Endsars protest was hijacked by criminals. Even in the North, they had anti endsars protest and burnt igbo car dealers shop in Abuja. Nobody ever call those religious killing.

Religious killing is done in the name of religion or hate for other religion

Eg, Deborah was killed for religious reasons and her killers were chanting allahu akbar. Many Imam supported her killing

Also the RCCG woman that was killed for preaching in Kaduna is another Example of religious killing.

Christians don't kill bc of religion

Your Islam needs reform. This is 21st century and Islam barbarism is unwelcomed at this age
Should u go through the religious killings perpetrated in the East on the links provided u wouldn't have exonerated the burning, and killings of Muslims in Nsukka mosque attacks which has been happening since 1st tenure of OBJ. Why always only Muslims and why mosques attacks?

Your selfishness, make u quickly forget the religious killing of Maj. Gen. Alkali and hundred Muslim travellers which was kept secret by the Christian communities. The killing of 18 Muslims returning from Maulud in last year is also still fresh in our minds.
Hypocrites always know how to doge their sinisters by blaming others.

Of course, in 21st century still people of ur faith are at still invading other Nations in the name of modern crusade.
PoliticsFLASHBACK: What Obasanjo’s 9-man Secret Panel Did Before Yar’adua’s Emergence by ArewaNorth(op): 10:07am On May 21, 2022
Few days to the presidential primary election of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the political atmosphere is charged as about 30 aspirants have indicated interest in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari come May 29, 2023.

Daily Trust Saturday reports that President Buhari is the second president to conclude his second term since the country’s return to democracy in 1999. The first was former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007. Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was voted out in 2015 while seeking a second term.

In the cabinet of President Buhari, eight persons, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, have indicated interest in the presidential ticket of the ruling party. The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, had also shown interest in stepping into the shoes of the president.

Before the quit notice given to the aspirants by the president, their aspirations had negatively affected governance as they used state resources for their campaigns.

A valedictory session was organised for the ministers. The ministers who had indicated interest to contest elections included Rotimi Amaechi, Transportation; Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio; Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu; Petroleum Resources (state), Timipre Sylva; Education (state), Emeka Nwajiuba; Mines and Steel Development, Uche Ogah; Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen and Niger Delta Affairs (State), Chief Tayo Alasoadura.

However, the Labour and Employment minister, Chris Ngige, Attorney-General of the Fedeartion, Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva; including the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele had made a u-turn.

Aside from the ministers, some APC governors have also picked the party’s forms for the presidency.

The party had fixed May 30 and 31 this year for its presidential primary election, where its flag-bearer would emerge. A total of 7,800 delegates across the country would determine the APC candidate.

Party chiefs, statesmen, analysts and other stakeholders in the country are expressing reservations about the way governance is suffering as activities, leading to the party’s primary taking the front burner.

To salvage the situation, calls are being made to the president to constitute a ‘committee of wise men’ to assist him. Key stakeholders spoken to, including those in the government, said the president should up his game. According to them, relying on few people around him will not yield the desired result.

Yar’adua: Unveiled, Obasanjo’s secret panel

After his controversial third term agenda failed, former President Olusegun Obasanjo constituted a 9-man committee to work with him on the selection of his successor.

Multiple sources told our reporter that the committee comprised of four persons from the then ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and four governors who are members of the party.

The committee chaired by Obasanjo had Ahmadu Ali, Tony Anenih, Ojo Maduekwe and Bode George as members selected from the party. From the governors’ side, it was gathered that James Ibori (Delta), Olusegun Agagu (Ondo), Danjuma Goje (Gombe) and Bukola Saraki (Kwara) were members. It was gathered that Obasanjo picked four of them because they had no presidential ambition at that time.

Daily Trust Saturday reports that some of the then serving governors had indicated interest in the presidency. They included Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa), Ahmed Makarfi (Kaduna), Peter Odili (Rivers) and Donald Duke (Cross River), among others.

A member of the committee said they met severally with Obasanjo in the Villa before he picked the late Yar’adua as his successor.

“Our committee was constituted in 2006 and only members knew of the existence of the committee because we related with the president directly,” he said.

The former governor said that after several meetings, Obasanjo summoned all the PDP governors to a meeting in the Villa.

