omonnakoda:How many Igbos and how many Yorubas applied for this Mandela Washington stuff, maybe that's where to start from. Never knew of this Mandela ish, until I saw it here. On the other hand, Jamb, WAEC,NECO, Etc that Igbos top, are all encompassing, everyone takes them. On the PRESSID, Yorubas topped the first edition because of several factors, the main being that you have to score first class to qualify for PRESSID, with so many private universities scattered all over Yoruba land, dishing out first class like Akara, the most being covenant university, I can guess that Yorubas had more candidates sitting for that PRESSID than everyone else. In that case, the best way to measure their performance would have been to take averages. Nevertheless, the Igbos quickly closed the gap in the last PRESSID and toppped Yorubas. With the current proliferation of private universities all over Igboland, who would no doubt share first class certs to gather more customers, I had no doubt that the Igbo would have gone on to continue topping the list on consistent basis, if the scheme continued. The bottom line is that both PRESSID and this Mandela stuff are not all encompassing, to make any sense of the data, we would need to know how many Igbos and how many Yorubas applied for them. |
omonnakoda:What exactly are you talking about? |
I suspect threads like this are generated by NL handlers to generate traffic. |
T9ksy:Still worshipping your Hausa-Fulani masters as always. An agreement is reached by give and take, once it's reached, it could only be totally implemented or not implemented, nothing like 90% or ten percent ish. Ojukwu never left Ndiigbo at the mercy of Nigerian annihilation, by the time Ojukwu was done, the Nigerian Army had suffered lots of casualties and the British public image had taken lots of bashing by her citizens and the world over, for her total support of Nigeria. You would have committed extermination of Igbo race if you had the powers to, but with the attention of the whole wide world on Biafra and the Britain eager to end hostilities to save her battered image, you were in no position to carry out your ultimate plans. So stop talking trash. You wanted Ojukwu for war booty, to use to spite generations of unborn Igbos, the Igbo denied you that, get over it, Ojukwu was buried a hero, not a villain like you wanted, deal with it and stop crying more than the beareved. Awo would have been strunged by the balls in Kiriikiri by IBB, if he didn't take the easy way out by poisoning himself with otapiapia to save himself from the ignominy of his failed treachery, I understand why this is a bitter tale for you, and why you wished Ojukwu such fate. Awo had lied to Yorubas that his first treason charge under Balewa was Igbo set up, even though the judge that sentenced him to prison was Yoruba, a second treason charge and Imprisonment by IBB would have be very hard to explain away, so the coward took the easy way out and ended his miserable life on earth. Deal with it and leave Igbos and Ojukwu alone. |
93xtr9r:The Edo Yoruba ass licker is back again for another round of flogging from Ndiigbo. |
aresa:Lol! Air pollution is not same as dirty. But we know that it's Yorubas that officially turned the Nigerian former capital to the third dirtiest city in the world. |
Shukuakukobambi:FFK can only masturbate over Bianca pics like all Yorubas do over Igbo queens pics, in the end, it's all in his head, a fantasy, everyone has one, it all become all too disturbing when you go out in public broadcasting it like FFK did, don't blame him though, Bianca is such a beauty that a Yoruba gene can never create or have access to, the easiest way to gain respect and acknowledgement in Yorubaland was to claim to have slept with Bianca. FFK became an instant hit amongst his Yoruba people, his achievement? Sleeping with Bianca in his dreams.Awo's treason had nothing to do with the war. He was a pawn that was used well by the Hausa-Fulani and then disposed like a dead rat. Twice he committed treason, an exvonvict scared of returning back to prison haven been found guilty of the same crime for a record second time, the coward took the easy way out, took Otapiapia. Awo burial pics is NL, gosh even all pics taken during the independence day of 1960 still have their online catalogue. Awo was betrayed by his Yoruba people, and the treacherous man took his own life. Spoils of war? well there are no Yoruba Oba or Gambari Emir in any part of