He's just like me, a Maths with Econs graduate who enjoys cooking.

But I'm a bit disappointed with the interview. No numbers or statistics were given to quantify his growth or whether the catering business is more profitable than the bank job etc. Infact, going by the tone of the interview, it seems he is yet to find his feet in the new business.
There's a second part of the interview. Maybe that will be addressed there.

I wonder what Nairaland is turning to. You mods should be ashamed of yourselves putting these tired stories of idiotic Tonto and her equally idiotic husband on the front page! If you must litter this forum (perhaps it's now a gossip blog) with every salacious detail of the so - called marriage between these 2 misguided people who haven't the faintest clue of what marriage means and the sacrifices it takes to provide a stable home for an innocent child who didn't ask to be born to knuckle heads such as themselves, then kindly do us, your long - suffering members, a favour and leave your 'news' in the gossip or celebrity section where it belongs! Same with the titillating morsel about the 'man of God' and the wanna - be musician of uncertain reputation. There! I've said my piece. Ban me if you like.

*FACTS ABOUT NIGERIA YOU MAY NEVER HAVE KNOWN*
You may already know that Nigeria is *The Largest Black Nation* in the world and the *Most Populous Nation* in Africa.
You may already know that Nigeria has great dependency on crude oil, plus all the other opinions of David Cameron.
Here are *20 unpopular facts about Nigeria.*
1. Are you aware that all over the world *Nigerians are setting the pace* and becoming the standard by which others measure themselves?
Do you know?
2. In the US, Nigerians are *The Most Educated* immigrant community. Type it into Google and you’ll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated.
3. *60% of Nigerians* in the US have *college degrees.* This is far above the American national average of 30%.
4. Nigerians in US are one of *The Highest Earners,* typically earning 25% more than the median US income of $53k.
5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, *Nigerians routinely outperform* their peers from other nations.
6. *A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family,* have officially been named *the smartest family in the UK.*
7. The designer of the famous car, *Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu,* is a super talented Nigerian from Sokoto State.
8. *The World’s fastest supercomputer* was designed by a world renowned inventor and scientist, *Philip Emeagwali,* a full-blown Nigerian whose patency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the patency to the world’s fastest computer: a Black Nigerian.
9. The *wealthiest Black man and woman* on earth are Nigerians, *Aliko Dangote and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija.* Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind.
10. South Africa couldn’t have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for the leadership role Nigeria played.
11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who ruled after apartheid, two of them once lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President of South Africa. We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and our politicians, musicians and activists campaigned relentlessly.
12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra Leone which the world ignored because they have no oil.
13. When there was a coup in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the elected President back to power.
14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom had street lights fueled by palm oil.
15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask.
16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state, Northwestern Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to Africa.
17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and built a statue for France free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don’t be lied to.
18. The first television station in Africa was *NTA Ibadan (1960)* long before Ireland has their RTE station.
=========
Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our recent and ancient past.
If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you’ll not get the full picture of your Nigerian heritage.
Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he is, or his height and position.
We’re not a nation of scammers, drugs & corruption, but a people with a verifiable track record of greatness.
==========
Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians:
19. On the 7th May, 2016 at *Howard University* in Washington D.C history was made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, *43 of them were Nigerians* and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians.
The entire world still envies our uniqueness as a NATION with living together despite our ethnic diversity. One single country with over *400 languages.*
They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into drugs overseas et al.
If you don’t blow your trumpet, no one
will blow it for you.
# VIVA_NAIJA !!
20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians world over and only less than 250,000 of this figure have traceable criminal records.
This is about 0.14% of our entire national population in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%. Shame on global media.
Listen Nigeria, don't let anybody woo you into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian.
Nigerians are
NOT criminals.
You are NOT a criminal.
You are topnotch; second to none around the world.
I am proud am created a Nigerian, thank you . .
Be proud of *Nigeria* wherever you go.
Take out your Passport with pride.
Be proud of our
*GREEN HERITAGE.*
Be enthusiastic of our *FUTURE GREATNESS.
Thank you, thank you, thank you one million times for this. You need to open a separate thread for this.

