He's gradually taking the path of Rochas Okorocha aka the con artist.

Someone should ask Abagworo to explain to us what happened to Imo Air. Ibom Air is now planning to start connecting Enugu passengers to Lagos.

How Rochas Okorocha degenerated from a popular philanthropist to a full-blown fraudster beats my wildest imagination. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
before he entered politics how did hope make his money? We shouldn't be surprised

Yes it actually will make it cheaper. Also, again, you don't build with anticipation of remaining poor, that is how you end up with 1 functioning seaport serving 180,000,000 people. Many of the people on Nigeria's roads should and can be in the air. This takes pressure off the roads and reduces the amount of repairs they need, accidents we have, traffic jams, and scheduling disasters.

Lets be smart. A flight from Lagos to Owerri by Air Peace is roughly 27,000. A drive from Abia to Lagos is roughly the same when you factor gas, food and having an assault rifle pointed in your face for bribes 18-27 times if it's December. Not factoring wear and tear from bad roads, getting stuck etc. And tens and thousands of people drive from Abia to Lagos yearly. Not to mention goods brought in at the port that also needs to be driven. So what demand will an airport in Abia lack?

But if everyone that wants to fly from Abia, everyone that wants to fly from Imo and everyone that wants to fly from Anambra all have to go to Owerri to fly, you can image the impact on the cost of a ticket.

We can't approach development with the mentality of underdevelopment.
lol this your economics no follow...you build up wealth from bottom to top and not the other way around..you are also comparing about apples and oranges with the airport and seaport comparison..obviously nigeria ought to have at least 4 to 5 functioning seaports along it coast which in turn ought to be all connected to rail(freight more importantly for mass evacuation of goods)

if 10% of Nigerians aren't poor, that's 18,000,000 people. That's the population of the Netherlands which has 28 airports in a landmass the size of Kaduna State.

We need to re-frame our mentality about airports. It's a bus station for airplanes and the more you have the better for everyone. Maintenance on 1 airport and the entire SE has to go to Lagos to travel. Nigerians pay more to fly than any other people in the world because we think Airports are at a similar caliber of rarity as a nuclear power plant. If you have airport options it stops being something exclusively for 'the rich', so consider that as well.
please airports are seen as exclusive for the rich here because the average person is poor not because there isn't proliferation of airports around the country..building airports all round the country isn't suddenly going to make air travel cheap or affordable..you are simply going to create many redundant and underutilised airports..you want some majority of people can afford and like to use? Extensive rail system

Not only do you build with anticipation of being poor forever, Nigeria's population is not poor. Or better said, there are enough wealthy people in Nigeria to equal to total population of other countries.
please nigerias population is largely poor abeg..it is not even debatable

This act needs to stop. Seriously almost every meter u go u see an autonomous community with it's own king. The moment a village is becoming developed and maybe one clan is doing better than the other but the other clan is holding leadership. Next thing u know the clan doing better starts advocating to form it's own autonomous community.

This act really needs to stop, this proliferation of autonomous community is part of what's finishing land in our region.

If for example a community of 50 plots of land with amenities like church, community hall, palace, houses scattered within it, since the community has a large land mass those amenities will be scattered and their would still be lots of land for other things in the area example agriculture since it's a rural area.

But once that community divides into maybe 2 u have 2 autonomous communities and they start building their own separate Hall's, churches palace, market etc. The land keeps diminishing with no real added value to it
i totally agree with you..very useless and myopic situation

New kings and new Communities takes off in Imo state

The Imo State govt has recently recognized three new autonomous communities in the state.
While presenting staff of office to the new traditional rulers of the communities, Gov. Hope Uzodimma charged them to carry out their duties with a sense of responsibility and the rule of law.
They include;
HRH Eze Ngozi Anyaehie, Eze Imenyi of Nnananno Nkwerre Autonomous Community.
HRH Eze Dr. Geoffrey A. Nnannah, Ezeishiala of Nkwerre Opiaegbe Autonomous Community.
HRH Eze Sir. Dr. I. Anyadegwu of Eziama Autonomous Community, Isiala Mbano.

