Of course, it's an open secret that If Ndiigbo secede from Nigeria, whatever that will be remaining in Nigeria will be overwhelmingly Islamic in nature. And it's a known fact that through the emirate system, the Fulani controls the Nigerian Islamic world.

This is the fear of those who hate Igbos, yet dread Igbo secession.

LMAO!!! Hyundai has just given ndigbo weapons on nairaland without knowing it!!! Chai!!! God you're mighty! Propaganda has just been shattered!!! D'you know PH refinery stands at 210,000 BPD at maximum production, this proposed refinery is 250,000. I thought SE wants to steal ND oil. God is able!!!
More than able. It was God of Igboland that kept the wicked Yorubaman, Obj and his Hausa colleagues from carving out the Ukwa area away from old Imo state during their dubious boundary adjustment programme of Post civil era that was aimed at landlocking SE and depriving it of oil producing territories, a situation that saw the rest of Asa land and Ndokiland ceded to Rivers state to form Oyigbo LGA.

If the whole of Asa and Ndoki was ceded to Rivers state, the people would have been corrupted and their minds conditioned to hate the SE, we would have been hearing of Ndoki ethnic nationality and Asa ethnic nationality with stories of Bini migration stories made up, and their new ethnic group will be built with a strong core of Igbophobia, so much that it will be very difficult for those of us in SE to reach out to them without being branded land grabbers or oil thieves.

But by keeping the rest of Asa and Ndoki in Abia, God used them to keep those of them scattered in Oyigbo LGA of Rivers and Akwa ibom, close to the SE.

Chukwuebuka, indeed.
PoliticsRe: Ethnic Cleansing In The Name Of Fighting Corruption by Ariani: 7:28pm On Jun 14, 2016
14 Igbo general of SE origin, were retired under frivolous reasons by Buhari, whooping 14, for a group that is under represented in the Army.

The only good news is that I know the mind set of the average Igbo man that thinks he is well positioned in the Nigeria setting. Most of them are one Nigeria apologists, and would kill the Rest of us against Nigeria if need be to please their Nigerian overlords and to retain their positions.

So, in the long run, this might be a blessing in disguise. The more of Igbos with strong Nigerian interests emasculated, the better for the rest of us common Igbos.

I read the news of Innocent Bia***day Celebrants in Abia state that were caught and disgraced in Umuahia by the Nigerian police, most of policemen were Igbo in origin.
PoliticsRe: Hyundai To Build Refinery In Owaza, Abia State (Photos) by Ariani: 7:03pm On Jun 14, 2016
Owaza is in Asa clan of the great Igbo race, in Ukwa West LGA of Abia state. The area is peaceful, and far removed from the militancy of Ijoid areas of Rivers and chaos of cultism ravaging the Igboid areas of Rivers state, I believe that's part of the thing that attracted the company to the area, not to mention the fact that it's rich in hydrocarbon deposits.

Not removing Ukwa East and West Area from the old Imo state and lumping them into old Rivers state, was the greatest mistake of the Enemies of Ndiigbo as represented by Gowon,Obj and those that Balkanized Igboland right after the war.

Ndoki and Asa clans are the SE trump cards, with them we will achieve alot, those two clans remain of extreme strategic importance to the future of Ndiigbo and SE in particular.

Nice development. Ndi Asa, nma nma nuo!

CrimeRe: Enugu Police Raids Baby Factory, Arrests Nine Pregnant Girls by Ariani: 3:32pm On Jun 14, 2016
Three teenage pregnant girls were rescued from a ‘baby factory’ in Adigbe community of Abeokuta, Ogun State. A female operator of the factory was subsequently arrested by the police.

Items recovered from the Abeokuta house at Soas Estate included cowries, a calabash containing black soap, and various white garments.

According to Premium Times, the place was uncovered after one of the captives escaped from the house. Abia State born teenage girl subsequently went around seeking alms from neighbours to enable her return to her state. She also claimed that she had no idea where she was.

The concerned neighbours, after realising the trouble the young woman got into, have immediately alerted the police.

The police raided the house on the night of April 2, 2014, Wednesday, arrested a suspect, identified as Muyibat Yusuf. Two other captives have been rescued.

