Westerhoffe: Let them change this logo to the one that guy designed. That design speaks volume. Before you mention recall issues and expenses, it can be done.
When you start manufacturing your car you can use the "guy" logo
ANSMEDIA: It was Obi that took the step that made Anambra to be oil producing State today, It was under Obi's watch that Innoson vehicle manufacturing company came to reality, it was Peter Obi that persuaded Jonathan on Second Niger Bridge which is a reality today, It was Peter Obi that brought Nigeria stock exchange to Onitsha, it was the industrial estate in Ogbaru he revamped that attracted industries like SABMiller, Orenge drugs, Eastern Distilleries, Tiger Food, Active oil and others that Jonathan commissioned during his administration, you can only hate him but you can't bring Peter Obi down
Obi "persuaded" Jonathan to do what exactly? Before Jonathan became acting president second Niger bridge had become a topic. Despite his incredible closeness to Jonathan, neither second Niger bridge nor Enugu/Onitsha expressway was started. It took Obiano and Ngige's collaboration to get them started and completed. Innoson vehicles started in 2007 and he said it took him 5 years to study, so you see it was just incidental it was opened in 2007. You forgot to tell me the role Obi played in all that unlike Obiano for instance, who evidently attracted the agricultural and real estate revolution in Anambra. Continue rabble rousing for Obi. His performance is just bellow par.
ANSMEDIA: Governance is continuity, that state secretariat was built when Anambra workers were using rented apartments, since after the state was created, Obi built that massive buildings, the state workforce has been expanded, if the complex is not enough Soludo administration should expand it Obiano only repainted the secretariat and beautified the environment. We all worked for Obiano
don't be silly! No government plans a building for another complete. Government is a continuum but building a common structure is not. If he can't complete a common secretariat why do you hype him? Peter obi had money during his time. The money that came to his administration owing to oil prices was more than Anambra had since creation. Yet, no standard structure, no recruitment in civil and public service and those working were poorly paid. Not to talk of incessant industrial action by lectures, doctors, water corporation etc Obi did not try. You may hype him as you want but not when some of us who know Anambra more than you are present.
I don't know why some of you choose to be Dumbo, the federal secretariat is for federal workers in the state, while the state secretariat is for state work and its very massive and accommodating state workers
Those three magnificent buildings are state secretariat built by Peter Obi's administration
who do you think you're talking to? Don't be a fool. Only two buildings there were constructed under Obi and they've been reinforced under Obiano. The secretariat does not contain ministry of public utilities, ministry of works, mistry of lands etc. Stop hyping mediocres. It will backfire in future.
Mynd44: Plus do you realize the judgenent tomorrow is actually not one that is capable of removing the president elect but to decide if the high court was wrong in refusing to hear the case hence even if the APC loses, the court process will now go to the high court to be tried?
who told you all these. The case is a legal question that does not require a large amount of evidence during trial. The lower courts have heard the case and given the final judgement. There is no retrial.
garfield1: So someone that cannot win ne nw will be acceptable? Did buhari not rule effectively? You are funny.he has satisfied constitutional demands, thats all
where did you see me say Obi or any other person unable to win NE and NW is acceptable? You are the one trying to make it look like Tinubu has allies across board which is not true.
Again, it's not about meeting the legal requirements (assuming he did). Winning across ethnic and religious divides will give you the strong mandate to keep the country in peace. Buhari once called SE/SS 5% but soon found his administration struggling to assert it's influence in many parts of the country. Niger Delta avengers, unknown gunmen, endsars are all signs of resentment. Sotey he was embarrassingly banned by Twitter. If he knew he would wish to exit government 6 months to the end of his tenure, he would have adopted a more conciliatory approach. Tinubu is even more divisive than buhari and looks more unpopular. It will be extremely difficult for him.
garfield1: You are funny.he didnt need to win any se ss state, just needed 25% in some.he did not win landslide because buhari performed abysmally .it is not scandalous for a ruling party,it is not by force to win.the summary is that he won and oppoe lost
Yea. It is not by force to win but you can't say someone who couldn't win majority states is acceptable across board. Like I said it is not a legal requirement to win SE/SS including Lagos and Abuja. But any president who loses these places can't govern effectively.
garfield1: He only lost scandalously in se not ss.money was not heavily shared in the north, they simply wanted him.if the north dont want you, they dont want you just like the se.he lost narrowly in ss.the States you win doesnt matter but your votes and spread.he lost Lagos narrowly.