@op, i actually chose not to quote you cause you are not worth the extra 2 seconds. I don't have any affiliation with the Apostle, i've never been to his church, don't even know them, but you should be a bit mature in your assertions. Has it been proven that he's guilty? Have we seen the end of the whole drama? Have you not been abreast with happenings in the country in the last few months, as regards the Apostle's agitation with the government? And before you cry foul, I am a christian and i am more against most Nigerian pastors and their antics than you'll ever be. But let's reason and be objective na... Don't let your excitement take over you.
Yes but before now was she proven a liar? People had already judged her and called her names. Some said it was APC. Maybe it is, maybe not. Who was willing to see the end of the whole drama before passing judgement on her? She mustn't be a liar because she is a tacky wanna - be singer. (My opinion. I've seen her video). And he is nowhere above reproach because he is a preacher. We should learn to hold everyone to the same standards of behaviour whether you are pastor, priest, imam or lay - man. As it is, the deck is heavily stacked against her: if she is lying, she will be subsequently found out and her life will be ruined. If he is lying (if by some miracle he admits the truth), life goes on as usual for him. His church members will still support him, give him their money and shower him with accolades. We'll still see pictures of him all over the Internet, looking sharp with his missus on his arm. A certain pastor comes to mind.

Boobs! I believe this lady and her testimony and I am surprise women are not standing behind her rather they choose a scumbag because he holds a bible. Why won't men continue to surpress women, especially African women.

Stephanie/Kimora was hurt and she is bold to tell her story. At least other women can learn. According to her, she is not the only one the fake pastor sleeps with. However, people including women, who are mostly victims in this circumstances, are calling her a slut, LovePeddler and a fool. I'm not surprised, but when will women learn that this circumstances present an opportunity for women to rally behind each other to tell men, you can no longer continue to deceive us.

Stephanie has done no wrong than to open up emotionally to an influential scam artiste who is good at deceiving people.
1 million likes. Hypocrisy among the females in nigeria is scary. We're our own worst enemies. I've heard stories about this man from 2 church members who left. But in nigeria, carry a bible and call "Jesus" in every sentence and you pretty much have a free pass to behave badly.

This has to be one of the funniest posts I've read all day. I still don't understand why God had to kill so much, I agree with the commenter that said he should have had a foresight of the future, the people that keep arguing he is God and so therefore should not be questioned blah blah blah only sound dumb to me, the one about we being joysticks is just plain hilarious I'm still rotfl. I don't understand religion, it comes with too many controversies and every time I ask questions, I keep getting the same looks like I need deliverance and the same "you shouldn't question everything" reply. I don't believe there is a God, but I don't carry it on my head either if he exists or not. I gave up on that long time ago and just settled for being an agnostic. I don't believe in Christians or Muslims or Atheists, I believe in good people and bad people and that sometimes, good people do bad things and bad people do good things.
Likewise. I have just recently given up. I'm not atheist because I do believe there is a supreme being or beings responsible for our being here. There is too much evidence in the make up of humans, animals even plants, that points to intelligence in their creation. I don't subscribe to the big bang theory. Sounds like a cop out to me. That said I believe this being or beings are very different from what organised religion would have us believe. I find it incredible to believe that in a world with people of such disparity in beliefs, traditions, habits, experiences, all worship must be the same. Christians act as though their faith is all by their doing and choice. The most fervent Christian on this board would have been the most fervent Muslim or Buddhist or whatever, if he had been born into that religion. Why are we now judged for something that is out of our control? And the argument for conversions to Christianity holds no water. If that were the case people would have been converting in droves. So in a religious country like Nigeria, with so much stealing and killing and hatred, one wonders if the perpetrators of all these evil are spirits. But with all the contradictions in organised religion, if you ask questions you are shot down and called names. Christianity itself has created so many atheists.

Each and every single one of those guys had a hand in the mess nigeria has become. Why should we believe that they've suddenly had an epiphany and have become saviours of their people? When all these years, from administration to administration, they've joined their friends, fellow party members and fellow government officials to screw over the people. If we let any of these criminals have a hand in any restructuring efforts we would be back to square one.

He's been caught and these donkeys are here bleating. Maybe they can advise their paymasters to convert their stolen cash into jewellery as well. A whistle blower probably blew this open. You're a Nigerian citizen. Expose the Tinubus, Amechis, and Aishas. No doubt they have their own loot as well. Well, do your duty as a citizen: expose them. Instead of braying here like constipated donkeys at work others have done because it doesn't satisfy your partisan yearnings. If during these perilous times, people cannot see that anyone who enriches himself at the expense of the nigerian people, whether he's PDP, APC, last or present administration, is an enemy of all nigerians and should be roundly condemned and prosecuted, they should be pitied.

Tinubu knows exactly what he's doing. How can he say he didn't know Buhari ' s health issues before he supported him to win the elections? Even PEJ knew but we didn't believe her. I stood in the sun for hours to vote for Buhari. And once again, a sick man was knowingly foisted upon Nigerians, to further one man's political agenda. Tinubu has played us like chess pieces. I won't be surprised if he planted that article himself, deliberately making it look like a half - arsed incompetent job, just to murky the waters and give himself an opportunity to refute any alleged ambition to contest. Whereas everything is just playing according to script. This man terrifies me. If I didn't detest him so much, I'd actually admire his machiavellian skills. He and IBB are birds of a feather.

