This is the worst government in the history of Nigeria.
Can't we use our head for once. We use everything for politics. Our nation is under siege, the only thing we get to talk is playing politics around it. Terrorism is on soil and we will fight this for donkey years. We need to put our heads together on this irrespective of religion or political affiliation. Can't we see what is going on in Kenya, Somalia, Ivory Coast, Mali and middle East. Terrorist are attacking nation's of the world, all what to reason/talk is PDP n APC.

You are a wicked soul if that is what will come out of your mouth. It takes days to travel Ilorin through Jebba, that Channels had to show how bad this road was several times on TV. The road was fixed and that is what is coming from your mouth. I have journey on this same road to Sokoto like for 4 occasions. Don't allow hatred for the man to becloud your sense of reasoning. He had fixed infrastructure more than your heroe even considering the exonomic reality on ground.
BusinessRe: Unilever Certified As Africa’s Top Employer by arilewo(m): 4:27pm On Oct 19, 2018
Nigerians populace are very gullible and Nigerian politicians know how to lie very well. I once worked with a multinational company here who has like 3000 workers in it's yard and I know what it looks like to have 1000 employees. The so called company still has less than 100000 employees worldwide and Atiku is claiming 50000 employees in Nigeria. It is nothing but a big fat lie.

Some persons will sit down in Nairaland and be propagating lies. I challenged those supporting Bukola candidacy to take a tour of Kwara State, not just Ilorin but entire Kwara State. A state ravaged with poverty, lack of infrastructure and some persons will come here to spread lies. I am an indigene of the state. Y do we have many Kwarans in Lagos? Y do we have low population in Kwara State?

The way he has transformed Kwara State. Schools are in bad shape, hospitals are in bad shape, Kwara roads are worse. Visit the length and breadth of Kwara state before you start to propagate failure up and down

The way I see Osun election is different, each area only voted their son. Adeleke cleared Ede, Adeoti cleared Iwo, Oyetola cleared Boripe, and Omisore cleared Ife. Oyetola managed to came second in all other candidates home front. Adeleke used advantage of Ede vote to lead meanwhile he won lesser LGAs compared to Oyetola who won in more LGA.

To put it in simpler terms, Why did you think the people of Osun and Ekiti state voted against APC?

PoliticsRe: INEC Announces Winner Of Osun Governorship Election Rerun (Live Updates) by arilewo(m): 11:50pm On Sep 27, 2018
Let us go back and sit down and check the Saturday results, APC won more LGAs than PDP, PDP had the most outrageous margin between the first position and second position in 2 LGAs of Ede (South and North, Adeleke's Homebase). Yet PDP was leading but he won lesser LGAs than APC. Don't forget that the same Adeleke left APC for PDP.whether APC or PDP Nigeria political parties lack ideology. I see them as a normal football club and I use my way of supporting a club just to follow them. APC/PDP is just a name, the players keep moving up and down for personal interest, that is why they will occupy position in party A and tried to look for another. When such is not coming they leave and start insulting party A, party B gives them a position when they are done the run back to party A. It is all about their personal interest my country people.

One of the major problems affecting us most at times is that we are sentimental in our judgment in this country. Our emotions do block our sense of reasoning and sometimes some persons argues on things they have limited information/knowledge about. That is why falsehood is easily spread in our country, we have lost our sense of logical reasoning.

Please I need your advice house, I am going to GTR Columbus MS, I am supposed to fly in to either ORD Chicago or ATL Atlanta, then take a connecting flight Delta Air to GTR. The cost is huge so I am reasoning entering through JFK New York using Egypt Air (Arrival time 15:15) while Delta Air is meant to leave for GTR @ 16:10. I only have the option of waiting till the next day for the flight to GTR. Will the CPB official not raise an eyebrow? Do I have to book hotel ahead even though I am not planning to use it as I will be putting up with a close pal till the next day (though I didn't fill in my DS-160 to know anybody in the US). Please I need answers to my questions. Thanks

congratulations on your visa. God bless your new journey. I have few questions to ask as regards MSU application....
Did u submit scanned copy of academic transcript for initial admission evaluation? or u submitted official one through courier before admission?
was the offer together with admission? or separately?
Did u write any standardised exam GRE,TOEFL and what's ur profile like?
N:B I'm applying for my PhD this fall.
Thanks for ur time
I wrote both GRE and TOEFL though the school waived TOEFL for Nigerians. Scanned copy of transcripts accepted while the department gives admission with funding.