“During the meeting, he announced that an election would be conducted for all the presidential aspirants of the party, and that whoever won would fly the PDP ticket in the general elections.

“Members of the committee served as an electoral body. After the mock election, the president said we should leave the venue and that the result be counted elsewhere. Before we get to where the ballot would be counted, we got a call that it should not be counted,” he said.

He said that days later, the president summoned them and told them at the Villa that his preferred candidate was Yar’adua.

“After telling us, he said we should go to a guest house belonging to Dangote, that he had sent an aircraft to pick Yar’adua in Katsina.

“After a few hours, Yar’adua came to us at the guest house, and on his arrival, we stood up and addressed him as Mr President. As directed, after a few discussions, we went straight to the Villa, where Obasanjo disclosed his plan to him,” he said.

Another source close to the former president said that before making his choice public, Obasanjo engaged two governors to ‘market’ Yar’adua to their colleagues.

He said the duo of Saraki and Ibori ensured that their other colleagues keyed into the project.

“They moved from one governor to another selling the Yar’adua project. Since some of the governors had indicated interest in the presidency, they were pressured to drop their ambitions to support the then Katsina State governor.

“While Obasanjo was doing this on one side, the two chief marketers of the Yar’adua project were doing the underground work. It was after securing the buy-in of the PDP governors that they went into primary and the general elections,” he said.

Recall that Yar’adua won the 2007 presidential election, which was characterised by massive rigging. The late president attested to this fact during his inauguration. Before the party’s primary, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) beamed its searchlight on some of the aspirants.

In 2009, Yar’adua left for Saudi Arabia to receive treatment for pericarditis and returned to Nigeria on February 24, 2010. He died on May 5 of the same year.

Imposing a candidate won’t be in party’s interest – Prof Odion, Dr Bewaji

A political scientist, Professor Sylvester Odion, in a chat with Daily Trust, said every party member had the liberty to contest for the presidency of the country, and as such, the president should allow the delegates to choose, even if he had a candidate in mind.

“We know that within the dynamics of the politics, there are those who are clowns. There are those who are there just to make their presence felt. There are those who are actually contesting to vie for power. You can see that as a result of an ordinary presidential directive, many of them have already reversed their gear. So it tells you that many are called but only few are chosen. At the end of the day, the party delegates would decide who the candidate would be.

“The over 30 candidates or thereabouts indicate a contest of those who are serious. It is a contest of those who are clownish and those who just want to seek relevance,” he said.

On what the president should do, he said, “I think the president has said he has a preferred candidate. He said if he was to mention the person, they would assassinate him.

“That tells you that the president is not neutral. He definitely would be interested in who succeeds him, but again, notwithstanding his preference and his influence within the party, at the end of the day, the party’s delegates would still decide who would be the candidate.

“But if his influence becomes overbearing he might end up splitting the party because some of the most serious contenders have the means to the split the party and go in any direction they wish.”

Dr Wunmi Bewaji, an activist and former House of Representatives member, said the best way for the president was to allow a free, fair and transparent process in choosing who he prefers to succeed him.

According to him, what former President Obasanjo did during the latter days of his tenure was the beginning of the end of the PDP.

“The best way to go about it is to allow the party to decide. It will not be in the interest of the president to impose a candidate.

“What Obasanjo did at that time was the beginning of the demise of the party. So let the candidate emerge, either through a direct or indirect primary,” he said.

He noted that if such an exercise is free, fair and transparent, anybody that loses out will know that it would be morally wrong for him to protest.

Tajudeen Alabede, the national coordinator of the Network for Democracy and Development (NDD), said the all-comers’ situation in the APC was a further reflection of Nigeria’s poor political leadership recruitment process.

He believes that the “allure of power, not service, drives many of the aspirants. Some may also use the aspiration as leverage to negotiate for future political opportunities.”

He, however, said the “best option for the president and the leadership of the party at this point is to allow a transparent primary at which the candidate would emerge from the field of the finalists. One can only hope and pray that those who are well prepared and possess the right agenda for development would make it to the convention ground.”

https://dailytrust.com/flashback-what-obasanjos-9-man-secret-panel-did-before-yaraduas-emergence

However, unlike those days, the new INEC guidelines clearly stated that in the event of consensus the signature of all candidates indicating their consent for choosing a consensus candidate should be presented which will be very difficult for political parties considering the time frame for submission of candidates' names. Primary election always present the best and most favourite candidates for parties!

