See lamentation!
Use your votes to choose the right people and kick out the wrong ones instead of blaming others incessantly. If GEJ imposes someone you don't trust as PDP candidate, then vote for APGA or any other party contesting for that position. T.A. Orji has chosen his own PDP candidate and shut out other governorship aspirants, the simple thing Abia people can do is to vote for Alex Otti who has defected to APGA and I am sure they will do it.
If incubent governors like Ohakim, Fayemi and others can be kicked out after first tenure, what is so difficult about making sure the outgoing governor's stooge or the President's imposed candidate doesn't win?
Enough of unnecessary lamentation.
SMH.
two thumbs for you guy...the lamentation is getting a bit too much in my opinion...yes we know about all these schemings but is usually our reactions?lamentation everywhere without doing nada...look at abia now that ta orji is trying to impose his stooge one wopuld expect that abia commoners would rally around lex otti who is a proven technocrat to vote him in and not just lamenting anyhow...ok after lamenting what next?huh? People are shouting ihejirika do they know that ihejirika is one of the reason t a orji came back for a second term in abia when he supervisd the rigging in orji back into power in 2011 because he felt orji was going to rub his back this time around but orji screwed him over?btw ihejirika a security expert and an otti an economics expert which one do people think abia needs more now?abeg!

Obiano an co must be very stupid if the airport should go on and be sited at Otuocha,Awka should be the prefered location.

Am watching his clannish disposition, Anambra North have highjacked everything in the state, they are getting most of the appointments and all capital projects are finding their ways there.

I saw people marking Atani Rd, i dnt know whether he's dualizing it or not because that road needed to be dualized, its an industrial road with densely populated neighbourhoods and towns.

A construction job is going on at Orlu Rd Ihiala now, the EEDC people are very hardworking here installing and mounting transformers, i saw a fire service outpost here in Ihiala along the busy Orlu Rd.

Obiano should come to Nnewi abeg, Nnewi is more economically viable than the Otuochas and Aguleris he is moving everything.

There is one big mkt being constructed at Ogbunike now, the International Mkt at Oba is mouthwatering, i didnt get their pics but i just passed there now.

I have pics but am yet to hit the cafe, the last time i did the server dissapointed me, so i might likely recharge my modem and upload from my system....biko mek una bear me.
someone correct me if i am wrong but i think you hold back that thought that obiano sited the airport at umuleri axis due to clannishness when it was during peter obis's administration that it was conceptualized at a time obiano was not even known by you.

I agree! I don't see Abia, anambara, kano and Oyo earning less than rivers state if their governors sit up.

the dude in Abia pisses me off any time I remember him.
look at what bad governance has done to aba.

if only orji had built a power plant for just ariaria market and made sure the roads to,fro and within just the market are motorable, I won't fault him.
that market alone can feed Abia,IMO and even Enugu.
it would only get worse if t a orji's stooge takes over from him.

Every sane Anambra person knows Peter obi is a fraud who spent his 8 year tenure enriching himself and companies with state funds while hiring social media jobbers to protect his image. The only undoing of TA orji is not employing many mob internet and offline jobbers to help him save his face. Peter obi cannot boast of any tangible thing he achieved in his 8 year tenure apart from propaganda. Even the monies he claimed he saved to divert people's attention is fraud. I'm glad the wool has been pulled off the eyes of Anambra people. You can see this back and forth between Peter obi and Obiano's aides to appreciate the facts.

abagworo and inyinyagbaoku two of you are right but the thing with we in the east is that at times we tend to overdo things....the low revenue allocation accruing to south east states is due to massobs thoughtless action during the last census that made the south east to be undercounted.

You're right, goggled some news sites and it was same so my question is what is left for health, sanitation and the likes..........merely 2%? I don't get it o.
hehe well shebi some guys have been clamouring that anambra should focus on specific sectors and not trying to do everything at the same time....maybe the clamour has reached the ears of anambra state government house lol...moreover i do not think sanitation can be classified as capital expenditure as i think it is recurrent.

Is this feasible or is there a mistake somewhere between punch and channelstv reports?

46 percent of the capital budget is about 51 billion.. On education alone?

I am just laughing at those of you waiting for dangote to invest in the east
Na by force to invest?
Is dangote the only industrialist in Nigeria?
What about some igbos that has their pharmaceutical industries and some other production industries at Ogun and Lagos?