Igboland, we can't say the same of Ilorin now, can we? ![]() Ekweremmadu the master planner foiled your drug Lord leader plan of foisting his own senator president, he floored your drug baron in political chess, so mmuch that this is the first time in Nigerian democracy that a person from the non ruling party is holding a post meant for the ruling party. Your disgraced drug baron leader is yet to forgive Saraki ![]() Ekweremmadu is a one Nigerian Apologist, Kanu is a secessionist that hope to pull down one Nigeria , I fail to see the link between him and Ekweremmadu. The only way Kanu gets released is if he denounced his plans of breaking Nigeria, in which case he need not Ekweremmadu help, as the Nigerians would release him to still pretend to be Ipobian, while he wrecked the group from inside. The kind of deal Uwazuruike took. |
Enugu made history, Wednesday, as the only Nigerian city among 35 cities from across the globe invited to join the 100 Resilient Cities Network (100RC) pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation, New York. The announcement was made during The Rockefeller Foundation’s Urban Resilience Summit in Singapore. The other three African cities that made the list alongside the Coal City of Enugu are Kigali (Rwanda), Accra (Ghana) and Arusha (Tanzania). The choice of Enugu was predicated on the transformation of the road network in the city under Sullivan Chime. This was in addition to numerous national and international recognitions that have been bestowed on Enugu state. The organizers of the network said that Enugu was chosen from nearly 350 applicants on the basis of its ability to “demonstrate a unique vision for resilience, a long-term commitment to cutting across levels of government and sectors of society, a special attention to the needs of the poor and vulnerable.” The Foundation stressed that Enugu like other Network cities will serve as a model for other global cities that seek to build their own resilience. This second wave of cities will join 32 cities that won last year’s 100 Resilient Cities Challenge, forming a growing network of urban centers around the world that are ready to respond to the social, economic and physical shocks and stresses that are a growing part of the 21st century. Other renowned cities of the world invited to join the list in the 2014 edition include Athens, Barcelona, London, Paris, Boston, Chicago, Amman, Sydney and Singapore. 100-Resilient Cites was created by an initial $100 million commitment by the Rockefeller Foundation as part of their Centennial last year, recognizing the trends of urbanization and globalization that characterize this century. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/12/enugu-makes-history-joins-worlds-100-resilient-cities/ |
The United Nations Development Programme has named South-East Nigeria as the most human security secure geopolitical zone in Nigeria. This is contained in the National Human Development Report for Nigeria, 2016. The report adds that Abuja, which is the Federal Capital Territory, is the safest city to live in Nigeria as it ranks low in the Human Security Index The UNDP defined Human Security as safety from chronic threats such as hunger, disease and repression as well as protection from sudden and harmful disruptions in patterns of daily life whether in homes, jobs or communities. The Economic Adviser, UNDP Nigeria, Mr. Ojijo Odhiambo, said at the launching of the report in Abuja on Friday that the North-East and the North-West remain the most affected areas in Nigeria The report adds, “The report further highlights the existing gap in human security across the geopolitical zones of the country; – the most human security secure geopolitical zone is the South-East while the North-West and the North-East geopolitical zones are the least human security secured, with residents of the Federal Capital Territory being the worst in most realms of the Human Security Index. “The North-East region of the country has been the most affected by the more than five-yearlong military insurgency. It also remains among the least developed parts of the country.” www.punchng.com/seast-safest-place-live-says-un/ |
