Coldie: We igbos need to open our eyes and go into agriculture full force, during this covid19 era lockdown was the moment I discovered how low our agriculture output was, 80% of the agricultural produce shared as palatives came from the north. Even the leanest livestock.
We have much more fertile land, that doesn't need irrigation cause we have all round rainfall, instead of us looking for how to cultivate this land to provide jobs for our people and reduce capital flight and emigration na fine environment be our problem.
The plant we will plant would also help in the environment when it comes to animal husbandry and extensive poultry farming I totally agree with you ...however you see very large scale farming that needs hectares and hectares of land? It might not be that easy to replicate in the se apart from areas around oguta/ohaji and ngor okpala because imo state is the 3rd most densely populated state in the country and also you have factor in complicate land ownership structure which doesn't exist in the north |

Coldie: We have different point of views so we cant think the same.
I prefer 80percent of our forests cultivated and turned into farmlands than leaving it to just remain forests all in the name of beauty when its not adding anything economically to the state.
How many tourists have u seen come to IMO state to look at the forests? the forests are for your own healthy living not for any tourist whatever |

Are we looking for beauty or economic prosperity.
If u look at IMO state from google earth, u would know that IMO state is still very much back ward than most states, owerri is very small in size.
We are talking about how to develop and expand the city and u people are bordering about forest.

Coldie: Let the forest be important in other places, the economic rejuvenation of Igbo land should be our goal not forest they can go side by side...do you know one of the major reasons for erosion in the se? Yes you heard indiscriminate felling of trees because the soil is largely coarse and cover that those trees provide that counters heavy tropical droplets of rainwater has been dwindling..there is a reason we are situated in a tropical rain FOREST belt..also those forest acts as checks to rising temperatures you witness around you..you decimate forest indiscriminately all in the name of economics be ready to also have the wherewithal to counter the inevitable consequences of doing it. |

kikake: Bros. Mbaise is in Owerri.
I know the levels of urban development in Owerri and Orlu when Imo state was created in 1976. Owerri was slightly more urban than Orlu then.
Then, Orlu had a stadium, Owerri had a stadium. Orlu had public water supply. Owerri had public water supply. Orlu had many urban streets, Owerri had many urban streets.
Alvan Ikoku College of Education is what Owerri has which Orlu hadn’t.
Imo state got created and Owerri Politicians caused the location of all six new universities and politechnics in Imo state all in Owerri, nothing for Orlu. That’s fraud. Owerri develops and expands through all these institutions. As Owerri expands, every governor is constrained to invest the government funds on providing more infrastructures in Owerri.
The rest of Imo state outside Owerri, worst hit Orlu, remain backyard. Worse, Owerri people are happy for this ugly situation in Imo state.
If IMSG does not undertake development of Orlu’s infrastructures, the rancor shall increase.
It’s most stupid people who enjoy a state where only one place is developing. mbaise isnt owerri the way you always say ogboko (ideato) isnt orlu so enough with the duplicity |

Yampotatocarrot: Look at the examples you have about other states, maybe it's high time people from ORLU and Okigwe realise that they have to prop up a new governor from Mbaise for them to develop, since their own people have been disappointing them. Don't you think?... Lol lol |