Meanwhile, on the next day an angry mob, made up of mostly students who live in the neighbourhood, set the house ablaze along with two cars parked within its compound (pictured).

However, some of them were later arrested for arson.

According to neighbours, the owner of the mansion lives abroad.

A resident of the area, Tunde George, told the reporters that neighbours had always been suspicious of the house, as its generating set was always on, even when there was electricity supply from the power company.

He alleged hat a busy area in front of the building was used for ritual activities by the occupants of the house.

To strengthen these words, the police revealed that some “fetish materials” were found at the scene of the crime (pictured

Reasons like everyone is sharing on this thread is the reason why I support putting federalism/regionalism on the back burner till we come out of this sinking recession. While a good thing, it is a huge distraction.

Imagine having a coming together of say 10 representatives from each state to discuss restructuring (regionalism or federalism), it will take light years before a peaceful common sense agreement can be reached.

BTW, I have a picture in my head where minimum wage is say in the N75,000 range in Lagos, Ondo, Rivers, or Akwa Ibom for example, and it is say in the N30,000 range in states like Nassarawa, Ebonyi, Kwara, Sokoto for example, that will surely spur massive migration.
Yea, and may be N500 in Osun and Ekiti, considering how Broke the two Yoruba states are.

ONICHA
The story agrees with the account of a migration from Benin Empire. In this account Ezechime is identified as a chief and veteran of the Benin-Igala wars of 1516. The account goes further and it says the Queen Mother, Idia had trampled on Ezechime’s farmland and Chime who had a quick temper assaulted the Oba’s mother. When the Oba got to hear what happened to his mother, Ezechime decided to leave Benin and left with his family and other sympathizers. In the course of their migration and establishment of temporal camps , they discovered a very fertile land called ANI-AMI. They then decided to settle near this said ANI-AMI. This was how they got to Obior. Onicha was the oldest son , Oligbo the baby of the house and Ukpali was the Ada and the first child. Onicha was a hunter and frequently hunted and was not at home. Thus when Chime died , Oligbo hurriedly performed the mortuary rites (instead of informing his elder brother) and laid claim as successor. When Onicha came to learn of what happened, Oligbo fled and sought protection from some Nri people who had settled at Ogboli. Onicha himself left Obior and settled near Onicha Ukwu town while farming on the same ANI-AMI farmlands. A war soon enveloped the entire area when Benin forces invaded and Onicha, then a very old man fled with his family to the farm (ANI-AMI). One of his sons named Ekwu did not join the family but rather decided to dig a trench around his father’s settlement in present Onicha-Ukwu. This is how the name Onicha-Ugbo came about. It simply means Onicha family that had fled to their farms at Ani-Ami. While Onicha-Ekwu became transformed into Onicha-Ukwu. Onicha Ugbo being senior to Onicha Ukwu has never being in doubt. The Onicha-Ukwu do not actually have an Obi but an Okpalabisi who acts an Obi. Obi in this case refers to a monarch who becomes king by primogeniture and not by being the most senior title holder. Aha! It's now you are talking. Your attempt to attach Edo to Yoruba is informed by war memories which have however been debunked here, and not based on ethnology or cultural considerations.
Sad to inform you that the Ijaws and Itsekiris in Edo can't join Delta because they are hedged into Edo by other Edoid tribes. If they could have been in Delta then they would have really been carved into it. Moreover the Delta you so badly want has Itsekiris who are more or less Yorubas and as well cracked down on Biafra too in revenge for Ifeajuna's murder of Okotie-Eboh their son.
Even on the war issue Edo/Deltans had to protect themselves from Igbos' unprovoked invasion of their land. Igbos killed us so you wouldn't expect us to fold our arms. Moreover Most SS states ditched Biafra and worked to thwart it like Edo did. So by that logic of yours all SS states are now lesser Yorubas. Bayels State is now lesser Yorubas because Isaac Boro joined the Nigerian Side to crush Biafra. Very interesting! Other SS states may wish to join Biafra but never Edo/Delta. Mark it!
What are you blabbing about, the coup originator, Nzeogwu was a mid westerner, an Anioma, Ifeajuna is an Onitsha man, but Onitsha also has Anioma ancestry.
Like Igboland was Balkanized after we lost the civil war, so was Anioma Balkanized after the lost the Ekumeku war against the British:https://www.nairaland.com/561937/ekumeku-movement-igbo-version-mau
Your Okotie story is a made up story. Isaac Boro might have being on the FG side, but there were many other Ijaws on Biaf**** side like Frank Opigo.