Yes now. It will be a fight of 4 men against 1 tiger.
do you know how strong a tiger is?do you even know tiger( bengal and siberian ones) are actually bigger than a lion?do you know about reflexes of an ordinary cat let alone bigger cousins like jaguar lion and tiger? Look if bjorn is without any weapon that encounter wouldn't last more than 15 mins ( if the scenario if fight to the death)..do you know a tiger claw can reach 8 to 10cm in length?..you know how long that is for a claw right?

Stop it, a single tiger or lion can't bring down a giraffe. We over rate them, they don't go for haunting individually, if they do, it's either by a surprise attack on some of those other bigger animals like buffaloes, elephants and giraffe. I have seen on natgeo where a bull chased two tigers away and they ran like house cats. They behave like this our Nigerian herdsmen who attack innocent villagers at night in groups.
please tigers hunt individually..the 2 hunting you watched is actually an aberration

Every gov from Orlu zone since 2011 build pit holes at Orlu town centre to collect floods, instead of completing the urban drainage gutter started by former governor Ikwechegh from Bende area of Abia State to channel floods into the nearby valley. No community again is obstructing them to complete the gutter to its valley destination. People’s fear that govt might abandon gutter construction was during the unstable military regimes.

After digging pit holes in Orlu, the govs and commissioners move to Owerri and construct long urban drainage gutters channeling floods to the valleys.
Next election, they talk Orlu zone, Orlu zone for support.
I am sure you would be happy now http://encomium.ng/ill-implement-recommendations-of-panel-reports-on-imo-affairs-says-uzodimma/

Your Ndaa Ejiogu, Sam Onwuemodo, both from Owerri zone, were the henchmen and ideologues of then gov Okorocha when Okorocha government built the flyovers, and later the tunnels were built in Owerri. Together with “Olu Owerri,” they pressured Okorocha with the phrase: “first build Nd’Imo a mega capital city like Dubai, after which future governors shall take care of Orlu and Okigwe areas.” Okorocha who was courting Owerri support for his political empire through building Owerri to Dubai level agreed.

You pretend you don’t know of these, abi?

The flyovers and tunnels are part of the Dubai city in the making in Owerri.
you are trying to admit rochas has no agency and mind of his own

Some shoot-my-self-on-the-feet persons from Oru-Awoomamma up to Ohaji in Orlu senatorial district would rather have all development projects of government to be in Owerri, instead of anywhere in Orlu or elsewhere in Orlu zone.

Did you not read an Oru-Awo handler here questioning why anybody would ask for removal of any development project like tertiary education institutions clustered in Owerri, from Owerri to any other place in Imo state?

One Mgbidi man, Ralph Nwosu, who is Imo Works Commissioner has refused to reconstruct any urban roads in Orlu, not even the roads given out by Ihedioha for reconstruction in Orlu. But he is proud displaying online the urban roads of Okigwe and Owerri his Works Ministry has either completed or completing.

Result: that Mgbidi-Awo to Ohaji side of Orlu zone gets nothing from government, Orlu and rest of Orlu zone get nothing from government.
this you take has no bearing if you ask me..you cabt be shouting orlu and think anywhere outside orlu no follow.. and migbidi man is more related to orlu man than egbama so dead this your narrarive..you have castigated ideato saying is not orlu because of rochas..you have once castigate egbema that it is nearer oweri than orlu and now you are now castigating people from either oru east or west? So to you now ihedioha you were critiquing is an owerri man no longer mbaise man right?

You are wise. The contractor who built this tunnel is in Uzodinma's government and well known. If indeed it is about quality of work then the contractor should be held responsible but we all know it isn't so it's all about trying to discredit an innocent man. The caption, photos and comments points to giving a dog bad name rather than laying bare an important information.

Im going to cut it down for you in very simple way.

Government does not owe you Town Hall. It will be nice if they opt to build one but they can equally opt not to. If the Town needs a Hall for community gathering and events then you pool funds and erect one.

Government promotes trade and exchange. Government owes you an airport, and it is not an option.

The knowledge and awareness deficit in Imo in 1983 led to this show of shame you are incorrectly branding with pride.

Imo people in 1983 were clueless, simple!

Im coming to Mbaise soon to see Christina. I will gladly give lecture in your town hall and open una eyes. grin
if you know the politics going on at that time you will know airport was an option in the govt at that time
