This is in response to a thread about the official Igbo attire. Neither Isiagu nor Agbada is the official Igbo attire. Isiagu itself is a material but it also has a style which is a loose design that widens further down.
Agbada is neither native to Igbo nor any ethnic group in Nigeria. Senator attire has evolved as the Igbo corporate attire. It is said to have been popularized by senator Anyim pius Anyim and evolved from the original loose Isiagu style.
Check it out below being adorned by Igbo politicians and leaders.

Egun are not yoruba. Secondly, the census clearly called them 'Oyo yoruba' indicating they are native to oyo yet you call them indigenes. Following your logic it would be safe to call everyone captured in today census an indigene of Lagos. No one proves Lagos a no-man's-land more than Yorubas.

Nezan: The Tivs are of Bantoid origin like most cultural groups in Central Nigeria and were the last group to join Nigeria. They migrated from Congo via Cameroon. Tivs share no similarities in culture with the core North nor Igbos. They have a distinct culture. Basically when we talk about Benue we talk about lower Benue ie Idoma, Igede, Utonkon, Izza etc |

muykem: Good one from Lagos state. We should encourage our locally made products. Nobody hate Igbo. What are saying is that, determine who rules Anambra, Eungu, Abia, imo and Ebonyi. Let us determine who rules Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Ogun and Osun so there's no hatred at all. it is residents that determines who LEADS them. What you are asking for you cannot get. Do you know that close to half of the population of states like Anambra and Rivers are non indegenes. So called non indegenes vote in these places without molestation. If you are good, people living with you, will see need to vote with you. A bad workman quarrels with his tool. |

LegendHero: What is the correlation with Kanu and Lagos being Yoruba?
Did any Yoruba man go to Anambla to drag the state with Kanu abi what’s happening?
When some states are rejecting open grazing and locking the Fulani herdsmen away, no one remembered the constitution allow free movement of all Nigerians then.
But suddenly when it’s Yoruba making the law, we start seeing hypocrites crying like babies. If you believe that Lagos belongs to Yoruba instead of Nigeria, why are you fighting Nnamdi Kanu who says Nigeria is not one? That's the question the young man is asking. BTW, he is obviously not Igbo. |

ba7man: Jaja Wachukwu, former speaker of the house of reps was the first person to coin that term "No man's land" and he just had to be an Igbo man.
Outsiders move to New York and respect the city and their hosts. They don't go around insulting the locals. Northerners, middle belt, Niger delta people are found in Lagos but it's the tribe that the whole world hates that everyone has a problem with. Is Jaja Nwachukwu also responsible for your monthly clashes with the Hausas? Continue using "no man's land" to cover up your atavism and jealousy.
