Lol. I no watch again. Can't come and be giving myself heart attack.

The Madagascar coach is a BETTER coach then Rorh. They are pressing the Eagles and forcing errors out of them.

At half time we need to score, Genot Rorh decides to bring in a defensive midfielder.

Abeg after this tournament just boot him out. And if you can't bring a seasoned tactician, just put Siasia there. Rubbish.

I usually don't like criticizing coaches quickly. But I am beginning to tire of Genot Rorh.

He is basically a German Arsene Wenger -- outdated and out of his depth in today's game.

Can you see how the Madagascar players press and Barry our players immediately they cross the midfield? That's how football is being played today. Compare that to our own style. Keep shifting back towards goal as the opponents pass it around. It's doing my head in.

We can't even create chances. Talk more of taking them.

Mtcheew. The Nigerian football heart attack continues.

Education / Re: Ghanaian School Competition Uses Nigeria As A Reference For Fraud. See Reactions by Arsenalholic(m): 10:07am On Jun 29, 2019
Cool. Until we learn our lessons as a Nation, we will continue to attract ridicule and hate from other Nations.

How can Nigerians justify fraud? Is Nigeria the only country in the world where there are no jobs? Are we the only country suffering?

The name Nigeria is now on the lips of every Tom, Dick and Harry. Even in Canada where people are welcomed with so much open hands, just mention that you're a Nigerian these days and watch how their countenance changes.

The name Nigeria has now become a stigma.

The worst part is that many of us are treating this issue with kids' gloves. Very soon, not only Africans will be chasing us from their country, other Nations from Western world will do the same and the full effects of our atrocities as a people will become glaring to all.

P.S. As usual, people are trying to deflect this embarrassing situation talking about mundane things like population, jealously, music, bla bla bla. SMH

We are NOT ready to become serious in this country. The wools will fall off our eyes one day. And I hope it won't be too late a situation to salvage then.

Yeah, that's what I am trying to say too. It's why the Europeans and South Americans wipe the floor with our teams when we meet at the international stage.
Sports / Re: AFCON 2019: Algeria Beats Senegal To Qualify For Round Of Sixteen by Arsenalholic(m): 10:16pm On Jun 27, 2019
The Algerians were just too physical and man handled Senegal with the ref not having a firm grip on the game. If there was VAR, Senegal would have won a penalty.

African football is once again proving to be a game of muscles and brawn. Very little technicality involved.

I am hoping to see more interesting match ups as from the Quarter Finals, though.

Can't lie or be sentimental -- that was boring asf.

African football has a long way to go. We depend on power and brawns too much. No brains. That's why European and South American teams wipe us with the floor at the world stage.

By the way, I am beginning to have issues with this Gernot Rohr.

Why is Chukwueze on the bench? Why insist on starting Akpeyi the "shaking leaf"? Why don't our fullbacks bomb forward to occupy space created by our wingers who drift infield?

If I can see these things... I wonder how a well-paid coach seemingly misses them.

Don't want to EVER see Akpeyi near that goal again. What a clown! What is Genot Roth even thinking having him in goal?

Good to start with a win, though. Hopefully, we get to improve as the tourney goes on.

Mikel kills Nigeria's gameplay and how this coach doesn't see that baffles me. He plays in a deeper role in his club. But whenever he comes here we play him in 10. It's obvious he is finished there. Either play him alongside Ndidi in CM and play Iwobi in 10 or drop him totally.

I LOVE Chukwueze. Been a loooooong time I have been so excited about a Nigerian player.

Hope we get the goals second half, though

Francisca Ordega is the only top notch player in our team. They can't string 4 complete passes.

I have noticed that these white footballers don't look masculine but they are tactically sound, intelligent play and tactically aware.
Okobi has seriously good technique too. But she can't show it when all she spends her time doing is defending and covering spaces off the ball.

This team is very unbalanced and playing with shit tactics too.

I wonder why people are surprised.

Life works on principles -- preparation and hard work are needed to be successful in anything.

The Super Falcons are NOT given the right treatment and preparation. Just imagine that in the whole of 2017 they didn't come together as a team to play. Then you expect them to come and usurp people that have been playing together for years in preparation for this tourney? Life doesn't work like that

Also, the NFF should stop hiring clowns in the name of coaches (the super Eagles included). If you want to hire a foreign coach go for a really sound one. Otherwise hire a local guy that will give us the same heart attacks as these foreign guys for way more less pay.

P.S. If these girls manage to find the net today, it should be considered a mini victory in itself.

African countries, apart from a few, are seemingly cursed! What kind of useless, backward leaders do we keep churning out?

When I see 'little' countries like Albania with little resources thriving so well with superb basic amenities, citizen-friendly policies, I weep for Africa.

You also know what is shocking? Our 'leaders' are not the ONLY problem (although, they are majorly the problem), us as citizens are also contributing to the backwardness of the motherland. It's so frustrating, really!

Bro, you don't know Kenyan. Y'all act as if you know them. The chicks from most part of Eastern Africa and Southern Africa are not to be joked with. A GOOD number of them are FIRE!

They are a lot more reasonable and intelligent than their male counterparts.

Generally speaking, Nigerian girls can't hold a candle to their South African counterparts. When you hear of boss lady, go to Nairobi and Southie and see ladies that are working and doing fine for themselves. They drive classy rides and are independent. Unlike the teeming number of leeches you have in Naija. It's just that we have to support our own, that's why we still defend them outside.

The goals Ighalo scored are mostly tap in and penalties . Give this Osimhen same opportunity Ighalo missed at world cup and see goals . When Osimhen scored at under 17 u guys said he is still a boy now he scored under 23 yet not ready for eagles ? Give OSI same balls given to Ighalo
I don't know how some of you so-called fans reason.

There are countries that will die to have Ighalo in their team. And they will worship him. Just loom at what you are saying "most of his goals are tap ins". What will you say about Aubameyang?

You think it's easy to move around in the D-box, escape the attention of defenders and make yourself available for a tap-in? Abeg make una dey take am easy.

Because Oshimhen (a good player, btw) scored 3 goals today he should be drafted into the senior team and Ighalo should be made to sit on the bench? Bros, it doesn't work that way. Strikers miss big goals and as long as they keep banging it in, then forget about the ones they missed and celebrate the ones they score. This issue of y'all getting hung up on the goal Ighalo missed at the World Cup is becoming annoying.

I bet you, if it was Iwobi that missed that no one would be talking about it today. But because it's Ighalo y'all don't want to give it a rest. Players are humans too, never forget that.
