Why do people like you love to spew garbage just for the sake of spewing garbage? U talk of Niger Delta like its some Paris. Biko be quiet jare. Igbanke, Anioma, Ikwerre, Ekpahia Opobo, Aro, all happen to be native people of states considered Niger Delta. Who give's a rat's ass whether Ijaw na majority there? LMFAOOOOO!!! Before u even go there don't forger we have Efik-Ibibio-Annang-Ekoi-Oron who are same people and are a majority in the Niger-delta. The Igbo groups in Edo, Delta, Rivers, Cross Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwaibom all put together are also a majority so my guy shut up about all that rubbish coz it hasn't improved your situation. Only toddlers like you yip yap about trivial issues like this. The last time I checked even Cross River state officials who are not of Igbo origin were there too. Listen as long as Igbo natives are present in your "little paradise u call ND lol they have a right to use the name and rep it too. Niger-Delta is not an Ijaw or Urhobo, copyrighted word ewu nkapi. I can understand if they said 1st Ijaw, or Itsekiri but naw they said Niger Delta which is inclusive of all Eastern people not just Ijaw. See how u called Ijaw majority without acknowledging, the vast Igbo, Efik-Ibibio population there who might not be so obsessed with using the name ND but are part and parcel of it and you can't wish em away. You call all the non Ijaw minority? When did u conduct census? Ijaw, Igbo, and Efik-Ibibio ppl are majorities in ND but you'll fail to see that coz you are simply a bigot. Your hate won't let you acknowledge em. So I'm sure people like Achuzia from Delta, Odili-Rivers, Amaechi-Rivers, are not qualified to lead in ND since they are Igbo? Igbos in SS used to act so freaking timid and were intimidated by bigots like you under the likes of Clark, Enahoro but my guy this is 2009 and u can clearly see that they are becoming empowered and no longer feel they have to hide their Igbo identity to be liked by bigots like you. Go tell em they have no rights in their own native region to conduct events, lead in politics where they are qualified to lead and I'm sure you'll regret that.

@ Udezue

pls try and c precedence, your people has brought many harm to the Southern part of Nigeria than Good, and it has cost the top post in Nigeria, if a common Nigeria is asked if an Igbo man should be the President of Nigeria, he/she will out rightly say no,

on your comment on Chief Enahoro and Clark pls re-track it or u have the MEND Hammer on your head, for God sake what good has come out of the so-called South East, , tell me please, Ujukwu or the who u want to tell me , tell me now

He has been loving me since the day we met. . . He knows I have a bf. And I love him dearly as my brother. I love his character, his heart but never as my lover but my brother. Theres something very brotherly about him which makes me respects him alot. He says that he wont force me to love him and he will face the fact that I will never love him as a lover not untill today. . .

Today, he really got upset with me. He threw tantrums at me telling me that I should be with him and that Im making the wrong decisions in life.

And you know what got me shock of my life? After what he told me, I felt scared of even knowing him. . . He told me this:- I will promise to let you go and will walk away but I will never want to see you again on one condition

I ask him what is the condition and he says this: You let me see your P*ssy and I will leave you. I wont touch it or feel it but I just want to look at it.

My jaw drop to the floor. I dont know what to think of him anymore. I dont! I told him that I feel that he treats me like a prostitute telling me to do this stupid thing. . . . . .

he said that its the only way he could satisfy his imagination of having me in his arms and. . . URGH! Honstly! I dont know what to think anymore. . . I object!

Than he says that he will nver want to talk to me again and he has sent an email to my sister telling her how he feels about me and everything else.

Education, Labour ministers escape kidnap plot
Headlines Sep 17, 2009 By Ise-Oluwa Ige
ABUJA — THE State Security Service (SSS) paraded, in Abuja, yesterday, three undergraduates of the University of Abuja and a suspected fraudster who allegedly attempted to kidnap two ministers in order to demand N300 million ransom, and force the Federal Government to sign an agreement with ASUU ending the on-going strike action.