He won only one state in the SS + Rivers which is only official because everyone knows labour won in Rivers by landslide. There is no zone he one by landslide which is scandalous for a ruling party with structure and money.
garfield1: Funny.if most northern muslims support him,why did he win the north? If tinubu is regional, why did he win outside his region
Money! Money was heavily shared. Despite kwankwaso playing the spoiler, Tinubu won very narrowly in the north and lost scandalously in the SE/SS. Remember this is the incumbent party candidate. But he lost Lagos, Abuja Portharcourt and Kano. No president can govern effectively if he didn't win SE/SS Abuja and Lagos where you have the most educated, vocal and economically visible population.
garfield1: Dah guy,you heard from hundeyin and you quickly conclude? Are you aware that the apex court can deliver judgment even on Saturday? Who are the owners of Nigeria? Tinubu is closer to them than anybody else
This is not correct at all. Most Northern Muslim politicians support Atiku in secret but most southern and middle belt elites support Obi. Not as political allies but because of the dangerous precedence a Muslim-muslim ticket would create. Tinubu is not close to anyone, not even buhari. He remains a regional politician.
Second Niger bridge neither belongs to nor was built by the south east governors. South east is not a corporate entity in the constitution. If the daura bound failure is obsessed with naming institutions in southeast after himself, he should own up and do it formally.
onatisi: apc won't lose this case, they are just days to achieving their dream and target, they will rather win this case and face the consequences later .
sreamsense: The judges obi-idiots among obidients will soon abuse from bottom to head. What happened to Monday judgement on live telecast after raising so much hope? You have started loosing, loosing continues on Friday for obidients
you guys are just addicted to littering every thread with garbage.
As for the upcoming supreme court decision. I'll like to see it from political rather than the legal angle. Buhari and his cabal never really wanted Tinubu from the beginning and his utterances during campaign and the naira saga with emefiele proves they really had an internal battle and the cabal truly wanted to throttle his campaign energy and make way for Atiku. Unfortunately for them obedient movement changed everything this. This verdict will determine the extent the cabals want Tinubu gone. To me, law is not the issue.
Penguin2: Obi was busy dismantling the wrong foundations that had held Anambra down.
He concentrated in restructuring of Anambra politics and the structure and workings of Anambra as a whole and set it on the right path.
The people didn’t understand these things while he was in office. It was when they started reaping the fruit of his works after he had left office that they came to revere him more.
And hey, Obi was also very popular while in office.
You are not from Anambra, that’s why you are arguing.
Obi was not really popular in office. Apga barely won majority in the state HOA under him. Opposition always controlled senate seat in Anambra. He had a weak mandate, winning in 2010 with only 97k votes and losing in Idemmili, Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi despite federal backing and failing to meet the constitutional requirements of 2/3 spread. It was Obiano's administration that gave apga strong footing in Anambra by restorating majority in the national and state assembly and winning 21/21 in the election.
Stop making noise about Obi, Ngige remains the best.
Penguin2: If you know how Obi met Anambra and how he left it, you would know why Anambra people worship him, and why you should never downplay his works in Anambra.
Meanwhile, Obi has the tact and connections to hold Nigeria together better than Tinubu will ever do.
Obi is a no-nonsense character that you can’t compare to GEJ who is meek and always wants to make everyone happy.
Obi is in a class of his own abeg.
I have said it several times. Obi did not do anything in Anambra. In terms of transparency, he may be miles ahead of Tinubu and Atiku. Even Obiano the drunken master performed better.
MSGAMBLE9: The YouTube link you posted has the title buh na another movie dey inside...no be today I started using YouTube, do you how many times I tried downloading Lionheart buh na another movie go dey the file...no be today...
You are say a movie that makes nearly #700 and #350 mill are crap that sold on holiday...which holiday wan make #700m when we no even have the Cinema house capacity in Nigeria ( how many Cinema house dey East).... at least they make huge buck, please post highest Asaba grosser make we see...... You do see Asaba movie shot with drone before?