2023 presidency: South West may reach consensus soon – Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress, APC, in South West would soon arrive at a consensus candidate for the forthcoming primary election.

Osinbajo, who is also battling for the APC presidential ticket, spoke during an interactive section with the party’s delegates in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Friday.

Former Lagos State Governor and national leader of the party, Bola Tinunu and the Vice President are the major aspirants contending for the sole APC ticket from the region.

Asked how the region could curb the looming division being birthed by the presidential ambition of some stakeholders in the South West, Osinbajo said consultations are ongoing to arrive at a consensus candidate.

He said, “I believe strongly in the wisdom of Yoruba elders and leaders, and consultations are always ongoing.

“I believe that very soon we will resolve whatever differences exist and we will reach an agreement on the way forward.”

President Buhari made sure that the security apparatus of Nigeria was dominated by his fellow Fulani muslim folks.
The best and most capable were relegated for the mediocre, Christians were mostly sidelined, and the whole of SE was eliminated from the security council by this hate mongering-single issue administration. Fulanization of Nigeria is their only agenda.
Fighters for One Nigeria said it really doesn't matter at that time, but now, let me ask you how are things working out for you?
You people are very dogmatic with no conscience. Why have u chosen to be a robot and accept any lie they feed to ur dogmatic head?

2. NIA DG-Ahmad Rufai is a Fulani
3. NSA-Munguno is Kanuri

Honestly, u need to wake up beyond this delusions and know that since the return of Democracy in 1999 Buhari is the only Fulani President and there should be no justification for this propaganda when u can't distinguish between people of Northern extraction in accordance with their tribe.
If u want to know more about Nigeria's leadership biases and lopsided appointments then u should go back and start from 1999-2022 and u will be shocked how ethno-religious biases have been played in every administration, this is in our DNA.

When you misplace your priorities
Honestly, there is serious disinformation in Nigeria which is very bad.
Zamfara, Sokoto and some Northern states have chosen to register NECO and NABTEB for their candidates and stopped registering for WAEC.
The reasons are, in almost all NW and some other Northern states education is free from primary to secondary school including SSCE fees for WAEC, NECO or NABTEB. WAEC is not a National Exam and won't entertain post exam payment of students fee while NABTEB and NECO are National Exams and some lazy Governors decided to patronise them so that they can pay the students' examination fee anytime when they're ready that is why sometimes u will see in news that some Northern states owe those Exam bodies some money. See link: https://guardian.ng/news/northern-states-owe-neco-n2-8bn-in-unpaid-examination-fees-says-registrar/
Despite all this, some students who are interested in WAEC you send to pay with their money and write WAEC!
PoliticsRe: Soludo: A Liar, Looming Failure, Hypocrite Or All In One - Uloka by ArewaNorth: 6:52am On May 20, 2022
Newsline09:
Soludo is a hypocrite and such man doesn’t worth my Respect.

He has continued to depict himself as ungrateful and someone looking for excuses for his shortcomings.

Few weeks alone before it Governor Soludo would clock 100 days in office, and yet, there’s nothing to show for it anywhere in Anambra State. Not even intangibles.

In fact, Anambra had become worse than he met it. Insecurity taking center stage with kidnapping and killing of high profile persons in the State.

He has since confined himself to rhetorics than what he promised electorates.

His Dubai-Taiwan seems to have become a mere imagination.

This was a man who told Ndị Anambra in 2017 that it wasn’t Broken, perhaps, If not Broken, Why mend it?

He followed and would kowtow before Willie Obiano like a domestic servant in the last 3 years of Obiano Administration, singing the praise of the former Governor.

All of a sudden, this same man now attacks and vilify his Predecessor at every slightest chance just to seek excuse for his looming failure and buy himself more time.

Four (4) days after his inauguration, Soludo had gone public to inform the world that Anambra treasury is nothing to write home about, he dominated the headline for which I’m sure satisfied his ego. We had expected him to start implementing those little things in his manifesto, but didn’t see anything.

