Buhari inherited sick economy from his predecessor (pdp), pdp destroyed/raped nigeria for 16yrs, pdp breeds corruption, bla bla bla!

Hope u all know that pdp did nothing of such but the people in the party and today 50% of those people are in apc chanting 'change'. I still dont see any hope for this country until this crop of politicians are wiped out!

Its just like some reckless drivers who drives for a transport coy and d passengers boycott this coy for another transport coy because of their reckless drivers. And then most of these drivers quickly run to this new coy to get employed as drivers. What do u expect to happen? A leopard never changes its spots.

The buck stops with the President and commander in chief and last time I checked, PMB was never a member of the PDP.

The reckless driver was the PDP and their 16 years of looting and stealing, inability to diversify, abandoning thousands of projects that ends up laying off thousands of Nigerians, looting and depleating our resources and in fact, we still wake up daily to the latest sad new and revelations about looted funds all over the place, stealing our money and giving it to dasuki to share, giving service chiefs national awards after looting $15billion instead of firing them?

The same reckless, incompetent and irresponsible GEJ who told us to get ready for pain, suffering and austerity when oil was selling for $74/PB

Thank God Nigerians made the right decision when they booted that worthless man who supervised the most crooked, corrupt and incompetent administration known to mankind out of office..

Someone with standard education doesn't need a job, he creates one. I will cite 2 examples
My boss, who graduated from yabatech in the 60s with just an ond in crude oil testing talks of how he refused offers from multinationals after he left school. He started a company which has over 1000workforce today.
I attended one of the state universities. While there I researched on converting MSW's from dumpsites in ph, to methane gas for domestic purposes. the estimate of methane from just 3 dumpsites would provide fuel for over 10000 houses annualy and thousands of job opportunities. The research was fully conceived by me and not by some professor, funded by me and done with very crude methods. I sent a proposal to ministry of energy but I havent had any response for years now.
Why would a mechanical engineer who has had thorough training on engine parts assembling and servicing walk the streets looking for job when he can establish a workshop? accountants that were taught well in school can merge and establish an accounting firm. Honor, dignity and class has to return to the educational system so that students can start thinking like their counterparts in better societies, as job creators and not job seekers.
This is top priority!
The fact that some can create their own jobs doesn't mean others can and the government shouldn't facilitate jobs for them.

Fingers are not equal my friend..

Willie2015:
Pls see specific action that the FG should put in place in this recession,

1. Fix Energy/Electricity problem - If FG can guarantee stable electricity supply of 20hrs in a day, it will reduce the cost of doing business by over 20% across board. Nigerian factories that moved to other African countries will return back to base, small scale industries will naturally spring up across the country and provide jobs.

2. Fix the Steel Industry - We need the FG to revive the moribund Steel Industry, steel development is believed to be the fundamental bedrock of economic growth. The iron and steel industry, as far as the development of all facets of life is concerned, is sine quo non. All other industries stem from the steel. The oil industry, the car manufacturing industry, the construction industry owe their existence and survival to the steel industry.

3. Build Road Networks & Improved Transportation System - FG need to invest massively into building road networks to solve the problem of demand and supply. We all know the poor status of our Railways, FG need to revive the railway networks to increase traffic volumes and secure a position as a key mover of goods and people.

4. Improved Agriculture Sector - We need the FG to encourage youths to move back farms by adopting improved farm mechanization, which is still a function of the Steel Industry and our Agric Research Institutes. We need to see programs that is geared towards taking excess farm produces from small scale farmers and encourage them to move to commercial level by creating less cumbersome process to export their farm produce. We need to see concrete partnership with private companies that will invest in preservation of excess farm produces at commercial level to sustain the interest and zeal of farmers to remain in production of crops and to stabilize price.

Nigerian are hardworking people, Let FG provide a conducive environment to do business, thats all we need and you will see the positive results. Investing in commercial/retail real estate is simply a misplaced priority and cant bring the country out of this economic recession.
1. We are laying solid foundation to eradicate completely poor power supply.

a. New 12 Solar power plants are coming up

b. The abandoned 4000MW Mambilla power plant is back on track

c. Egbin power plant is getting upgraded to 2500MW

d. Transmission grid is getting upgraded

e. Dangote vandal proof sub sea pipeline to supply gas to power plants is under constriction

2. After decades of corruption, mismanagement and incompetence, we are finally in control of Ajaokuta steal complex. The sky is the limit for us now..

3. Transportation is getting the largest attention in the history of Nigeria

a. Lagos Calabar railway project is the largest public works project in Africa and is set to employ thousands of Nigerians apart from the monumental transportation benefits like opening up the entire SS and SE and facilitating easy movement of goods and services to Lagos and other parts of Nigeria

b. The abandoned Lagos Ibadan expressway and other major roads and highways are back under construction with thousands of Nigerians collecting paychecks again.

c. The FG just singed contracts for the Warri - Abuja railway system which is also Major..