The few movies from that side like Aki and Pawpaw that makes Cinema grade didn't do too well... Why didn't the producers go the Asaba CDs route buh Common sense in them choose Cinema house not CDs, even the producers no live in medieval times they wan make better money wey Asaba no fy provide... This is Aki and Pawpaw cinema at 19 position, very poor for a household brand...
Yeye be like a chest-beater pretending to live in medieval times.
you are a fool. All the movies are in the links are correct. Go get data. King of boys and wedding party couldn't get 200k views despite the hype. The movies are starring at you face to face and you are showing me Wikipedia link. Do you need Wikipedia link to visit YouTube? You are now yapping incoherently because you can't believe your eyes. People are not interested in your overvalued out-of-touch movies. I can show you more of your "high grossing" movies and how they are performing on YouTube. Infact, they are always shown on ROK1 DStv and people still ignore it to go after "Asaba movies". Ask anyone who subscribes because I know you don't have access to genuine information. Regular movies rake in millions of views while your overhyped craps are ignored. If people can't watch them for free on YouTube, why will they pay to watch them in the cinema?
MSGAMBLE9: I swear most Ibo men are illitrate, so you think Blockbuster movies like King of boys, Wedding party, King of theives get posted on YouTube, sorry...
Those quality movies are in Cinema and Streaming network not poor man YouTube where you watch your substandard movie for free.. na #2 mill budget movie you take them be....
Aki and Pawpaw? post the movie title make I compare im numbers with Kambili numbers..Mind you Kambili only make #35mill on YouTube, other platform and limited Cinema preview.
Ndi VCD film industry...naso Cinema house scares for East.
I told you you know nothing. Like you are an empty talkative.
This is your wedding party 167k views after 4years
Cinema movies and their grossing are a scam. Yoruba movie makers are noise makers. Igbos are blessed. With little budget they make Interesting movies and huge profits. While your "high class" over valued craps won't sell except when people hang out on holidays in the cinema with popcorn. Imagine having Aki and paw paw in a cinema and given the hype your over valued craps are given, cinema houses will collapse. Go and learn business from people who know and swallow your pride. Yorubas are struggling to make good movies but seems unable to connect with Nigeria and African audience. Asaba/Enugu axis is the grassroots of nollywood and it's pillar and will remain so. If you don't like it, go to court.
MSGAMBLE9: Foreign movies or not, Are Nigerian movie doing well ? Yes, Booker street is almost over #700 and Wedding party gross nearly #1 B combined, ask yourself how much is their Production cost....is it because of foreign movie that the shambolic Asabawood refuse to upgrade or move on from CD era...
Have shown Femi Adebayo stat show me one Asaba film stat and let compare...it not about chest-beating (like my papa rich pass Dangote, back it up man)... or Accept your L.
Numbers don't lie, show us even the meagre numbers of views Asaba Movies dey get for YouTube you go hide face.
Yeye dey smell.
aki and paw that was posted few years ago on YouTube is the most viewed nollywood movie on YouTube. Go and sit down. Show me the views for king of boys and wedding party let's compare. Btw, what are those movies doing on YouTube? I thought they are classy and made for cinema alone. If they can't garner the most views on YouTube, it means they are a scam.
MSGAMBLE9: guy, speak for yourself that you cannot afford Cinema or streaming fee with back to back movie from Funke Akindele making over 600mil and even Femi Adebayo Indigenous language making over #350mill shows Nigerians can afford to watch good movies enmass with huge return....On Netflix they deal with Internal metrics not Emotions, for them to greenlight Anikulapo and King of boys for another season shows it profitable business for them ... do you think people like Kemi Adetiba, Afolayan or Mo Abudu will have biggest and most profitable studio in Nigeria if deals with Streaming giant and Cinema are not profitable...
Tell me which sector no like huge Investment, Hollywood shoot up due to Europeans jew massive cash injections after WW2.
Examples, Femi Adebayo shoot King of theives for #70mil to make over #350 at Cinema...can substandard Asaba film even near that figure In Production not to talk of Return.... if so give us examples
Only movie of substandard quality like Asaba will never dream of Cinema or streaming Network...who wan take on unprofitable ventures with PIRACY issues...even Asaba no dey attract big shakers in the industry only upcoming and C grade actors who cant cut it big in Big budget movies...no Ini Edo, Bimbo, Nse Etim, Toyin Abraham, Osas and Ini dima...how much be Asaba film budget wet Dem wan attract big fish or A-lister.