Since March 17th till date, Soludo is still everywhere singing like moaning bird about the treasury of Anambra State, even when the State has earned Billions.

Soludo has on different fora confirmed the debt and liability he inherited, same man who once said it wasn’t Broken and sustained same narrative till he became the Successor just forth-nights ago.

Can someone sincerely ask Soludo what has changed?

In sane environment, such a person with integrity defect won’t be allowed close to power, he would be worse than those he had criminalized.

It’s safe to allude that Professor Charles Soludo CFR has perfected plans to blame his predecessor for his impending woes and failure.

Soludo has made it a point of duty to attack the person of Chief Willie Obiano in very little chance and decorate himself with the hero tag, when in truth, he is the terr0r and criminal.

Willie Obiano may not be a saint, but he increased the IGR of the State from paltry eight (cool Billion Naira to Twenty Eight (28) Billion Naira monthly and sustained same before he left office.

He wasn’t a saint of any kind, but he sustained the fight against insecurity till his last one year in office and at some point made Anambra the safest in Nigeria.

He built state of the art Airport and International Conference Centre which Soludo intends to convert to ICT centre.

Willie Obiano developed Anambra Communities simultaneously that the State became an envy of other Governors.

Anambra as a densely populated State and next after only Lagos State had very low unemployment rate and third in Ease of doing business across the Federation.

All that didn’t happen with rhetorics but good financial activities.

I agree that HE, Willie Obiano may not have done so well in the management of Anambra treasury, but not enough for his Successor of less than 100 days to vilify him despite all he achieved for the State.

Soludo should begin his own story and leave the history of Willie Obiano. His attempt to drag and tag Obiano along to his impending doom will be repelled.

Willie Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano deserves commendation from Governor Charles Soludo and not his poetic attacks and stereotypes.

Government is a continuum, Soludo signed for whatever he met in office the very day he accepted the Nomination to Succeed Obiano, he should work on his own records and allow Obiano a peaceful retirement or take him to the appropriate authority for trials rather than the media rhetorics.

Someone should inform Soludo that the time now needs him to act and not glue his lips to Willie Obiano.

Immediately after assuming office, these same people advised Buhari to remove both fuel and electricity subsidies and increase VAT, that was how VAT was increased from 4.5% to 7.5%.
We need people who understand the local economy of Nigeria not those who live in Abuja or outside the country planning the economy that won't fit our culture and tradition.
Those who think Professors and paper economists can change our fortune should look at how they run our universities, CBN and other Govt institutions full of scholars who are only good in looting.
If Kwankwaso could build the kind of infrastructure he built in Kano at the peak of Boko Haram insurgency, 2011-2015 and how Zulum is working amidst terrorists then nobody can be excused from poor performance in Nigeria. Though, I pity Soludo because of the hype and too much expectations his people have for him inspite of heavy debt on the state!
PoliticsWike, Fayemi, Tambuwal, 6 Other Governors Spend Millions On Private Jets by ArewaNorth(op): 6:27am On May 20, 2022
Nine serving governors have so far squandered millions of naira to charter private jets to move around the country to advance their presidential ambitions, Daily Trust analysis revealed.

Ahead of the presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presidential aspirants including the nine serving governors have been travelling across the 36 states and FCT to woo delegates.

Daily Trust reports that there are 38 presidential aspirants in both APC and PDP including the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, among others.

While all the aspirants have been travelling across the country in chartered aircraft, the spending of the nine serving governors has attracted public attention and scrutiny.

The governors, who are aspiring for the presidency, include Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Sokoto), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Emmanuel Udom (Akwa Ibom), Ben Ayade (Cross River), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa) and Yahaya Bello (Kogi).

Of the nine governors, only Bala Mohammed is serving his first term, the rest are completing their second term in office.
Reports revealed that government activities are being relegated to the background in some of the states as the governors are preoccupied in their presidential campaigns with allegations that they are using state resources.

Cost of hiring jets

At the moment, a private jet charter costs between $7,000 (over N4m at 580/$) to $10,000 (N5.8m) per hour depending on the size of the plane.

