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/…/175352-exclusive-nigerian-a…
4) If the certificate is false, why is the Buhari campaign confident enough to provide it to the press.
Answer: The Buhari campaign freely releasing this document to the media is the strongest piece of evidence that the documents are real. With all the information provided on the documentation, anyone can directly approach the Cambridge exams board, WAEC, The Katsina Education Ministry and Government College Katsina, to verify the information. With the examination number given on the certificate, it will be easy for those organisations to respond quickly. Please remember that this certificate was released directly by Katsina College, who made a copy available to Premium Times.
5) Why is his name spelled Muhammadu Buhari, but is Mohamed Buhari on the certificate?
Answer: Nigerian names commonly have many different variations of spellings, and it is not uncommon to find Nigerians with different spelling variations of their names on different documents - certificates, passports, birth certificates etc
Some people will always insist on spelling one's name the way they prefer even after seeing the correct spelling written out!
6) As Katsina State was not created until 1987, why is this certificate on the letterhead of the Katsina State Ministry of Education?
Answer: Buhari's secondary school, used to be known as Provincial Secondary School, Katsina, but is now called Government College Katsina. It is located in what used to be Katsina Province, but became Katsina State in 1987. As Katsina College is issuing a certified copy of Buhari's original documentation, they have transcribed it upon the official certificates used by the State today. It is why the exam is dated 1961 but it is stamped and dated by the principal on 21/1/2015 - the date the school reissued a copy of the certificate.
"~1947: Ibadan province split from Oyo; Katsina province formed from parts of Sokoto and Zaria; Rivers province split from Owerri."

7) Why does the certificate show a photograph [/s] With your investigative talent, you should be able to help us look for our missing billions and even look for chibok girls too.. |

https://www.nigeriancurrent.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Mimiko-Defects-To-PDP.jpgMimiko Launches ‘Believe Nigeria Trust Goodluck’ Campaign
Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko has launched ‘Believe Nigeria Trust Goodluck’ campaign to work for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
Flagging off the campaign on Thursday, Governor Mimiko said the vision of the political group was born out of his commitment to the promotion of good governance and visionary leadership.
The Ondo governor promised to oversee the operation of the campaign group to ensure Jonathan’s success in 2015 presidential election.
The ‘Believe Nigeria Trust Goodluck’ campaign which has a robust online presence, promises to be the first of its kind, as it plans to market President Jonathan’s candidacy through symposiums, workshops, townhall meetings, as well as social media channels, instead of the regular political rallies.
The governor also distributed 25 iPads, 25 Samsung tablets and a number of other ICT gadgets to online influentials who will serve as facilitators of the campaign. |

TundeCole: A group of youths under the platform of Patriotic Vanguard today staged a protest against General Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive congress. The youths are protesting what they term Buhari’s anti-democratic tendencies citing the extra-judicial killings of Bernard Ogedengbe, 29, Lawal Ojuolape, 30, Bathrolomeo Owoh, 26, over a retro-active drug law in 1984 when Buhari was head of state.
The youths are also protesting Buhari’s failure to show evidence of his academic qualifications which they described as a big question mark on his integrity. The youths call on genuine Nigerians to demand from INEC prove of his academic qualification to be stand for the February 14 presidential election. Patriotic Vanguard is also demanding that the APC and Gen. Buhari should furnish Nigerians with details of donors to the presidential campaign fund because it is evident that the APC is spending as much money as the PDP which generated 21 billion naira in his campaign. Illiterate PDP youth, according to the constitution you don't even have to see the 4 walls of any school to be the president of Nigeria, it doesn't even ask for any school certificate. gists: I probably should not respond to yet another fo0lish thread on this topic out of pure ignorance but I will make just one point to clear the air. It is INEC's and PDP's responsibility to verify if the result is genuine. You asked for his credentials (when the constitution didn't request for it), the man provided it and now you say its fake. How did you come to the conclusion that its fake? Do you have the genuine version? If INEC feels suspicious about the result of any candidate, should it be the candidate that will provide proof or should INEC go the extra mile to check the authenticity of the candidate's claim?
I am assuming you went to a reputable higher institution (and that itself is an assumption that you are old enough to be in higher institution). With the amount of fake certificates everywhere in the country, did your institution ask you to write/verify your WAEC/GCE/NETCO certificate or did the institution do the investigation/verification in the background without your knowledge? My certificates were verified without my knowledge and I didn't have to do anything. The question you will ask is how did I know my certificate was verified? Well because some people were sent packing from the university for fake O level results and their names were pasted on notice boards.
By asking someone to do the investigation on him/herself, what assurance do you have that he/she won't play a fast one on you? Do you sincerely expect anyone to provide proves that his certificate is fake? Sometime I just wonder why people find it difficult to reason intellectually.
So, the onus is on PDP/INEC to do the investigation and prove that what Buhari has provided is indeed fake and take necessary actions.
I reserve the right not to respond to mor0nic posts.
Thank you Good Post.. |

If he becomes president without qualification, then none of you supporters of him should be surprised when someone who can neither read nor write becomes a school teacher, someone who can't add or subtract becomes an accountant, and someone who never went to medical school becomes your doctor! Even apart from certificate, he met the basic qualification many times over so this certificate BS is a waste of time, you people should just go back to sharia and the other religious bigotry nonsense because this certificate thing is bad market for you...