Visa approved @ US Embassy Abuja this morning. I want to appreciate everyone who has contributed to this platform, you are too much most especially the likes of Big Francis, Walspring, OluDare, Imperious and the rest. I got loads of information from Part 3 - 13. I appreciate you guys. I was interviewed by one American lady and it went like this:
ME: Good morning ma
VO: Good morning. Pass me your passport and I -20. I did and she said why Mississippi State University? She was busy typing.
Me: The department of Chemistry MSU provides a flexible and dynamic curriculum which aligns with my intended course of study and their research area suits my career plan. Their research laboratory is supported by an array of in-house equipments and instruments. Having earlier discussed with Prof. Todd Mlsna whose research work focuses on adsorption using Biochars have agreed to supervise my work having earlier published articles on biosorption studies.
VO: How many schools did you applied to?
Me: Six schools I all
VO: Mention them
ME: LSU, FIU, USD, MTU, OSU& MSU
VO: Tell me what you are doing now
ME: I have being working with Kwara State Teaching Service Commission
VO: Are you married? She was busy typing all through
ME: Yes I am married.
VO: Any children?
Me: Yes, 1 child
VO: How will you cover your tuition fees?
ME: I got tuition waiver from the school and I was given studentship with stipends worth of $22000 per annum.
VO:Have you travelled outside Nigeria?
ME: I have not gotten any need to travel outside the country except now.
VO: Tell me the schools you attended?
ME: I attended Kwara State College of Education Oro where I bagged NCE Chemistry/Mathematics before proceeding to University of Uyo for B.Sc degree. I did a masters program @ the University of Ibadan bagging M.Sc Analytical Chemistry.
VO: What will you be doing after the program?
ME: I will be returning back to Nigeria to pick up position as a Lecturer with the likes of Covenant University, Afe Babalola University and Landmark University. I'll also be consulting for multinationals like Shell, Chevron, Mobil and Agip in the area of environmental monitoring and remediation.
VO: Have this your I-20, I'll be approving your visa.
I was given the white paper to pick up my Visa

Like I said earlier, I’d say again; apply to the best school your profile can afford.
A lot of people here have modest profiles. >300 in GRE, 4.0 GPA, yet they’d apply to schools that are not even ranked. I never said everyone should apply to Harvard or Stanford or MIT. I remember saying the minimum threshold should be the top 1000 in the world. Why would you carry your hard earned money and go to a school that has no rankinghuh?

ALL I’M SAYING IS STOP SETTLING FOR MEDIOCRITY. Yes, University of Ibadan is well ranked than some of the schools that have been mentioned here. People are blinded by the fact that it’s USA.

Wake up, not all schools in the USA are worth it. Do your research and aviloid mediocrity.

Cheers

The truth is I take into consideration the ranking of this schools, I will never leave the shores of Nigeria to attend a school where UI is well ranked above. I applied to 9 schools for fall 2018 and I made sure they are well ranked above UI (1099 in the world), which has the highest ranking in Nigeria. I know I cant made Harvard, MIT and Yale of this world but the school should ranked above what we have in the country. You must know what you are doing, don't just jump out because it is US or any part of the world. That is my take on this

Hello bosses.

I've seen posts saying that we should select from top 100 or 150 school.

Times, webometrics all give different ratings. It might not look different for the top 10 schools but as one tend to go lower along the list, there is a great diversion in the ranking of schools.
Please my question exactly is what is the basis of checking ranking?
As for me, I used webometrics ranking to check school ratings per time for my choice and view of schools. It is the most comprehensive ranking of world universities (close to 20000 universities) and it is done semi-annually (February and August). I will advise you supplement it with US ranking of graduate program in your field of interest.

As Nigerian youths, we discussed things we don't know as if we are expert. The tax in question is PAYE which was not remitted to the appropriate quarters (state government). Most federal MDAs defaults in remitting their taxes to most states government as @ when due.