I don't think that dangote will ever invest in the east because I was told by one guy working for ACF that northerners are somehow afraid of Igbo people.
The guy is from benue state but was employed by ACF to work for them because he serve as informant, his job is to travel to many different cities and towns where hausa and fulani people live to ask of their well being and their possible challenges or difficulties. The ACF normally recruit guys from middlebelt who knows how to speak at least three other nigerian language to work in that position, the person may not even be a muslim.
With steady ethnic riots that normally happen at Aba and Onitsha, where Igbo rioters always lead by massob will be burning all the properties owned by northerners.
The northern elites are always advise to build their companies at niger or chad republic instead of Eastern Nigeriagrin
So make una expect more of dangote's warehouse cos that warehouse also employ good number of workersgrin

Northerners may not be as daft as some of you think they are.

Collectively, they are the wisest.
wish their wisdom would end the almajiri issue though

it is no excuse...it was apparent that at 2011 that t a orji was incopemtent but he still foisted him on abians which means he is no different from any other politician or aspiring politician out there....thank God that 2011 scenario is unlikely this time since he is ihejirika is no longer iin charge so that abia would have a chance to elect a more competent person than a t a orji stooge.

Bath Nnaji quit his very well paid job to revolutionise the power sector in the east but one Emeka Offor is fustrating that venture on request of the Vice President Sambo. Soludo also comes to mind and even Ihejirika is fustrated by the failure T.A Orji who wants to force his candidate on Abians. Stella Odua also comes to mind though she will get the senate, which is good.

The problem is Igbos have too many lions in the house and pussycats outside in face of other groups that make up Nigeria. Ibeto must be allowed to set sail, it is over-due.

Just look at Uyo Akwa Ibom, very soon igbos will go there to fight for bread and they will repeat the Rivers Treatment of 1960s , wen will fail to take up and utilise our very rare opportunity. https://www.nairaland.com/1256550/uyo-city-peace-beauty-pictures/63
i actually have no pity for ihejirika....he was the one one with coperation from t a orji to rig orji back to power in 2011 with the hope that t a orji would favour him in 2015 only for orji to screw him over now....it simply means that ihejirika is one of the main reasons why we have a bleeped up leadership in abia at the moment.

The problem is that Rochas is a selfish politician and a confused one. Imo people believed that he will only go for one tenure to allow other zones like owerri zone to come up. But, for the facts that power intoxicates, he won't leave but will be disgraced out.
rochas is not gunning for governorship again..he has already declared for presidency...him declaring for governoship after declaring for presidency would be a dent on his integrity.

Yeah. The Mbano section used to be terrible. Ohakim did a wonderful job on the road though. But currently the road is undergoing dualization. The last time a passed through Anara, I noticed a very wide road similar to Lagos-Ore road. But, it's like the road is yet to be completed. How I wish, I'll travel this xmas, those areas will be my major point of call.
the worst section used to be the ihugbe axis just before you hit the okigwe town on the express..the soil and terrain of ihugbe is quite difficult(experiences fron fgc okigwe days)

IGBOSON1:
^^^I really don't suffer fools gladly!

I've noticed Ebonyians like making these utterly divisive and baseless statements and accusations in relation to their fellow kinsfolk from other Igbos states! It smacks of suffering from a serious case of inferiority complex and childishness!! I remember watching focus Nigeria once during the past national conference, and there was a discussion on the possibility of returning to regionalism (whether having a 6 or 8 regional structure); i remember Max Gbanite saying that the proposal wouldn't fly even in the South East because the likes of Ebonyi were not in support of it......they said they 'didn't want to return to Egypt' as Max put it! sad

In many developmental indices one finds Ebonyi always letting the South East down, and one begins to wonder just what the fuc/k is their problem! They've been free from the likes of Anambra (who i suspect is the big bad Pharaoh they're referring to) since the creation of Anambra and Imo in 1976; and they've further been freed from the likes of Enugu since the creation of Enugu and Ebonyi in 1991; so just what the fuc/k is their problem!? huh One would have thought since they're now free from their 'oppressors' that they would have soared to greater heights in education, commerce, industrialization, sports, tourism, healthcare, entertainment, etc........and that Abakaliki would by now be an epitome of urban development and modernity!

If i -from Rivers state- can champion greater cohesiveness and cooperation among Igbo states and peoples, what then is Ebonyians excuse!? I suspect that if perchance Ebonyi had been cut off from the old East Central state like other Igbo groups were in the late 60s just to weaken the larger Igbo nation......if this had happened, by now we'd have been hearing Ebonyians singing from the same hymn sheet with the likes of Ikwerre and Ogba, saying that they're not Igbos.....have nothing in common with Ndigbo.....and that Ndigbo just want their oyel and limestones and they need to fuc/k off and leave Ebonyi alone!!
the person that owns EBONY RICE mill is from imo state.