An operator says it could be higher when one requests for a bigger luxury jet, which could carry up to 11 passengers like Challenger or Beechcraft Hawker with up to 13 passenger capacity.

In addition, a charter Embraer ERJ 145 for instance, with a 50-passenger capacity, could even cost more depending on the number of waiting hours at the destination airport.

Also, it was gathered that in line with the industry requirement, the private jet operators charge 3,000 dollars per hour, depending on the airline after landing at the airport.

“If it is a two-leg trip – to and fro, you will pay 3,000 dollars per hour as landing and parking charges. It would start reading after the first three hours. The charges vary from airlines,” an aviation expert said.

Boom in the industry

A private jet operator who spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity said that there is a boost in demand for private jets.
Ibrahim Aliyu, a security expert said most of the governors could not travel by road to any of the states in the country because of insecurity hence their resort to traveling by air.
“It will be suicidal for the politically-exposed persons to embark on journeys by road and so, they rather use the privileges at their disposal and criss-cross Nigeria by air.
“As you can see, some of the aspirants handling non-executive positions had to drop their ambitions when President Buhari asked them to resign. The reason is simple- they would no longer have access to unlimited resources to foot the bills of rigorous campaigns,” he said.

Daily Trust learnt that there has been a marginal increase in the cost of aircraft charter following inflation and the high cost of operation, hence additional spending by those who prefer air travel. One of the factors that have driven the increase in the cost of charters is aviation fuel, which has virtually quadrupled.
Despite this, that segment of the aviation business continues to boom even as more airlines join the business recently.
It would be recalled that a start-up airline, Xejet Aviation, recently commenced operation to provide only business class passengers.
Aviation analyst, Group Capt. John Ojikutu in a chat with our correspondent said though private charter services are unscheduled flights, they contribute to the aeronautical revenue of the airport authorities.
“Theirs are unscheduled flights but they pay charges on navigational and air traffic services, landing and parking for day and night at different charges and handling charges. All these are additional revenue earnings for the various aviation services.
“Yes, their flights can increase the unscheduled air traffic movements by about 50 per cent or more and therefore the revenues of the service providers,” he said.

Wike, Tambuwal compete for trips
Analysis of reported trips of the governors as at yesterday showed that Governor Wike has visited 20 states including Kaduna, Edo, Kogi, Lagos, Katsina, Kano, Ekiti, Ondo and Cross River all by air using private jets.
It is however not clear whether he is chattering the planes or using those belonging to Rivers State.

“There is no difference between using a chartered aircraft or the one belonging to the state,” said Sadiq Sabo, a political pundit.

“The point is that it is wrong to use state resources in terms of equipment or otherwise to facilitate personal endeavours,” he said. The Rivers State governor who is eyeing the presidential ticket of the PDP has also visited Ebonyi, Adamawa, Plateau, Anambra, Niger, Imo, Ogun, Oyo, Bayelsa, Benue and Kebbi states using private jets.

Like his Rivers State counterpart, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has visited 20 states.

Tambuwal, who is also eyeing the PDP presidential ticket has been to Taraba, Borno, Yobe, Kogi, Niger, Gombe, Kaduna and Zamfara States.

The Sokoto governor has also flown to Plateau, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, Nasarawa, Kebbi, Kogi, FCT, Ogun and Osun States.

Fayemi’s 16 trips gulp millions

On his part, the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, has visited 16 states in the course of his presidential campaigns. Fayemi, who chairs the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), wants to pick the presidential ticket of the APC.
The states visited by Fayemi are; Bauchi, Borno, Yobe, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, Kano, Nasarawa, Benue, Kebbi, Sokoto, Rivers, Anambra, Ogun, Osun and Ondo.

Bala Mohammed’s visit to 12 states

Coming next to Fayemi, is the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed. Unlike Fayemi, Mohammed is eyeing the ticket of the PDP. Despite the fact that he is a first term governor, he is deeply engrossed in his presidential ambition.
States visited by the Bauchi governor, who is said to have also picked the governorship forms of the PDP include; FCT, Anambra, Enugu, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Oyo, Kaduna, Niger, Jigawa, Taraba and Katsina.

