PoliticsRe: Obaze:Is He Obi's Man For The Anambra Job ? by asha80(m): 5:23pm On Jun 22, 2013
Odenigbo Aroli: Ifeanyi knows very well that this race is more of a battle of intelligence and brilliance and has nothing to do with buying and selling. He has already left Apga with his side kick Victor Umeh, after the later was disqualified as Apga chairman. Anybody who is fighting Peter Obi has already lost. Ngige will be disgraced and our beloved brothers in the north will take the mantle of leadership. Egbe belu,Ugo belu. Letting our northern brother to lead this time will solidify the trust, understanding and peace that is present in Anambra politics of today.
are you sure ifeanyi ubah has left apga?to which party now?

Sunny_bobo: Bloody lie. It has never rotated between SE and SW st least not since 1988 when I became conscious of the cut of marks into Unity schools. The South East has always been on top just like in JAMB performance. The data for JAMB performance (actual admission and not applications) were available from 1999 on JAMB website until Prof. Dibu Ojerinde took over as JAMB registrar and it disappeared. Also, has anyone noticed that the usual release of application statistics by state of origin after each years JAMB UTME exams wasn't done this year. Is Ojerinde trying to hide something?

Good you have the latest data for cut off which I believe is the one for 2013. Now, for last year, checkout the link below;

http://thenationonlineng.net/new/education/merit-quota-and-unity-schools/
i was not even refering to cut off marks.i was refering to where he said that ogun, lagos, osun, oyo kids have been topping common entrance exams.this reminds me of the link you provided when this cut off bruhaha came out about an examiner that said if admissions where done on merit that anambra kids would take up one sixth of admissions.if not that i am typing with phone i would have provided that link now.people should stop making statements based on conjectures.

billante: An unbiased report there! with no political or ethnically tone in it at all

from the report peter obi score card is 45/100!

we need someone that can take us to at least 70/100......i cant believe that anambra IGR is a pitiable 500 million a month with the amount of businesses going on there shocked That's unacceptable!

Aguleri otuocha area alone if maximized should be raking in 2 billion per month not to talk of onitsha and nnewi industries and businesses.
what is going on aguleri otuocha?

PoliticsRe: Obaze:Is He Obi's Man For The Anambra Job ? by asha80(m): 6:15pm On Jun 21, 2013
Odenigbo Aroli: Nwanne, daalu for your concerns and observations. Indeed,Anambra has the potentials to become an economic power and like you know you can't grow an economy on an undeveloped and disorganized environment. This is the very reason why Obi wanted to tackle the MDGS,firstly. And you may be aware that Anambra is doing excellently in her goals to reach the MDGS by 2014 but as time will have it,Obi tenure will be coming to an end by next year. Nevertheless, Obi has a plan to bring in someone ,who is familiar with the standing ideology of his governance. Someone who understands the rudiments of governance,a person who will take Anambra to her promise land. The annointed one is Oseloka Obaze...May God be with him.
the problem is that some indegenes do not know the value of those mdg projects and goals.to them is all about beautifying onitsha, awka or nnewi and leaving the rest of the state to suffer.not saying anything is wrong with beautiying a city but personally i judge the development of any state by the level of infrastrure and standard of leaving in its rural areas.any i think the court has giving a judgement no longer recognising victor umeh as chairman of apga?i know he supports ifeanyi ubah.
PoliticsRe: Obaze:Is He Obi's Man For The Anambra Job ? by asha80(m): 3:49pm On Jun 21, 2013
Odenigbo Aroli: Bros, what's your interest in this race ? You have steadily been following this race.
it is because of the potential anambra has of becoming an economic power house in nigeria that has not yet being fully tapped.well thank god obi has been able to put the state on a foundation to that(something previous administrations failed to do).the last thing anambra needs is a charlatan and unfocused person to mount the seat of governorship again(ifeanyi ubah in mind here).i have read oselokas profile but i have not seen or heard about his plans for the state maybe because he has not openly declared yet.

PoliticsRe: Ubah Tackles Obi Over Car Gifts To Traditional Rulers by asha80(m): 10:54am On Jun 20, 2013
Sealeddeal: Giving cars to traditional rulers is not a bad thing but politicizing it is the worst thing that any government will do. Gov Obi should have given these gifts to traditional rulers owing to their various assistance to the government in area of security and enthronement of peace in anambra state. But for Gov Obi to wait until the last days of his office, especially now that he has shown his effort in making his boy a governor, shows that he is ready to use traditional rulers to his political advantage and such will not augur well for anambra state as anambra state will be made to return to the dark days of god-fatherism and imposition and that necessitates Ifeanyi Ubah's harsh response to such 'greek gift'.
Ifeanyi Ubah has alot in stock for anambra state. His quest for Anambra govt seat is not hinged on personal interest but for the interest of Anambra state. I have said it severally that dyed-in-the wool politicians should not be allowed to lead anambra state again.Anambra will be led by billionaires who are already satisfied with cash and will have no reason to embezzle the meagre allocation of anambra state. Anambrarians are solidly behind Dr Ifeanyi Ubah. For those that are still dreaming of Ngige, their dream is alive but its only when you visit anambra state now that you will understand that Ifeanyi Ubah has achieved a great in-road into people's heart.
delusion graendeur.

on a more serious note in the future infrastructure should be concetrated more in rural than urban areas.the conjestion of owerri is a testament of that fact.

^^^Compare them to what Akpabio (even Obi of Anambra) constructs in his state. But as they say, 'half bread is better than non!

Though someone should tell Rochas to improve the quality of his contracts and his contractors. Can someone tell me why our contractors and builders can't seem to carry out cutting edge, precision engineered jobs with good finishing?
i think obi places heavy emphasis on rural roads hence he does not seem to joke with them...really do not want to compare with akpabio because the kind of finance akpabio can play with.i feel that rural roads by rochas is a bit of an after though unlike urban roads.

Katsumoto: And I was responding to your quote below. So I don't get the point you are trying to make. If you are asking me why the Hausa kid is not as receptive to classroom learning as the Yoruba kid, then that is a different debate. My point remains - UNITY schools were created for a reason.
and i say that reason has been defeated.anyway since the so called unity schools are almost dead nothing to worry about.

EducationRe: Cut-off Marks For 2013 National Common Entrance Examination Released by asha80(m): 5:55pm On Jun 09, 2013
Tony Spike: High cut-off mark isn't enough hypothesis to justify that some Southern States are better than other Southern States. A lot of 'miracles' happen at some of these exam centres, both at JAMB and common entrance. And yes...this is just a sampled population, it doesn't justify na-da. But why is Bayelsa State having a low cut-off mark like this?
since a lot of miracles happen can we put everyone on equal cut off? Just saying..
PoliticsRe: A 1988 NY Times Report On Nigeria's Quota System by asha80(m): 5:48pm On Jun 09, 2013
Katsumoto: No, not school. Unity schools are for a purpose; is it so difficult for you guys to understand the concept of unity schools. If Yoruba, Igbo, Edo, Efik, Ijaw, Ogoni, Itsekiri, Urhobo attend Federal schools without Northern students, then you should call them Southern Nigeria Federal schools. And yes, they would not be Unity schools because it would be obvious to the Northerners that they are excluded. That action in itself would cause more disunity.
i hope u know some of these southerners grew up in the same enviroment with the northerners you are talking about...same nursery and primary in places like kano, kaduna, sokoto etc.why isnt state residence instead of origin used here?the youruba kid and hausa kid went to the same nursery and primary school but their cut off marks is miles apart?
