SportsFIFA U-20 Women World Cup: Korea Republic 1- Nigeria 2 by argon500(op): 11:06pm On Aug 09, 2014
Nigeria Super Falconets defeated Korea Republic by 2 goals to 1.

Nigeria have taken control of Group C at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Canada 2014 by defeating Korea Republic 2-1 in Moncton. Courtney Dike scored the fastest goal in the history of FIFA women's tournaments after she took advantage of Korea Republic's lacklustre defending.

Dike, who was starting her first match of the tournament after coming on as substitute in the opener against Mexico, set the tone for the Super Falconets, who were eager to jump to the top of Group C after England and Mexico had shared the spoils earlier in the day in a 1-1 draw.

Nigeria continued to threaten Korea Republic's goal when Osarenoma Igbinovia had a shot from distance tipped over the bar by Min Yukyeong. Nigeria had another opportunity in 17th minute when Asisat Oshoala's cross found Loveth Ayila, who was unmarked in the penalty area. However, her shot hit a defender and spun just wide.

Korea Republic had their first chance of the first half in the 24th minute when Kim Soyi's attempted chip over Nigeria goalkeeper Sandra Chiichii went over the bar. Soyi and her team would regret that missed opportunity as Nigeria took a two-goal lead ten minutes later through Chinwendu Ihezuo. Ugo Njoku's cross from the right wing found Ihezuo, who controlled the ball before firing a powerful shot past Minyeong.

Nigeria picked up from where they started by controlling the opening stages of the second half, although Korea Republic were able to ask questions of the Super Falconets' defense as the half progressed.

The best chance for the South Koreans came in the 59th minute when Kim Inji received the ball and shot from the left side of the penalty area only to watch her effort go inches wide of the near post. Inji would have see another effort suffer the same fate ten minutes later as the Nigerians continued to breathe a collective sigh of relief.

A nervy conclusion was guaranteed in the 71st minute when Nigeria failed to clear their lines effectively and Soyi capitalised by scoring from the edge of the penalty area to give the Koreans a lifeline. But while the Asian champions often threatened an equaliser, Nigeria's defense held on to claim the first win of the group in Moncton.

RomanceWhat Is The Difference Between Friendship And Relationship? by argon500(op): 2:54pm On Aug 06, 2014
I have heard lot of people started relationship as a friend ends up with love. So I would like to know the difference between these two. Is it acceptable being a friend for certain period and then become a lover afterwards?. Does it not amount to injuring friendship?. At the same time, one cannot love a person with out having friendship. Then, What would be the intention of the person who becomes a lover when he started his relationship as a good friend? Can I say that the person is cunning or wolf in sheep skin?. Because he hid his true motive. Whatever he did was to cheat the other person?. Explain please. I am confused.

RomanceWhat Do You Like Most About Your Partner? by argon500(op): 11:42am On Aug 03, 2014
To all of us who has a partner, either as your bf or gf, lover or married partner, what is the one thing (or even two or three..) that you like about your partner?

I don't mean abstract things like he is sweet or she is kind, but a bit more than that with examples.

For me, one of the things I like about my partner is her adaptability. Many of us try to make our environment fit to us rather than the opposite. But she, coming from a different culture, fits herself well in a different environment and I think its because of her personality.

How about you?
Christianity EtcWhat Does It Really Mean Going To Worshiping Place by argon500(op): 11:28am On Aug 03, 2014
"But Daddy, I just don't want to go to church! It's no fun. It's boring!" "Well, I've just lost interest. I don't get anything out of it. It doesn't do me any good to go anymore." Have you ever heard something like that from your children or other Christians? Have you ever felt this way? Do you feel this way right now? Is there a spiritual emptiness inside of you that you just can't fill. Is there something missing in your relationship with God? Do you feel like you're just "going through the motions" when you go to church? If you can see yourself right now in any of this, let me assure you that those feelings are not unique to you; they are experienced by most, if not all of us, from time to time.

Until we understand what worship is, the cure for the "worship weariness" that sometimes invades our souls will forever elude us. Gesenius says that the predominant Hebrew word for "worship" (shachah) means: "to bow oneself down, Isa. 51:23....to sink down, to be depressed....to prostrate oneself before any one out of honour....Those who used this mode of salutation fell on their knees and touched the ground with the forehead...."
This connotes actions motivated by an attitude that reveres, honors, or describes the worth of another person or object"

Do you see the emphasis in all those definitions? It is not on the worshipper but on the One who is worshipped. Worship "is an exercise of the human spirit that is directed primarily to God; it is an enterprise undertaken not simply to satisfy our need or to make us feel better or to minister to our aesthetic taste or social well-being, but to express the worthiness of God Himself....To worship God is to ascribe to Him supreme worth, for He is uniquely worthy to be honored in this way.

The emphasis in true worship is on giving, not receiving. Those who complain that the singing is uninspiring; the sermons are dry, dull, and dusty; and the service is boring, etc. often do so, I'm convinced, because they have missed the fundamental essence of what worship is all about in the first place. I fear that the microwave mentality of our convenience-crazed society has crept into the souls of Christians to such an extent that we want a "fastfood faith" and a "remote-control religion". Now, I am certainly not defending sloppy singing, sorry sermons, or shabby services, but when it comes to this thing called worship, if we are thinking more about me, myself, and I than we are about God, we have gotten the cart before the horse, and things will never be what they ought to be until we change that.

When we come to truly understand what it really means to worship....God....with our spirits....in truth, above everything else God will be pleased, and that is the most important thing, but our lives will also be transformed. May God help us all to be the true worshippers who will worship in spirit and in truth.

RomanceHelpless Love by argon500(op): 12:31pm On Aug 01, 2014
Once upon a time all feelings and emotions went to a coastal island for a vacation. According to their nature, each was having a good time. Suddenly, a warning of an impending storm was announced and everyone was advised to evacuate the island.

The announcement caused sudden panic. All rushed to their boats. Even damaged boats were quickly repaired and commissioned for duty.

Yet, Love did not wish to flee quickly. There was so much to do. But as the clouds darkened, Love realised it was time to leave. Alas, there were no boats to spare. Love looked around with hope.

Just then Prosperity passed by in a luxurious boat. Love shouted, “Prosperity, could you please take me in your boat?”

“No,” replied Prosperity, “my boat is full of precious possessions, gold and silver. There is no place for you.”

A little later Vanity came by in a beautiful boat. Again Love shouted, “Could you help me, Vanity? I am stranded and need a lift. Please take me with you.”

Vanity responded haughtily, “No, I cannot take you with me. My boat will get soiled with your muddy feet.”

Sorrow passed by after some time. Again, Love asked for help. But it was to no avail. “No, I cannot take you with me. I am so sad. I want to be by myself.”

When Happiness passed by a few minutes later, Love again called for help. But Happiness was so happy that it did not look around, hardly concerned about anyone.

Love was growing restless and dejected. Just then somebody called out, “Come Love, I will take you with me.” Love did not know who was being so magnanimous, but jumped on to the boat, greatly relieved that she would reach a safe place.

On getting off the boat, Love met Knowledge. Puzzled, Love inquired, “Knowledge, do you know who so generously gave me a lift just when no one else wished to help?”

Knowledge smiled, “Oh, that was Time.”

“And why would Time stop to pick me and take me to safety?” Love wondered.

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and replied, “Because only Time knows your true greatness and what you are capable of. Only Love can bring peace and great happiness in this world.”

“The important message is that when we are prosperous, we overlook love. When we feel important, we forget love. Even in happiness and sorrow we forget love. Only with time do we realize the importance of love. Why wait that long? Why not make love a part of your life today?”