Udom was in six states

So far, the Akwa Ibom Governor, Emmanuel Udom, has visited six states including Plateau, Katsina, Edo, Oyo, Cross River and Gombe. He is one of the 15 contenders cleared for the PDP presidential primaries.

No media tally on Ayade, Badaru, Bello, Umahi’s trips
Daily Trust could not establish the number of trips embarked upon by the Cross River, Jigawa, Kogi and Ebonyi States governors.

Kura resigned from Ganduje’s cabinet after his Chief of Staff, Ali Haruna Makoda, quit the cabinet and defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) led by former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso

The statement reads, “One of the commissioners nominated for appointment by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau into the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in the lucrative ministry of finance and economic development, Shehu Na’Allah Kura has resigned and joined his boss.”

According to Malam Muhammad Garba, Kura was appointed as commissioner into the key ministry at the request of Shekarau after the 2019 election.

The commissioner added that until the recent defection of his boss, Kura was a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and had previously served as commissioner of planning and budget.

In an interview he granted shortly after joining NNPP, Shekarau had narrated how he nominated Kura to serve under Ganduje.

“Ganduje approached me in his first tenure and asked me to nominate one person to be appointed commissioner. Shehu Na’allah Kura was one of the loyal and hardworking party members. So I gave his name,” he had said.

“The governor approached me again during his second term that he was granting our group two positions of commissionership, but he has selected one for us, we are to select another. And he said, he had selected Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso and we said this is fraudulent.

“In the first place, we were not disowning Kwankwaso but the fact is that he had been in APC and as a commissioner over a year ahead of our defection to APC and as such, while we agree he’s one of us, but if we were to select, he couldn’t have been the one by any standard. I therefore said since you are technically giving us only one position, you already had Shehu Na’allah Kura. If you want to continue with him, we have no objection and he agreed and hence Kura was reappointed for the second term.”

Kura is yet to publicly announce his defection from the APC to NNPP.

WHAT NOW HAPPENS TO THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
NNPP won't play any significant role in Nigeria beside Kano and they'll give PDP serious threat than APC because, PDP will capitalise more on Northern votes and Kano have bloc votes to offer. Should Kwankwaso stay in PDP definitely Kanawa will vote PDP massively but his defection to NNPP and neutralising that massive votes for PDP is a big win for APC.
Most Northerners are already despaired about effective change after losing hope on Buhari's performance and there will be low turnout than 2019 election in the North.
Despite all the media noise, APC will field Southern candidate and PDP will likely field a Northerner and Southern Nigeria may decide who becomes President 2023 but it depend on Southern Unity initiated by Rotimi Akeredolu cool

Lots of predictions made will likely change after the outcome of parties primary election!

PoliticsFresh Crisis In Kano APC As Ganduje’s Anointed Dep Gov Candidate Mulls Defection by ArewaNorth(op): 10:56am On May 19, 2022
Another crisis is currently brewing in the Kano chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) as the endorsed deputy governorship candidate, Murtala Sule Garo, is reportedly mulling defection.

Another crisis is currently brewing in the Kano chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) as the endorsed deputy governorship candidate, Murtala Sule Garo, is reportedly mulling defection.

Garo, the immediate past Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, was endorsed by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and paired with current deputy governor, Nasir Gawuna (as governor) to fly the flag of the party in the 2023 gubernatorial election.

However, following a peace parley between Ganduje and Senator Barau Jibrin, a political arch-enemy of Garo from Kano North senatorial zone, Garo was said to have felt slighted.

Ganduje agreed to step down for Barau for Kano North senatorial ticket after the Senator abandoned his gubernatorial ambition.

Sources said Garo felt Barau, aside being his political enemy, played major roles as one of the leaders of the factional G-7 that has been trying to wrest the control of the party away from their camp and should not have been welcomed back to the fold after the Supreme Court judgment firmly placed the party in the hands of the governor.

It was gathered that the governor and Barau visited Garo at his residence in the midnight of Wednesday to settle the grievances and make him rescind his plan to dump the ticket and the party.

But sources close to the former commissioner said even after the meeting, Garo remained unsure with the arrangement and refused to give a definite answer as to the request.

“He is planning to meet with his associates and make concrete decision, but he is still very sad about the development (Barau back in the fold) but he has not defected or abandoned the ticket,” one source, who asked not to be named, said.