Lagos is Ranked as the 3rd “Worst”/Least Liveable City in the World by the Economist Intelligence Unit – Do You Agree with the Ranking? 15.08.2012 at 12:38 pm By Adeola Adeyemo 79 Comments The Economist Intelligence Unit has ranked Lagos, Nigeria as the third worst liveable country in its recently released 2012 Global Liveability Survey. The liveability report which surveyed 140 cities around the world to assess the best or worst living conditions gave Lagos the 138th position. This was a drop from its 137th position in the 2011 ranking. Following closely after Lagos was Port Moresby which took the 139th position and Dhaka, Bangladesh as the 140th position making it the worst liveable city in the world. Ranking first on the list as the city with the best living conditions is Melbourne, Australia with an overall rating of 97.5. Vienna, Austria ranked second while Vancouver, Canada ranked third. Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa took the 92nd and 96th positions respectively. London, UK is ranked 55th, while Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the next host of the Olympics also shares the 92nd position with Johannesburg. The liveability report surveys 140 locations around the world to assess the best or worst living conditions. Cities are scored on political and social stability, crime rates and access to quality healthcare. It also measures the diversity and standard of cultural events and the natural environment; education (school and university); and the standard of infrastructure, including public transport. The Economist Intelligence Unit produces regular reports on the “reports on the liveability”, and cost of living, of the world’s major cities, which receive wide coverage in international news sources. https://www.bellanaija.com/2012/08/lagos-is-ranked-as-the-3rd-worst-liveable-city-in-the-world-by-the-economist-intelligence-unit-do-you-agree-with-the-ranking/ Look at what Yorubas turned the former once beautiful Nigerian capital into. Poor Yoruba management is killing Lagos, yet Lagos is supposed to be the best city in SW, if it's ranked third worst city to live in the world, what's the fate of Oshogbo and Ibadan? ![]() |
BlackOnassis:These are lies Yorubas are fed with. Western region under Awolowo was not growing faster than the Eastern region, let alone being the fastest in the whole Africa Those are just Ibadan media propaganda. There are a whole lot of generational lies that Yorubas have been fed with by their forerunners, that this internet age must debunk and demystify. Your above goofy comment is one of them. Here are the real facts of the era in discuss: "Paul Anber's essay "Modernization and Political Disintegration: Nigeria and the Ibos" published in the journal of Modern African Studies vol. 5, No 2 (Sep, 1967) 163-179. See pp 171-172 for excerpt: " '' A system of Universal primary education was introduced in Eastern Nigeria in 1953, though the mission schools had already prospered in the Region long before then. Despite the fact that there was a requirement for limited contributory fees, education continued to be very much in demand. Even at the time when universal primary education was first introduced, the percentage of the population over seven years of age who were literate was higher in the East than in any other Region: East, 10.6 per cent; West 9.5 percent; North, 0.9 percent. Since 1959, the East has had more teachers and pupils than any other area of the country, with the heaviest emphasis on primary education. Figures for elementary and secondary education indicate that the approximate ratio of teachers to population in 1963 was 1 to every 1,500 in the East, 1 to every 2,500 in th West, and 1 for every 10,000 in the north. Other statistical data reveal how rapidly the standard of living rose among Ibos. The East had the most extensive hospital facilities in the country by 1965, the largest regional production of electricity in the country by 1954, and the greatest number of vehicle registrations by 1963. The economic orientation of the Ibos was also reflected through membership of credit associations:in 1963 the East had 68,220 individual members, the west 5,776, and the north a mere 2,407". Nobody hated Awo's gut. His treachery was what everyone one hated and what eventually led to his death. |
