Johnjustice: The thing is FG shares the excess saved from subsidy to governors and it ends in their pockets, with nothing to show, why not allow subsidy, so Nigerians buy cheap fuel to mobilize the informal sector, and Nigerians save more, for future investment, when they spend less on necessities...they also have extra to demand other goods and services, this stimulates economy. Put into consideration that naira has lost more than 70% of it's value so they might not have saved anything in the first place, forget grammar!! Why float the naira at this point? |

Discountsempai: Well, one thing about tech advancement is that it is subject to return on investment.
Like now, it is possible for the USA to set up a lunar base...and man it. The problem is, why spend billions for work that may not yield anything in return at that same value?
It is easy to land on the moon. But at the end, does it bring anything of value? Is it worth spending billions of taxpayer revenue for? All the moon landings did was bring back some rocks for analysis.
Space travel and exploration is expensive. That's why we don't have frequent lunar landings or a base on the moon. At the end, humans want return on investment, even governments. They must have factored all those indices before the lunar exploration and there has been several failed attempts that have not been in the public domain for some reasons. Lunar exploration is a very lucrative one if you can come up with the technology to harness the potential. If they could land man in d 70's i strongly believe that the same technology could have evolve by now. Elon musk is building a starship That is one aspect of lunar exploration n he listed alot of other obstacles that need to be taken care of which i Believe wasnt possible then. |

SenecaTheYonger: if you type ‘what does USDT stand for’ in Google you will never see United States Dollar Tether. So now tell me how a token which is printed from thin air, which you cannot buy oil with, you can’t sell oil and accept USDT as payment. You can’t pay hospital bills abroad, you can’t pay schools fees, you cannot export anything of relevance and collect USDT as payment. But somehow this is supposed to be competing with actual USD that we get from oil export and other trading of goods and services, etc.
USDT has no value outside of being a hedge for crypto coins to avoid the volatility typical of cryptocurrencies while holding funds within the crypto system. It has no real world use. But somehow, we use it as exchange rate for real actual dollars gotten from trading goods and services. You can convert it to fiat oga!! |

Discountsempai: The USA put a man on the moon. You can pretend it was a lie, but in the 1960's the USA did put a man on the moon.
Even if you don't believe, you can believe the USSR...who actually gave the USA some mementos to place on the moon (one in memory of Yuri Gargarian of blessed memory). And who were monitoring the flight of the Apollo 11 from A to Z. And who had spies all over the US industrial complex , who would have confirmed if any lying was going on. They did not.
Yes, the US has not gone back since 1972 because one moon landing cost a whole lot of money. American taxpayers of those days were sold the moon landing /tolerated the moon landing on the idea that they needed to beat the USSR In the space race. (And the USSR had an active lunar landing project. Alexei Leonov, the first man to walk in space, whould have been the first man on the moon...unfortunately the USSR was unable to fix the problems with the rocket they used). Once the soviets were beaten, funding for NASA was cut. Sad , but that's the way things are. Governments often get criticsed for 'wasting money on space exploration' (see how India got criticised by its own people for its successful Mars project...government was wasting money apparently).
Finally, there was a lot of research that went into the moon landing...starting with rocketry testing in the 1940's. Neil Armstrong, before he became a pilot, was testing spaceplanes...ie planes that were essentially flying at very very high altitudes..some even suborbital...by the 1950's. The guy did not become a lunar piliot by chance..read his biography. The oyibo we all know are progressive in terms of tech advancement so you can't tell me they will abandon that kind of investment after spending that much. Iam only wondering why it has not been replicated. From car to any tech you can imagine has been advanced since the 70's. |

obedience4: This was a commercial company, landing on the moon, check NASA has been doing moon landing for fun since the last Apollo maned landings You still believe all those tales by moonlight by nasa, you landed a man on the moon and has been struggling to land a gadget on the same moon after 50yrs. I might believe this on since it is a private company like space x. Even Armstrong didn't believe a spacecraft can re used until elon proved him wrong. |

Jewessgratitud3: I still prefer the old generation husband biko. Not all this Gen z wey dey behave like chingum boys all over the place and be talking like a woman.
Till now I fancy men in their late 40s, early and mid 50s and this is why all the 30s and mid 30s guys that came for me recently were rejected. I dislike small boys. In fact one is still Pained now because I rejected him and is been fighting me since then but me gan dey tell am say I get craze for head and no be by force to marry.
It s just natural with me. Since my secondary school days, I've only liked older men. Young guys are a big turn off. The only young guy I ever dated was my ex but he looks very mature you d think he's in his 40s then but I senior am .
Older husband for me Biko. If man hold you , you know say man hold you. No be all this one wey trouser dey pull comot for their waist wey no fit carry common hammer, rake or shovel. I love your stand but na the first idiot that abused you i will always blame. I understand from your narration someone very older than you was your first experience and your where infected with a mild Stockholm syndrome. I met alot of them like you while flowing, i could play both side depending on who i met then but the reason is always the same. |

Bluearrow: I think u should ask why tinubu floated the naira in the first place. Having a dollar at a compelled fixed rate means subsidizing dollar. Buhari was paying to keep dollar below 700. What is happening to naira is more than mere speculation. Our export capacity is zero coupled with corruption. All the money that are being borrowed are not utilized. But shared among politicians. These are the end results. Now that the nation is broke, subsidy is no longer sustainable. That tiny economic book na wetin confuse cordoso to the point of abandoning his common sense. Now you guys be complaining How previous govts where defending the naira to keep the economy afloat as if it was a bad idea, now you floated the weightless naira and your economy just crashed!! Which is better a collapsed economy or defending the naira and mind you those idiots are paying more for subsidy now. |