Joke's on you... commot there jaree.
You don't know anything bro. I repeat, you know nothing. Foreign movies still dominate cinemas. That means those Nigerians distributing movies via that channel don't know their onions.
Let me educate you. Most people who visit the cinema are rich and they go there to hang out and not to watch those movies in particular. That is why cinema movie makers hustle for viewership by paying huge amount for cinema houses to feature their movies on special holidays when people hang out. People hustle to watch good movies not the other way round. Many cinema movies end up on YouTube and their views are still less than many regular movies on YouTube. Check out wedding party on YouTube. The logical corollary is that a lot of regular movies will gross more than what you call hit if they feature on cinemas except that those producers wouldn't want to pay so much for promotion, taxes etc Highest grossing is not highest take home profit for producer . Stop saying "he made this and that" on cinema. Ask them their real profit. I repeat you don't know nada
eeetuk: "The judgment will be delivered three days before the inauguration of the president-elect and the vice-president-elect."
The fix is in! I told you guys that the so-called Supreme court judges have already determined to award the presidency of Nigeria to Tinubu. One evidence is issuing judgement three days before the inauguration of Bola Tinubu and Alhaji shetima. They did this to prevent anybody from stopping a moving train. You cannot change the mind set of criminals. You have a convicted drug dealer, named Bola Tinubu representing Nigeria. So, shameful! I never in my lifetime thought Nigeria will turn into this kind of route. Yab, the fix is in!
or, that the judgement will determine who would be sworn in like in Bayelsa.
MSGAMBLE9: Netflix or not, are they not Nigerian driven story with Nigeria crew and actors or not?.... you shouting Netflix like every sector doesn't require Investment, that is why Asaba is stuck in VCD and CD era with shameful movie title like Wrath of God's 1,2,3,4,.... If Cinema house took more why is the movie industry or everyone want to take their movie to Cinema and not go Crude Asaba or CDs way....
everybody wants to take their movies to cinema? are you sure you are ok? A lot of regular movies makers also produce for the cinema and make regular movies. Chill bro don't over rate the cinema. It has been there since independence. If it is as profitable as you claim, regular movie makers who release movies partly through it would have focused on it solely.
MSGAMBLE9: Big companies like Netflix, Amazon prime don't deals on Emotions buh cares about the business and Numbers that Asaba doesn't generate that's is why they are shunned...if you see Asaba movie you would know they truly need serious cash injections...Like you Netflix mumu reach to go burn their Hard earned cash on Substandard Asaba rifed with Piracy..
profit from Netflix belongs to Americans. Profit from Amazon prime belongs to France. Profit from nollywood belong to Nigerians who are mainly Igbo producers. Again stop acting as if AM epic is the only channel that show movies from produced in Asaba/Enugu axis. Most Am Epic movies, ROK 2, many ROK1 and AM urban movies are done there. So are most Nigerian movies on YouTube. Need I remind you that most nollywood movies done in Lagos are also done by Igbo producers. Till tomorrow, Igbos own nollywood. They are only competing with foreigners.
MSGAMBLE9: If as you postulate Someone million and reap millions back...trust me the Asaba movie genre would have been improved than this Eyesore we see on Epic...More profit would draw investors buh rather what we see is Asaba backwardness every year...we don't see Asaba numbers and not enough money is going into their Movie production (the movie quality prooves these) there hence there viability is questioned...
...and if they don't make profit, they wouldn't be producing more and more movies and employing more people right? Have you ever seen a business sustaining without profit? When last did you see Tunde afolayan produce his own movie? Last year I saw him nearly crying that he doesn't know how people make profit by uploading movies on YouTube. That shows that those people understand the business environment more than him but empty pride won't let him learn. Movie making is business, you keeping at a sustainable level. If you are not Iroko or multichoice who own a large distribution network and you invest a large amount in production, you'll loose because Nigeria business environment is though. Nigerians are too poor to afford the type of expensive luxury that Netflix is offering. I assure you they and Amazon prime will abandon nollywood in few years time.