Shukuakukobambi:Awo died of rat poison that already is a historical fact though I understand that Otapiapia kills peacefully, so you might be right by saying that he died peacefully. Awo was found guilty of treason and embezzlement of public funds by a court of justice presided over by a Yoruba judge and was subsequently sent to prison, this too is a historical fact! Coscharis son married a Yoruba girl, he wasn't masturbating over her, he comes from an ethnic group of queens and didn't need to trip over any woman by masturbating about her in the public. Achebe daughter is yet an Igbo queen, Yorubas guys can't get over. Ekweremmadu was so inconsequential that he mobilized the PDP faction that broke the power game of your drug baron Yoruba APC leader,if he is inconsequential than your drug baron Lord is useless ![]() Of course, We are free minds, and we Will never stop fighting until we are completely separated from the Hausa-Fulanis and their Yoruba vassals. No amount of sacrifice will be too much. https://www.nairaland.com/884181/photos-national-funeral-ceremony-late/1 Show me Awos burial celebration pics ![]() |
Shukuakukobambi:Lol! Awo died of rat poison. That is a historical fact, confirmed by Yorubas themselves. What does his dying in 1986 had to do with the fact that he took Otapiapia and died like a rat, after he was caught planing a civilian coup for the second time, that time around, by IBB? ![]() FFK is only dreaming of sleeping with an Igbo queen like are Yoruba males do. It's nobody's fault, it's the fault of the creator that decided to not create beautiful Yoruba women for Yoruba men to fantasize about. Lol. Ojukwu died a hero, received national burial. Awo died a dried rat at the hands of Otapiapia manufactured by an Igboman. ![]() Don't know about Sheriff, just observing him, but come on, Fayose propping up PDP? politics is a game of numbers, APC has SW under lock, how many votes exactly can Fayose deliver to PDP in a real national election? ![]() I guess in your world too, Amaechi was the strong man of Rivers state, simply because he makes noise. SE remains a PDP zone, in that case, Ekweremmadu is billions times of an asset to PDP than Fayose can ever be, it's not by shouting all over the newspaper and TV channels. ![]() |
oduastates:And what about the looting that happened under Abacha's administration that Buhari was part and parcel of and continues to swear was innocent of public funds embezzlement. You need help ASAP. |
papparatzzi2013:Lol! See delusion. ![]() |
Shukuakukobambi:Awo died like a rat in my street gutter:http://247ureports.com/how-awolowo-committed-suicide-by-abdulmumini-adeku/ His greed finally nailed him. He died a nobody, the world never celebrated him. Ojukwu died a Hero, received a national burial with dignitaries all over Africa, his death news was carried CNN,BBC. Ny Times etc. The most celebrated burial in Nigeria. Ekweremmadu is only inconsequential in your ewedu infested brain cells. He remains the highest ranked PDP member in this dispensation. The life or death of PDP depends on SE and SE, Fayose is just a normal loquacious Yoruba man, though I admire him, but his relevance must not be overstated as he commands and can only deliver a meagre vote for PDP in SW. He is like the Amaechi of SW. As for the FFK rubbish, who doesn't know that it's the dream of every Yoruba man to sleep with an Igbo woman, as their women are as fugly as hell. One wouldn't blame FFK for fantasizing and masturbating in public over an Igbo beauty queen, it's not his fault, it's genetic, so we can live with that, we are tolerant people, you know. |
Shukuakukobambi:No, but I know what Awolowo looked like, after Yorubaland was annexed as a vassal region and used as an Hausa-Fulani launch pad to attack Biafra, with Awo lured to lick Gowon's buttocks as his slave/servant,in hope of being one day rewarded with the number one post, only for him to be frustrated, forced into committing treason, caught in the act, took otapiapia and thereafter died like a dried rat. I know exactly how he looked like, I see it each time I see a dead rat in my street. On the PDP ish. It would interest you to know that the highest ranked PDP member in this APC era, is Ike Ekweremmadu and he is an Igbo man, let that sink in. |
papparatzzi2013:Lol! When the whites came, they met Ndiigbo in peace, but in Yorubaland, they met a group of savages that were incapable of living in peace with each other, but we're instead having village wrestling matches they called kiriji war. |
papparatzzi2013:It's not about summoning courage. The people are now used to the name Oyigbo, their destiny is in their hands, they can change it any second they feel like, they are not under any yoke. Islam and politics are intertwined in the Hausa-Fulani world, their Islamic leaders are also their traditional leaders, you fool no one. |
