These Balkan nations and their wahala sef.

First it was Shaqiri and Xhaka who riled Serbians with their celebrations now these fellas.

Good to know it isn't coach Zlatko himself that was sacked. Because I am rooting for 'em against 'Engrand'

I am surprised that people are surprised by Belgium's performance

I called this a couple weeks ago when I watched them play Tunisia. I said they could actually win this tournament. But some people said it's just Tunisia.

Their coach is a savvy tactician. See what he has done tonight. Dragged Lukaku to the right to give Hazard and De Brunye free roles. Brazil don't even know how to defend against this.

Belgium practically has everything. Fiesty defenders, feisty midfielders and sleek attackers. I love the team. But I am supporting France for the win, though.

Senegal messed up in their games with the same Japan allowing them to equalize 2.2 from 2.0 up....
They got served!
Yeah, I watched that game and was pissed. They should a taken Japan to the cleaners.

It was actually 1 -0, 1 - 1, then 2 - 1 to Senegal with just a few minutes left before Japan equalised.

Atleast he didn't kick the ball into his own net.
it's better he kicks the ball into his net while trying to defend, than to be leaning against the goal frame like a preggie woman when play is active. He's a disgrace.

This happens most time now, he couldn't have done a lot with the speed of the ball after this camera shot.

I was even thinking it is about the Japanese players that played over 10mins between themselves in their own half, especially one of their players having several step-overs (Ronaldo style) when no player or oppositon player is around him cheesy grin cheesy!!

That match has been voted the most disgraceful match in world cup history, and was talked about by FIFA.
Even their coach apologised that he did not know what to do at that period in time.

Wanted to make a thread about it yesterday, but I left it to others to do!
it has to be the worst really.

How ironic that Japanese still qualified ahead of Senegal on the basis of fair play!

@emboldened -- that's just the mature thing to do. In fact, I feel integrating your partner into the family "code war" and sibling "misbehaviors" is a fun way to make them feel among. It can go a long way in curbing every feeling of negligence and jealous. I personally love it when my sisters gang up with my gf to 'yab' me.

But our "village people" still won the fight. Maradona, ntorrrrrr!!!

Now for the village people to "use" France and erase Argentina out of this WC tomorrow...

To be fair to her I understand what she's trying to say.

You can love your mum more than your wife (I mean it's natural), but you shouldn't rub it in her face so it doesn't feel like you are sidestepping her.

*fold hands and shakes head in pity*

I watched those games and wondered why we were mightily outnumbered. Especially when I know that Nigerians are residing in Russia in large numbers.

Their fans were whistling at our players and their noise drowned out the noise of whatever few Nigerians had the chance to be there.

Now I see the reason why. What a pity! What an absolute pity!

I can't even find the right words to describe this disgraceful act. This is the reason why Nigeria will continue to tank at major tourneys like this. Kai! What kind of rotten "leaders" (scum.bags, more like) are these?

I am pissed...

Pissed that Ighalo block of a yansh usually drags him back when he wants to take a shot. 2 sweet chances -- a decent striker shoulda at least buried one. Even Welbeck would have scored one of 'em, at least.

I am pissed that the only time we came second best in the entire game on crosses into the box it proved to be the defining moment of the game.

I am pissed that we actually can't do anything against FIFA's blatant corruption.

Pissed that we didn't put all the naysayers and bad belles (especially from neighboring African countries) to shame

My only succor is that Argentina are meeting France next. I'll be yelling to the rafters in support of Lés Blues on that day. And will even celebrate a win with my friends just like a normal Nigerian win.

And may thunder not forget to kiss that referee for not giving handball against Rojo.

#Pissed.

I can't believe Grenot Rohr started this Idowu guy again. He doesn't perform up to standard. And besides one of Etebo or Mikel should have been rested to allow someone with fresher legs to come in.

The recovery days between the last match and today's is really short.

Nevertheless, I hope we excel. #SoarSuperEagles

Leave the mouth talking and do the talking with your legs.

It was somewhat better that you had that little hiccup against Croatia because it made y'all more focused on the Iceland game.

Before that game against Croatia there was so much noise from you guys. Now una wan start again. Focus on the game and give it your all on the pitch. Then you can come out and talk.

BluntBoy:

Cutting supplies to Messi will not work as Messi does not rely on supplies. He always goes deep to collect the ball himself.

My advise is that the Eagles play with serious consciousness. They should ensure to close all gaps.

This match should be the easiest for us if our players go in with the right mindset. The mindset that Argentina is beatable. Argentina are under the pressure to survive so they are very likely to hit the ground running from the blast of the whistle. The Eagles must have the game plan to frustrate as well as make quick breaks.

Everyone must be involved in play, even Uzoho. Uzoho must understand that modern football has evolved to include goalkeepers in play creation. He should kick the ball with purpose. Enough of shooting aimlessly. Then, he should be given penalty trainings. Twice, he has been sent the wrong way because of his hasty dives. Enyeama had this problem early in his career but he soon learnt to manage it. There is nothing bad in going the wrong way but that is not the issue. The issue is that Uzoho just dives.

I repeat that this is Nigeria's chance to record a first World Cup victory over Argentina. All we need is the right frame of mind. We need to believe we can do it. Iceland held them and Croatia beat them. Now, they are angry and desperate to qualify. They will definitely make more mistakes than usual and the Eagles must be conscious enough to watch for mistakes and punish them.

For choice of players, Ebuehi should start as he is more adventurous and yet dependable in the back than Idowu. Omerue is very solid and his presence allowed Balogun venture forward. Balogun is a potential scorer of cornerkicks for us. One day, he will bury a header. Might even be against Argentina on Tuesday. There should be no space for Ighalo.
You nailed this. I am impressed.

I think the first 15 minutes will be very key. The first goal should be to hold them down to 0 - 0 by the time the 20 minute mark is reached.

By then, Argentina will stay gettting frustrated and the nerves of the Eagles will calm down a notch. Then maybe we can take advantage.

I used to like this Neymar dude. But he is just full of disgusting antics. He'll never become a world best with such attitude.

After Messi and Ron are outta the scene, I'd prefer guys like Hazard, Salah, Mbappe, De Bruyne and even Coutinho to dominate, rather than this prima dona.