Edo will never be part of Bia***, Mark it down, you belong with Yorubas. As for Delta, I reckon Anioma will end up with us, I don't know about the Edoids, they are independent.

On the war Issue, the Igbos the Edos killed in Bini city and all over Midwest were not Igbos of the East, they were Igbos of the Midwest, aka Anioma, aka SS people today, go figure!

It's not just about Edo role in the war, it's the fact that everything about Edo reeks of Yoruba.

SS is not even based on mutual intelliigibility of languages. So your arguement I'd flawed. There are Ijaws and Itsekiris in Both Edo and Delta states. So how do you separate some into SW and others into SS if it is by language? Of all the over 20 languages spoken in Edo State none is mutually intelligible with Yoruba or Igbo except may be Igbanke. The real reason why you Igbos insist Edo is not a SS state is that in your pursuit of unrealistic Biafra with the SS in it, you want the minorities to bring in five states just like you will be bringing in too so that the minorities will not lay claim to higher entitlements over Igbos unlike how it will be if they bring six states to the table. Simple. It already happened when an Igbo man headed the committee that looked into the proposed creation of Anioma state. The Igbo chairman of that committee argued that such would mean 7 states for the SS while the SE remains 5.
The only reason we don't want anything to do with Edo, is because we know that Edos are but lower class Yorubas, same Igbophobia and stuffs, we can do without that, we see Edo as a Yoruboid territory in the long term, and we don't want to have anything to do with Yoruba or yoruboid things.

The Ijaws in Edo can always join Delta, same way the Igbanke and other pockets of Ika speaking communities can join Delta, we don't really consider them
Edos.
Edo doesn't need to be mutually intelligible with Yoruba, Edo is Yoruba in all intents and purposes, just a lower class Yoruba. Enahoro and Awo were partners in crime in pushing the starvation policy on Bia***, and as we recently confirmed, Oba akenzue not only joined in stoking the flames of Igbophobia with his 1965 article on Ndiigbo, he also was a key contributor on why Gowon reneged on the Aburi agreement.https://www.nairaland.com/3143222/biafra-memo-oba-akenzua-aburi/1#46254556

Edo is simply not on our plans.

On the Anioma state creation ish, that lie had been debunked a million Times here. I am tired talking about them. Ikechukwu is an Anioma man, ask him kindly to educate you.

So Edoid is no longer related to Edo but Igboid is still more or less Igbo? Ha ha ha ha ..............! That is just one. So Urhobo which migrated clearly from Benin and therefore called Edoid is no longer related to Edo?
Secondly what do you know of some languages in Ogoja areas of Cross River sharing thousands of words with some tribes in the Northern parts of Edo State? The SS identity and composition was arrived at after very detailed research by ethnographers and ethnologers. You obviously have a long way to go.
Why keep that thread till when you have time? Was it not the same you that have been demanding for the thread? Now you no longer have the time because defeat is scaring you in the face. Try it and I'll silence you with fact you never ever knew of.
There is no edoid language in Cross Rivers. Languages share words, heck! Igbo language share similar words with the Luo language of Kenya, it's just a mere coincidence. No Cross river language group is edoid.

Yes! Uhrobo despite their Bini migration stories speak a distinct language that is 100 percent not mutually intelligible to the Bini man, but the Igbanke man speaks an Ika dialect that is very mutually intelligible to the SE man.

That's what I mean.

No, no language research was done before SS was carved up, SS was the idea of men like Ekwueme that sought to give the minorities down south a voice of their own.

And by the way, Edoid relationships does not make Edo SS state, afterall, we know that there are Igbo speaking people in Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo,Akwa ibom, possibly Cross Rivers, that doesn't make SE, SS. Especially when those groups languages are not in anyway intelligible to the Edo man, unlike those of the Igboids that is intelligible to the SE man.