Please anyone that knows Baba should advise him to resign, rest and leave Nigeria with her wahala. He would be highly respected and remembered for good if he resigns. Forget all agendas and plans. Osinbajo is capable. Nigeria is in good hands. The way God dislodged the cabals of the Yaradua era so shall God dislodge every enemy of the people of Nigeria. Don't let anyone use you to hold on to whatever power or wealth been accumulated at the expense of Nigerians. You are the one who knows where it hurts most. Aisha Buhari was using style to tell Nigerians that there was trouble and that her husband had been shackled by the cabal. Poor woman.
NB: I am not pro Buhari at all but we are all human at the end of the day. Good morning
Well said. I doubt if Buhari even knows what is going on.
I believe he's that incapacitated. I think the decision to resign or not rests with this so - cabal who have him in their grip. I feel so sorry for Nigeria. This is Yar'adua all over again. Do we really deserve this? When will it end? If Aisha Buhari wants to salvage any scrap of respect or goodwill for her husband's name, she will tell the country how sick Buhari really is and we will know that the decision to resign actually rests in the hands of these shadowy goons. The we will proceed accordingly. Instead of waiting for a sick man to make that decision when he probably is not able to. How much can Osinbajo do without the full constitutional powers of the office? Not in an acting capacity. As for Tinubu or any of the other old recycled clowns, if Nigerians let them anywhere near the presidential seat whether in 2019 or 2050, then I'll know our case is totally irredeemable.

That man appears before kings, presidents and men of high calibre of nations because of how God has anointed him. He doesn't need to tell the world this but we that know him are aware.

Can his church give him $1m within a month? no! but he had it in one day from an individual whom he has never met before and also who knows what devotion to the kingdom means, and he still gave it all to people in cars, cash and properties.
People could just call him from all over the world and sow seeds in his life. Someone who does his prophetic evangelism from nation to nation , in total is 119nations of the earth and still counting.

Truth be told. the rate of drugs trafficking increases last two years. Why? The government we put all our hope on has failed us. As long as we breath , we got to strive and survival, that's the reasons a lot of Nigerians engage on drugs trafficking, scam, prostitution etc. Am not saying this is good, in fact I kick against it, but if the present administration keep at least 5% of their campaign promises, especially creating job opportunities. I believe this shame wont have come closer to us. Even black ugly monsters kenya want carry us shine. it hurts a lot.
I don't quite agree. Granted the hardship is unprecedented. However I think our problem is that we are too quick to embrace illegality. That is a sign of a people who are corrupt in the first place. We're not the poorest people in the world. Why do we so readily embrace vice as an answer to our financial problems? Our values are skewed and easily malleable: guaranteed to change to suit our convenience. Our taste and desire for the good things of life far outweigh our ability to acquire them legitimately. Our desire to 'make it' is not tempered by any sense of right and wrong: "e no concern anybody. Make your own let me make mine". As a society, we dare not hold up a mirror to ourselves. We lack the objectivity to view ourselves dispassionately and tell ourselves some hard truths. Until that is done we will never take the necessary steps to right our wrongs and heal our society. And we will continue to be reviled and despised the world over. A very sad outcome for a people as dynamic and intelligent as Nigerians.

Politics › Re: Oh No! Nigeria Listed As The Most Corrupt Country On Earth by Arielle: 8:37am On Feb 20, 2017
Well deserved. Both rulers and followers are irredeemably corrupt. There is no kind of leader that can save a people who wallow and revel in corrupt practices, greed, selfishness, callousness, hypocrisy and an incredible capacity for self - deception. We are clinging and hanging on with bloody finger nails, pointing sullied fingers of guilt at each other, while we pretend not to notice or care about the opprobrium, scorn and derision with which we are regarded worldwide. Nobody can fix our rotting society for us. Buhari cannot perform magic, Jonathan couldn't. Neither could any of the insincere, dishonest, self-centered and callous rulers that came before them. While we the followers continue to reflect those very same characteristics that have brought us to this sorry state of affairs, any redemption for this country is a mirage at best. The blinders of political hypocrisy, ethnic and tribal sentiments, 'Religiousity' and greed have been firmly fixed over our eyes and have colored our collective consciousness. Maybe when Nigeria finally implodes, like a phoenix, she will rise up again, sadder, bruised and battered but wiser. Unfortunately by then we would all have been destroyed along with her: APC, PDP, North, South, East and west, Christian or Muslim alike.
