Gowon threatened Ojukwu with creating the COR state in the Eastern region if he does not drop the idea of Biafra.

The COR state means: Calabar-Ogoja-Rivers state.

When realized that Ojukwu was bent on on declaring Biafra, on 27th May just 3 days to the declaration of the Republic of Biafra (30th May 1967), Gowon created the Rivers and Cross River states out of the Eastern Region.

To balance the equation he created 10 other states in Nigeria on same day.

This is the origin of creation of states in Nigeria that has given us 36 of them today. It is all about stopping the coming of Biafra.

Gowon admitted it during restructuring debate he said " we restructured to stop Nigerias break up" that was how he ended federalism.

France wanted to back Biafra. A small amount of arms managed to enter and Biafra used it to recapture Owerri when Nigeria almost wanted to declare victory. UK had to run to France to plead that they stay away from the war. When France got Bakassi through Cameroon, they changed their support to "moral" one. France never actively supported Biafra. You can provide evidence.

Biafra, a country not backed by a single power fought Nigeria that was backed by UK and their allies, and Soviet Union and their allies, for three years. Something Iraq and Ukraine backed by the entire west couldn't achieve. If Nigeria should fight another civil war without foreign support, Biafra will put her to rout in months.

Kano is good, big and beautiful and deserves to be ranked one of the best. But like I already stated, Kano and Kaduna have ethno-religious issues such as Sharia which makes it difficult for people to live more freely and secured. Moreover, in a country that has English as official language, one expects you should be able to interact freely in English language in a Nigerian city. This is much more difficult in Northeast and Northwest.

And the half-standing Tinubu with dim-witted followers is focusing on Igbos.

You have not told me why only repeating yourself. You can never compare a city where ladies are scared to dress to fashion and men drink bear and wine in secret, to a place where the opposite is obtainable. Kano has good infrastructure more than Awka (by far) but religious extremism and Sharia is a huge dent.

Ikeja comprises of Allen, Opebi, Omole, Ojodu, Maryland, GRA, Anthony, Onigbongbo, Alausa, Magodo, Ogba, Agidingbi, Oregun etc.

The most developed state capital in terms of infrastructures are listed in this order.

Question is which capital city will you get the most quality life with enough money. Owerri beats the rest. It is relatively calm, well planned, neat and green, good and modern residential apartments, fairy good road and transportation ease. It also has a functional and fairly busy airport, hotels and other recreational facilities. Enugu is also good but appear dirty nowadays.

Port Harcourt has even more facilities than Owerri but has worse environment, worse traffic and a problem of petty cult clash. Reason many port Harcourt residents go to Owerri on weekends for relaxation.

Ikeja is good but traffic and noise are a major turn off.

I wouldn't argue about Ibadan. A large unplanned settlement with mostly dilapidated houses and with almost a non functional airport is what you want to argue about?

The role men play in the family can never be overstated. If he had a brother, he would have pursued the case to the end. Then the wife would claim victim of "widowhood practice"

If women should be ranked tribally based on their demands, then Yorubas will be ranked lowest. A Yoruba will leave their women and go all the way to Igboland for marriage. The only place you see their girls is in villages. 18 year old girl is carrying a baby and the very young man responsible has abandoned her to chase after corpers.

I blame their culture that turn things upside down. Impregnate a girl and come and come back to claim the child after ten years, effectively making their women baby factory. Try it in Igboland and someone will break your head.

Yoruba people don't rate there women at all. A Twitter thread asked which tribe had the best women. While Igbos mentioned Igbo girls, most Yoruba guys mentioned Igbo girls too. Worst still, as it degenerated to "fight", Yoruba guys joined to attack their women. It was some Igbo guys that came to the defence of Yoruba women. These ones are blabbing on this thread because it's a faceless forum. Monitor them on twitter, Facebook or one on work, they are worshipping Igbo women.