Garo is also said to be worried over the chain of defection hitting the ruling party in Kano, which many believe may affect the party’s fortunes in 2023.

It was further gathered that Garo may be considering joining the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), which has been gathering momentum in Kano and has attracted many aggrieved APC bigwigs, including Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.

The national leader of NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is an in-law to Garo and was instrumental in establishing him as a formidable politician in the state.

Kwankwaso brought him into the mainstream Kano politics as the Organising Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2007.

2. Brigadier Gen. Ibrahim, Nasarawa-North-Central
3. Brigadier Gen. Muhammad, Yobe-North-East

Politics2023: Tinubu, Osinbajo Have No Conscience, Igbo Gods Angry With Them - Kalu by ArewaNorth(op): 12:08am On May 17, 2022
2023 presidency: Tinubu, Osinbajo have no conscience, Igbo gods angry with them – Orji Kalu

Senator Orji Uzo Kalu has lambasted the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and other presidential aspirants from the South West and South South, describing them as greedy politicians without conscience.

Kalu claimed that the gods of Igboland are asking questions, demanding an answer as to why these politicians are allegedly greedy and have no conscience.

The former Abia State Governor said this in an interview with Channels Television on Monday evening.

According to Kalu, had these politicians not been greedy, they would not have entered the race for the presidency come 2023 knowing that with fairness and equity in display, it is the turn of the South East.

“Bola Tinubu was my colleague as governor, if they have conscience, they will not run for president. But they have no conscience.

“Obasanjo was president for eight years, Osinbajo was vice president for eight years and South Easterners have never been president for one year.

“How would you sleep if you were in my position? The gods are asking questions in Igbo land, ‘where are these people?’ The gods of the Igboland, they’re asking ‘why would these people come again?’

“And the answer is that they are greedy. They should stop being greedy. And that’s what is killing Nigeria.

“If you work you allow your brother to work; if you rule you allow your brother to rule. I’m being sincere….

“All of them in that list are my friends. My children lived with Tinubu’s wife … so it’s not a new thing to me. I just want people to have conscience before all of us die because we’ll die one day. So they should have conscience.”

PoliticsOrji Kalu: Kwankwaso Will Emerge President Easily If APC Zones Ticket To South by ArewaNorth(op): 11:53pm On May 16, 2022
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has said Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will have an easy ride to Aso Rock if the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) zones its ticket to the South

Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has been making waves since he joined the party last month.

Speaking when he appeared on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Monday, Kalu said, “Let me tell you that whether in APC or PDP, the problem we have now is Kwankwaso. Our problem is not APC or PDP. Because Kwankwaso is already a presidential candidate we are in problem.

“We are forcing every party – that is what I saw – to pull out. Because of Kwankwaso if you give me the ticket from the South East, I will lose and it would not be good for us.

“Kwankwaso left PDP and went to NNPP and if PDP or APC zone its presidential ticket to a candidate in the southern Nigeria, then Kwankwaso is a president in waiting. I can assure you that knowing the mentality on the ground, unless we are telling ourselves lies.

“I cannot lie to myself; I’m a student of realism. So Kwankwaso is the problem because if PDP goes to North and the APC goes to south it’s as well telling myself to pack my luggage and go. I’ll not have a job in the National Assembly or the federal government of Nigeria. That’s the truth. Whether you want to believe it or not, Kwankwaso has changed the dynamics.”

However, Senator Kalu said that the South South and the South West are not fair to Igbos who have not produced a president, saying “If you wall then you allow your brother to walk. If you rule you allow your brother to rule. 2023 elections will mould Igbos’ thinking.”

Islam is just like the Old testament
The pharisees are exactly like Muslims
They both believe An eye for an eye

The difference is that Jesus came in and reform all those old testament teachings.

But muslims didnt have a prophet like Jesus to reform islam.
So they are stuck with the old laws of the olden days.

They are like Pharisees that will stone adultry woman to death.
Remember Jesus saving that woman from lynching by pharisees.
Lynching that is still practiced today by Muslims

That is why muslims use book Leviticus to justify killing people for blasphemy.
Because leviticus is an old testament book

They cant find anything in New testament to justify killing for blasphemy.

