the misconception here is that when I said 'igbo', I didn mean all igbo..
FYI, slots sells direct product. Even his refurbished phones cld be traced to the date of repair directly from the company's webbie!

Slot to me is a smart businessman who took advantage of his other cunning igbo mates and thus, sells originals...

So, I didn't say all igbo, but biliv me, most igbo are into con-markets
this is just a face saving reply...you should have indicated this your thought in the your post but of course you did not know where the owner of slot if from.....whether genuine or not slot is igbo period....did i ever say slot does not sell direct products?you are the one that boasted you do not patronize igbo biz men...is slot no longer igbo?..your last statement in this your quote is just to make yourself happy....just admit your mistake and move on

There is nothing like hypocrisy here. One cannot castigate himself as I am Igbo and never exonerated myself from our misdeeds. The truth is that I've learnt a few lessons . The major reason for my criticising Igbos land acquisition is that it is part of what forms the cold war between Igbos and their host communities.
pls abagworo enough of the this..you should have admitted to that you were equally guilty of the same thing that quote...say 'igbos never cease to learn from this land aquisition culture' without admiiting that you are active participant in what you are criticizing is hypocrisy...if you want the other igbos to learn then go preach to every igbo person you see and tell them the things you learnt about owning properties outside igboland....i am sure when you acquired those abuja properties you also did not care about the cold relationship this trait causes between igbo and other groups.

There is a clear difference between stating and boasting like you just falsely accused me above. I actually did own properties in Abuja which I consider as the effects of Igbo blood. However I've invested more now in Imo and Rivers States. I'd like you to also show me the link of where I did the "boasting" of being a "proud" land owner in Abuja anyway.
i cant give you the link now as i cant locate it...but for you to admit it means i was not lying about you owning or once owning land or property in abuja as i saw when you once wrote about in here in nairaland...whether being humble or boasting about it is a matter of semantics as that does not erase the fact if a data was processed about property ownership in abuja your name would appear...whether you have invested heavily in imo and rivers is irrelevant because some others who have landed properties in big cities around the country may also have in their state of origin too..whether effects of igbo blood or not my point is with reference to that statement you made your post i quoted is dont castigate a group of people for doing something when in fact you are doing exactly the same thing or likely to do same....it is hypocrisy...you should not have acquired that property in abuja or accepted it(if it was a gift) to stand you on a moral ground to criticize igbos.

Abagworo:
If his yardstick for measuring economic prowess is land acquisition, then Igbos have long taken control of that. My question is to whose advantage. El-Rufai who was FCT minister and had access to land statistics stated clearly that 73% of landed properties in Abuja belonged to Igbos and it was acquired through hardwork and not as Government allocation.

The case is not peculiar to the North but almost every major city in Nigeria. Igbos never cease to learn with regards to this land acquisition culture.
your last statement includes you too as you have once boasted here that you are a proud land owner in abuja.

The truth of the matter is, Rochas remains the most popular politician in Imo state as at today and it wil be a herculean if not an impossible task for any politician or even a combo of most desperado Guber candidates in Imo PDP to near defeating Rochas in any election in Imo state of today. This man is a quintessential Economist and a Banker. He revolutionized Diamond Bank in short period of time.

I have no doubt he will succeed if given the mandate to rescue Abia state.

He is leaving the Bank amidst standing ovation. A very humble man that went round the whole HO locations, desk to desk, giving his farewell handshakes to each and every staff.

The Bank would miss Otti, and is confident that Uzoma Dozie will take the bank to its journey.

All the best Sir!

With the kinda wealth I see around Dr Alex Otti, only a good quality assurance from the power brokers could make him leave his current position for Abia state Politics. Otti is mega rich and has some years to go as Diamond bank chief so I guess he really knows what he's doing otherwise...

This is the total Airport Passenger Traffic Statistics for Q1, 2014.
For domestic passengers, Owerri and Enugu ranked 4th and 5th respectively in the nation. Owerri is not doing badly at all.
On the International angle, the AIIA Enugu recorded 8,912 as against the 12,500 it recorded in the last quarter of 2013 when it began International operations with just one airline.

Single-airline fatigue I suppose huh

Chidoka should do something about this and quickly. Is anyone in the know about the Turkish airline Enugu timeline?

I think Rochas is the top contender in Imo no doubt, PDP is extremely confused and APGA's Agbaso vendetta against rochas is going to make him the candidate and he won't win. If Otti or Ihejirika take over I'll be very happy for Abia but Imo i'm weary about. Okorocha has don't nothing for the economy. Beautification and social services has been his only focus and Imo needs the same type of economy that Abia Anambra and Enugu have not just tourism
i am actually more weary about abia than imo.

Do you have a source to confirm the news about Ihejirika. I know that the owner or MD of one of Nigeriais main banks is going for the Abia seat so either way I'm happy for that state, the 2 Orjis have been a curse. I know that the brother of Tony is going for the position not Tony himself and I'm still very happy. The apple shouldn't fall to far from the tree with any family and even his brother has great credentials and an encouraging attitude towards development.

Iheancho in a better world would be our governor, and oddly enough the people want him..but the political class in Imo and the people live on different planets and they'll throw another pot belly tozo ridden thief at us as always...but there's still hope I believe. The candidates list looks the grimmest in all the Igbo states and this includes Rochas and his barbaric antics.
i know some people who are close to ihejirika and they have told me he is no longer interested in running but you you never know with politics in nigeria..the md(actually gmd or ceo) of the bank(diamond) you are talking about is alex otti however getting the ticket of the party to run is another matter...i know iheanacho is the owner of intergrated oil and gas however i am not too sure the kind of person he is or whether he would get his party ticket...feelers i get from imo though is that it might be difficult to upstage rochas

Some of the roads are Faulks Road Aba, Nkata – Alaike roads,Umuahia, Ndiokereke-Ndioji, Abam–Arochukwu road, and the Aba -Owerri road, Aba which has opened up another vista of business opportunities for Aba residents. Also commissioned is the popular Ukwu-mango road in Aba which hitherto had remained not just unmotorable, unpassable but in a very deplorable condition. Not really. The reason why they were certified high is because the cost is very low compared with other States but yet the result encouraging. Very soon the Owerri/Orlu highway will be completed and I heard it is being done with direct labour under the commissioner of works at less than 3billion for the entire stretch of about 60km. In some States, 3billion will do 3km while in other prudent States it will do 10km but in Imo it is doing 60km dual carriageway with bridge.
depends on whether the work done on thr owerri orlu road is quality.
