This match sent shockwaves around the world.

Really?? Shockwaves around the world?? You really are a cretinous imbècile!! It is no wonder that you are NOT Nigerian because we do not have such clueless mörons in Nigeria grin grin
Ha ha ..... I thought I had read it all.... "The whole world is watching AFCON".
I am not even bother asking you which country you come from because I am done wasting my time with a half witted drama queen like you grin grin
Phahahaha!

Your biased view doesn't change the fact that it was rigged.
Shockwaves, yes. I was watching the match on German Eurosport, the commentators were absolutely furious, I've never heard commentators rage that much. They were adamant that it was fixed.

Fun fact: that was corrupt referee Rajindraparsad Seechurn's last match, the man is now retired, probably with a stack load of cash.

When Nigeria beat Bosnia in the 2014 World Cup did you cry "corruption by Nigeria against Bosnia" because the referee and line's man incorrectly ruled out Edin Dzeko's very good goal for offside?? Did you also cry corruption because the same "corrupt referees" allowed Emmanuel Emenike's obvious shove on Bosnian defender, Emir Spahic, in the build up to Nigeria's goal??
Speak the truth ArtankK. If indeed you accuse me of "supporting corruption" I want to see what your take is on that Nigeria-Bosnia (1-0) game where the referees clearly ruled in Nigeria's favour.
Dude, I'm not Nigerian, kindly save your point scoring game. The World Cup had a lot of refereeing mistakes, take a look at Italy vs Uruguay as an example. I was watching Nigeria vs Bosnia, it was unfair but it doesn't come close to the farce of a match we saw last night. Tunisia vs Guinea was definitely fixed. It was as clear as daylight. This match sent shockwaves around the world.

How do you answer this?

- Ref invented a penalty out of the blue in the dying minutes
- He then invented a bogus free kick again in ET
- EQG keeper went down and acted like he was injured for 4 minutes
- Ref decides that only 2 minutes of injury time should be played
- Ball boy disappeared
- The ball ends up in the EQG bench
- EQG bench prevented the Tunisian players from getting the ball
- Ref does nada!
- A huge brawl takes up almost all of the injury time
- Ref decides to blow the whistle before the 2 minutes are up

You are incredibly biased so I won't expect you to understand anyway. Congratulations on paying the ref *cough* I mean... Winning the game.

Equatorial Guinea really should have scored in the 82 minute when they had a golden opportunity.... it ultimately came down to the penalty. All the same the game was still tied and Tunsia had opportunities in extra time. This is football. Sometimes crazy things happen and decisions go against you. If the Tunisians want they can blame the referee but in reality, if they think about it clearly, they should have scored more goals and avoided this situation to begin with.
So just because they didn't score more goals, they deserve to be cheated like that? This is really embarrassing man.

Whereabouts did you visit? Xamar?

Yh, and you'd be able to record your expectations, trials, tribulations, and triumphs all along the way. It'll be pretty cool to look back on. In a way, I've kinda been doing something similar for the past year, but more so as a self improvement project. I don't like writing all that much tho (I think I write enough already lol), so I would take pictures, and record incidents and anything relevant (mic) at about a weekly pace, or day of.

It would definitely be interesting to read your German scribbles (grin) if you ever decide to share it.

You seem like a genuine person. Regardless of the journey you choose to take, all will be well with you.
No Xamar was a complete mess back then. I visited Jigjiga, Hargeisa, Berbera and a lot of towns and villages in PL.

I'm definitely going to start writing and taking pics/videos now, although I should have started around 3 years ago. tongue

Thank you for the kind words walal, I can only say the same. Truly hope that you join us down there, however long it may take. smiley

To be fair, anyone who is not Somali/Ethiopian/Eritrean/Nubian who has soft hair and narrow features is mixed. Black americans were enslaved and were raped by Europeans for hundreds of years. Tanzania/Kenya were places where Arabs enslaved Bantus, so their are some remnants of people who are they by product of rape. You can't blame people for assuming anyone who is good looking who is black must be mixed, when so many are in that boat, so to speak. No pun intended.
You are too predictable these days.

Amen to that. That's a great outlook, and I've seen pictures from people who've been back to visit recently so I know things are headed in that positive direction already. When did you first visit? What was it like?

I think it'll be awesome if you record your experiences as you go. Start now in your planning stages. By the time you've established yourself, you'll have your whole journey laid before you.

No idea embarassed I haven't given it a solid thought, but who knows where life may take us.
My first visit to Somalia was in 2009. To be honest with you, I was very annoyed by the amount of healthy and able-bodied individuals that rely too much on their relatives abroad or the fairy tale government who will someday wish away all of their problems. Very few people think of taking matters into their own hands and improving their lives. A small group of people can make a huge difference even if they don't have the proper resources. Anyway I jotted everything down but it is all in German lol one of these days I will translate and share some of it.

Recording everything now is actually a good idea, I can compare and contrast my experiences before and after landing in Somalia.

Just having the idea of it at the back of your mind is enough. One day, you will give it a serious thought.

I know how you feel bro. I look "African", they just think the stereotypical African is extremely dark-skinned and big lips with wide nose so people thought that's how most Nigerians look, so when i told them I was Nigerian they didn't believe me. It's really stupid lol.
White folks?

The funniest part was when a girl from Tanzania joined our class. She was really pretty and because of that they thought she was mixed. grin grin

You are just focusing on that decision. There was more to that game than the bogus penalty call. Eq Guinea scored a peach of a goal to win that game. Did you see that? Tunisia should have put the game away instead of holding on to a 1-0 lead earlier on,
You can't be serious man! He is focussing on the bogus penalty because without it, Guinea wouldn't have scored the freekick later on, they would have lost the match!
It is not Tunisia's fault, games are won by slim margins.

Wow, that's no time at all. Pretty soon you'll have your own first-hand images and experiences. That's exciting! Wallahi, more grease to your elbow walaal. I imagine an Econ degree would be of great value to you, and an in-demand contribution to boot.

Tbh, I haven't thought beyond visits. Picking up and moving around the country is one thing - and something I've considered extensively - but being a continent away is another thing entirely. And I don't know that I could procure the job I want either, etc.
I've been yearning to go back and live there ever since my first visit. In my opinion, every generation has a purpose and a legacy to leave behind. I believe that the purpose of the Somali youth in the west is to help revive their homeland and take it beyond how it was in the 70s and 80s. I hope it all goes according to the plan.

How about later on in life? In about 20-30 years time?

They are in agreement with the west in this vicious yet dynamic terror cycle.

Yousaf al Salafi, believed to be the commander of the Islamic State in Pakistan, was arrested with two others on 22 January, though Pakistan's Express Tribune reports that he was detained in December.
"During the investigations, Yousaf al Salafi revealed that he was getting funding – routed through America – to run the organisation in Pakistan and recruit young people to fight in Syria," a source told Daily Express, a partner newspaper of the Express Tribune.

No, I didn't necessarily mean language. I meant connection. Usually, it's the much older people who're more well informed of homeland happenings.