Rayhutar:To make matters worst, there was not even one published Yoruba rebuttal to those bold words. What do you expect from vassals? They are only wired to work for their masters and the enemies of their masters and not against their masters. |
papparatzzi2013:The early explorers have lots of good and bad things to say about Ndiigbo. Bring out the bad ones, and I show you dozens of good ones. It's all about perspectives. |
papparatzzi2013:Lol! Towns get renamed by invading armies. No big deal. Romans gave Londonium ie London, it's name. What matters is who controls the land today. The Anglo Saxons control London, just as Igbos control Oyigbo. Ndiigbo control Oyigbo today, we can rename it anytime we like. Yoruba have no control over Ilorin and it's surroundings, the Emir a Fulani is only answerable to the Sultan in Sokoto. See the difference? ![]() |
papparatzzi2013:, 5/18/2016 edition of Pointblanknews Magazine, Alhaji Aliyu Gwarzo, a prominent Fulani leader from Kano, said the following words “when I say that the presidency must come to the North next year, I am referring to the Hausa-Fulani core North and not any Northern Christian or Muslim minority tribe. The Christians in the North, such as the Berom, the Tiv, the Kataf, the Jaba, the Zuru, the Sayyawa, the Bachama, the Jukun, the Idoma and all the others are nothing and the muslim minorities in the North, including the Kanuri, the Nupe, the Igbira, the Babur, the Shuwa Arabs, the Marghur and all the others know that when we are talking about leadership in the North and in Nigeria, Allah has given it to us, the Hausa-Fulani. They can grumble, moan and groan as much as they want but each time they go into their bedrooms to meet their wives and each time they get on their prayer mats to begin their prayers, it is we the Fulani that they think of, that they fear, that they bow to and that they pray for. Some of them are even ready to give us their wives and daughters for one night’s sport and pleasure. They owe us everything. This is because we gave them Islam through the great Jihad waged by our father, the great Usuman Dan Fodio. We also captured Ilorin, killed their local King and installed our Fulani Emir. We took that ancient town away from the barbarian Yoruba and their filthy pagan gods. We liberated all these places and all these people by imposing Islam on them by force. It was either the Koran or the sword, and most of them chose the Koran. In return for the good works of our forefathers, Allah, through the British, gave us Nigeria to rule and to do with as we please. Since 1960 we have been doing that and we intend to continue. No Goodluck or anyone else will stop us from taking back our power next year. We will kill, maim, destroy and turn this country into Africa’s biggest war zone and refugee camp if they try it" |
papparatzzi2013:Lol! Oyigbo is but a name of a local government, the Asa and Ndoki towns retained their traditional names. The kings remain Ezes, they remain Igbos. The Ijaws renamed Oyigbo by serving as willing vassals to the Hausa-Fulani invasion of Igboland, but Oyigbo remain fully under Igbo control and the locals there can rename it any time they like, but had gotten used to the name. It's not the same as what happened in Kwara.
|
raumdeuter:By serving as willing launch pads and vassals to the Hausa-Fulani, in their attempt to spread their tentacles into Igboland. You even serve as their mouth piece, forever defending their cause through the use of your media propaganda machine. |
papparatzzi2013:You can't give anyone freedom, when you are a slave, and yet to free yourselves. You are at best vassals of the Hausa-Fulani, as they have commited you into eternal servitude by forcefully annexing your lands in Kwara and converting your people to Islam. |
Fanyogoyogo:Ndigbo had always supported all Nigerian presidents. From Obasanjo to Yaradua and then to GEJ, they all won elections in Igboland. Just because you( SW and North) hated GEJ for giving the East equity by taking away the excesses you had enjoyed since 1970, would not make Igbos to stop supporting him. Buhari is hated in Igboland, because we see him for who he is ie, a tribaliist who hates Ndiigbo. |
hundredhunndred:All he( OP) wrote were all true. Are Yorubas not the highest supporters of Buhari and his agenda today? |
popsonbj:See "painment". ![]() |

FFK became an instant hit amongst his Yoruba people, his achievement? Sleeping with Bianca in his dreams.
He made other African leaders look like retards; if I was his contemporary, I would have hated his guts