And Christians dont follow rules of old testament. They only follow Jesus Teachings

Muslims are still practicing rules that were designed in the olden ages for men of the olden days.

If not for Jesus and new testament teachings Christians today will still be practicing old abrahamic laws.
Such as stoning to death, not healing during sabath and other crazy laws that only worked during olden ages.

The whole world has reformed and updated their views and moved on.

Islam is still backwards, un-reformed and not updated.

Thank you
So the modern crusade of the civilised west on Africans and Asians is the reformed and updated Christianity u are talking about?

If u don't understand international politics right from European wars in 18th and 19th centuries, the fall of Othoman Empire, the aftermath of WW2 and the conspiracies of religion and economy set up then u are yet to know anything.
The world order has consumed Christianity already it is only Islam left battling to survive it.
PoliticsBREAKING: Police Service Commission Finally Promotes Magu by ArewaNorth(op): 8:02pm On May 16, 2022
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promoted Ibrahim Magu, former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Ikechukwu Ani, PSC spokesman, announced Magu’s elevation to the level of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) on Monday.

He said Magu was promoted alongside some senior officers at the 15th Plenary Meeting of the commission on Friday.

He added acting DIG John Ogbonnaya Amadi was appointed a substantive Deputy Inspector General of Police, while Zama Bala Senchi was also appointed a Deputy Inspector General of Police.

He said aside Magu, seven Commissioners of Police were promoted to Assistant Inspectors General of Police.

The Commission also approved the promotion of 23 Deputy Commissioners to the next rank of Commissioners of Police; 31 Assistant Commissioners to Deputy Commissioners of Police and 63 Chief Superintendents of Police promoted to Assistant Commissioners of Police.

“The Plenary Meeting which began on Wednesday, May 11th 2022 was presided over by Alhaji Musiliu Smith, Chairman of the Commission and former Inspector General of Police. DIG Amadi, currently acting, replaced late DIG Joseph Egbunike and will be representing the South East in the Force Management team while DIG Senchi was the most senior in the AIG cadre.”

“Other decisions taken by the Commission at the Plenary were the promotion of 57 Superintendents of Police earlier skipped when their mates were promoted to the next rank of Chief Superintendents. Other categories of Superintendents of Police such as the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, Course 4, Inspectors Course 37 and regular ASP’s course 25 and 26 were also promoted to Chief Superintendents having met established requirements.

“The Commission also promoted 1698 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendents of Police, 6119 Inspectors who attended the recent Departmental Selection Board (DSB) were promoted to ASP11 while 1965 ASP11 were confirmed ASPs. The eight Commissioners of Police promoted to AIGs were;

CP Mustafa Magu Ibrahim
Abraham Egong Ayim
Okunlola Kola Kamaldeen
Andrew Amieengheme
Akeera Mohammed Younous
Celestine Amechi Elumelu
Ngozi Vivian Onadeko
Danladi Bitrus Lalas
On July 7, 2020, when he was still at the helm of affairs in the EFCC, Magu was arrested, detained, and suspended as the acting chairman of the anti-graft agency — after he appeared before a panel probing allegations of gross misconduct against him.

The panel led by Justice Ayo Salami subsequently recommended Magu’s removal as EFCC boss “for failing to properly account for N431,000,000.00 security votes/information fund released to the office of the Executive Chairman of EFCC between November 2015 and May 2020”.

He was also accused of causing the “disappearance of evidence, stoppage and suppression of cases under investigation and prosecution, and omitting to arrest suspects” in cases involving a former deputy senate president and a former managing director of Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC).

Magu was further accused of suppressing high profile cases involving four former governors, one of whom is currently a senator.

However, since the panel submitted the report in November 2020, only a few recommendations have been implemented.

Magu has repeatedly denied the allegations against him through presentations made before the panel by Wahab Shittu, his lawyer.

The former EFCC boss also maintained that he never enriched himself while serving as head of the anti-graft agency, adding that the allegations against him are “unfortunate, spiteful, malicious and intended to cruelly destroy my hard-earned reputation”.

Meanwhile, the federal government is yet to make public the White Paper on the report of the Salami panel.