The ministers targeted by the suspects are Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) of the Labour and Productivity Ministry and Dr Sam Egwu of the Education Ministry.

The mastermind and suspected fraudster, Abdallah Alfa (58) told newsmen that he was to offer the undergraduates N4 million after a successful operation
.

Dr Sam Egwu of the Education Ministry and Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) of the Labour and Productivity Ministry
He said they were to be mobilised with N1 million before the operation, while the N3 million balance was to be paid after the assignment.

He however said no kobo had exchanged hands before they were nabbed by the Police.
He said he was also to provide other logistics, like cars, which the boys were to use for the job.

Undergraduate suspects

The University of Abuja undergraduates who also took turns to confess to their alleged role in the kidnap plot are Kingsley Njoku Obi, Aniabor Ochuko (aka Kelly Handsome) and Chilaka Rowland (aka Peace).

Obi (23) is a 400 Level student of political Science at the university; Ochuko (27), a native of Oha Town, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta state is a diploma student of the university while Rowland (28) from Ahiabo Mbaise Local Government of Imo state is a final year student of Political Science of the university.

Although the three undergraduates and self-acclaimed mastermind said they did not have any previous criminal record, one of them, Rowland, had already confessed his membership of Confraternity to the SSS.

Leader of the gang, Alfa, who first denied knowledge of the kidnap plot, later told newsmen that he entered into the deal with the undergraduates with the aim of making money and bringing the ongoing ASUU strike to an end. huh

He said he had played prominent roles in the past to end ASUU strikes but he did not say what exactly he did.
He said his contributions to the ASUU strikes in 2003, 2007, 2008 and 2009 were on record.

Alfa, according to the SSS, hails from Kogi state, had a primary school education but he speaks the Queen’s English.

Although he faltered when he was asked what he was doing for a living, he later told newsmen yesterday that he was a businessman.

But the SSS told newsmen yesterday that their investigations revealed that Alfa is an incurable fraudster given his antecedent.

They said he was linked with a number of 419 cases in the past.

He was bold all through the parade session but he was sweating profusely.

Kidnappers planned to kill Egwu

His accomplices also explained that the agreement between them and their paymaster was to kill Dr Sam Egwu in detention and free Prince Kayode (SAN) after collecting the N300 million ransom.

The Assistant Director, Public Relations of the Service, Marilyn Ogar, who first briefed newsmen yesterday before allowing them to interact with the accused persons said the 58-year old Alfa popularly called the Ambassador who initiated the plot, recruited students for kidnapping assignment under the guise that the kidnapping was meant to end the on-going impasse between the Academic Staff Union of the Universities [ASUU] and the Federal Government.

“The choice of using students for the operation was ostensibly to make the exercise and the subsequent demands appear as if it was geared towards ending the Federal Government and ASUU crisis”, Ogar stated.

She said preliminary investigation showed that the plot was to forcefully end the seemingly unending strike action.

“While three of these are students of the University of Abuja, preliminary investigation showed that the plan was designed to serve as a forceful way of ending the on-going strike action”, Ogar stated.

She also said upon the successful kidnap of the Ministers, Egwu was “to be forced to sign an alleged agreement with ASUU.”

The suspects were also to demand the sum of three hundred million naira from the Federal Government as a precondition for the release of the ministers.

She lamented that instead of an old man like Alfa serving a role model to the younger ones (students), he “cajoled them into embarking on the nefarious act, thus capitalising on their seeming frustrations and desperations to go back to school by all means.”

She advised parents and guardians to monitor their children and wards closely to ensure that they do not fall prey to the likes of Alfa.

“While he (Alfa) hails from Dekina, Kogi state, he claims to be Hausa from Kano”, she pointed out.

She said the essence of the press briefing was to draw the attention of parents to the possibility that Alfa may have recruited other kids in different parts of the country for such criminal acts and to implore them to be vigilant.