4. Agriculture is getting significant boost and we are already seeing results with the drastic reduction in market cost pf rice and significant local production

In 2 years because of Dangote's fertilizer plant, we'll have more than enough fertilizer and many left to export all over Africa

The FG is addressing every point you raise. Let me know if you need specific facts and documented facts..

We are getting there, even faster than expected...

WITH THEM FROM RIGHT ARE: DIRECTOR OF CRCC, DOU YISUO; DIRECTOR OF RAIL TRANSPORT, FEDERAL MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION, MOHAMMED BABKOBI AND LEGAL OFFICER OF THE MINISTRY, IJEOMA UCHE. THE AGREEMENT IS TO COMPLETE AND EXTEND THE CENTRAL RAILWAY LINE TO WARRI TOWN, PORT AND REFINERY; AND TO EXTEND IT NORTHWARD FROM EGANYI-JAKURA-BARO TO ABUJA. 5658/12/8/2016/BJO/NAN
MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION, CHIBUIKE AMAECHI (L) EXCHANGING A SIGNED AGREEMENT FOR THE COMPLETION OF WARRI-ALADJA- ITAPKE-AJAOKUTA-BARO-ABUJA (CENTRAL) RAILWAY LINE WITH THE VICE PRESIDENT, CHINESE RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (CRCC), CHEN XIAO XING (2ND-L) 5658/12/8/2016/BJO/NAN

The Federal Government on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) on the completion of Warri-Ajaokuta-Itakpe-Baro-Abuja railway line.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, signed the agreement on behalf of the Federal Government while Chen Xiao Xing, Vice President of CRCC, signed for the company in Abuja.

Amaechi said that the central railway line was the backbone of rail transportation in Nigeria, adding that the agreement was for its completion and extension to Warri town, port and refinery.

He said the rail would extend northward from Eganyi-Jakura-Baro to Abuja.

The minister said the agreement included the construction and expansion of Warri Port, Deep Sea Port as well as the Industrial Park at Bonny Island.

“The central line is one of the most important rail lines that we have in Nigeria and I will be glad if we can partner with your corporation; we will commence negotiation once we get the approval from the president. It is part of the economic corridor in Nigeria where we have solid minerals, we have been working on that line for a long time and we will like to complete it,” Amaechi said.

Earlier, Xing said that it was a privilege to sign the agreement on the rail project.

He said that for Nigeria’s economy to grow, it must reduce importation and focus on industrialization which would lead to economic and social development.

“It is a privilege to be here again with the Minister of Transportation to sign MoU of this Ajaokuta – Abuja rail line, extending from Aladja to Warri Port, which was built 30 years ago but was not operational.

For Nigeria’s economy to take-off, it must reduce importation because industrialisation is very important for economic and social development.

If this project is completed in three years, other industries will develop,” said the CRCC boss.

He described Nigeria and China as strategic partners.

Despite what some have termed the looming doom hovering over the nation's horizon as a result of the crash in oil price, Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Thursday assured of Nigeria's readiness to weather the storm, should the price slide further at the international market.

Brent crude oil futures fell below $74 per barrel on Thursday after the group decided not to cut production, despite global oversupply.

Meanwhile, according to Reuters.com, Brent crude dropped to $73.80 a barrel, its lowest since August 2010, before paring losses to last trade down $3.71 on the day at $74.01.

Fashola was interviewed on BBC HardTalk and it was surprising to see people here castigating him and calling him empty. I found myself liking their nonsense comments, thinking they were saying the truth about fashola being empty. My opinion however changed when I personally watched the video.

In the video, I saw a man who knew what he was saying, a man whom was comported and never stammered or stuttered for once, a man displaying intelligence and brilliance as they come.

I looked for any sign of emptiness in what fashola was saying and i couldn't find any. I started wondering if those making those senseless and unreasonable comments actually watched the video.

While it is good to be in the opposition, it is also good for us to use our brains properly and choose our fights, arguments and counter-opinions carefully, so that we wouldn't sound like foooools.

Granted that fahsola made some statements I do not like, there is still no sign of losing his cool all through the interview.

These wailers supporting one politician/political party against another, what will you do if you find the two political enemies together in the same political party tomorrow?

This is the link to the video. Nigerians should kindly watch it and show me anywhere fashola was caught off-guard or couldn't defend himself or looked empty.

Fashola stole money in Lagos like it was going out of fashion. Amaechi, Uduaghan and Alams of blessed memory also milked Nigeria dry.

Look what the governors and military administrators in the North have caused over time. Lets thank God they havent killed us yet but they are taking us to the precipe.