She added that the service would hand over the quartet to the police before the close of business for necessary action.

“We have done our bit, we will now hand them over to the police for prosecution”, she stated.

i mean aren't Nigerian tired of foreigners making money in Nigeria?

Im telling you people, once the chinese start demanding increase pay for their labor, Foreign companies will come to Nigeria and start their manufacturing companies. Many people talk about Nigeria being a next hot spot

of course but the power supply will soon be solved in major cities where companies will invest, the government has no choice or the foreign investors who keep the Nigerian politicians belle full will withdraw

Its all a matter of time
.
You think nigerians are generally patriotic enough to care wether foriegners are making money in nigeria when they are also making money? In fact it is the open secret that nigerians 'worship' these foreigners.

I laugh in owerri at the second highlighted part. You talk with optimism rather than reality. With current policy of 'generate electricity and supply to national grid for distribution' seriously huh

Have you ever wondered why Lagos state has never really generated their own electricity?

Nigerians partipate in trade and import goods to be sold rather than manufacture quality goods in Nigeria. Which is why nigeria is yet to become industrialized.
The lad can be the first to change this.

lf the lad doesn't stay fine others will do it and make billions while creating new jobs, progressing Nigeria.
False.Name one industrialized country that has unstable or almost non existent power supply.Do you know what places like nnewi.aba, kano and lagos would be like with uninterruupted power supply? i do not even want to talk about policies.

Kobojunkie:
It is not a mentality. People have come to learn over time that made in Nigeria is not always worth the money paid for it. Why do you label it a mentality when time and time again, it has been discovered that our local enterpreneurs are more interested in the making of money than they are in the making of quality products and creating a good business? Must a Nigerian, out of blind love for Nigeria or the MADE IN NIGERIA logo then have to settle for low quality when he/she knows that he can equally get better quality for a decent price elsewhere?
I do not believe all are substandard or lacking in quality. Some are actually good and i can testify to this from experience. The thing is because of some experiences one might have had on a low quality item coupled with lack of belief in ourselves general nigerian issue by the way anytime we hear 'made in nigeria' the doubt mode in us sets in.

And of course it is not as if Government encourages these kind of poeple with a good working enviroment to enhance theri work and in the process quality which is why i still maintain that if the chap has the chance he should go to a place where he will find a more conducive enviroment to live his dreams instead of being 'patriotic' and watch his gift, talent or work waste in nigeria.

The point is if the young lad leaves Nigeria how will others after him learn? If everyone leaves how will Nigeria ever change?
That mentality of looking down on 'made in nigeria' would have to improve first before aything can be done period.

no need to dull any of them down. These people are not only admired by Nigerians but also world wide.
it maybe nothing new but the first of their type to PUT NIGERIA ON THE MAP WORLDWIDE.
_______________________________________________________________________________

you're missing the point
Theres no difference between being known for activisim or being known for engineering.
another Nigerian man made a car somewhere but is now in south africa NO ONE KNOWS HIM except for those in his tribe by name only.
Do you know how nigerians look down on 'made in nigeria'?
So what is the point apart from a nigerian owned or made in nigeria scientific or engineering or technology outfit.

Most of the shoes and even scandals people wear in nigeria that are written 'made in italy' do you know i can take you where they make them?Do you know why they are labelled 'made in italy or whatever'. . . . Our mentalility.

Fashola is a governor that is doing well likewise Bisi Onabanjo,Lateef Jakande,Sam Mbakwe did before him so it is nothing new.

Fela is a musician.Do not tell me he would have remained in uk to be singing his brand of music only for them and ignore nigerians. Moreover there are also great nigerian musicians of past and present that are based in nigeria so Fela's case is nothing new.

Soyinka is a literary genius same as Elechi Amadi and Cyprian Ekwensi(before he died) were all living in nigeria so his case is also not knew.

What i am talking about is scientific and engineering prowess.
