Witi: From Sir lord Lugard 1914 - 1919 to Obasanjo 1999-2007 down to Yaradua 2007- till date Nigerian leaders are all bleeped. We've got no foundation, no common interest I still don't understand the rationale behind the coming together of Hausa, Yoruba, Igbos and other tribes in 1960 because it is a failure and that made me to probe our founding fathers the likes Tafawa Balewa, Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikwe and so on. Do they really lay the right foundation for the country Nigeria? I actually blaime azikiwe for his belief in nigeria.Maybe it has to do with the fact that he was born in zungeru in present niger state and went to school in lagos. |

Set-back as Militants Blow up Gas Plant •6000mw target shaky as Nigeria loses 1000mw By Chika Amanze-Nwachuku in Lagos and Omon-Julius Onabu in Warri, 08.14.2009
Add To Favorites Print This Article Post Comment The peace process in the Niger Delta has come under threat with yesterday’s bombing of the Utorogu Gas Plant, Delta State, by suspected militants. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the latest attack, which is coming as a jolt to the presidential amnesty deal with militants. Nigeria’s precarious electricity situation – which had improved slightly to about 2,400 megawatts recently – will be further worsened as the Utorogu plant, operated by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), supplies 300mm standard cubic feet (scf) of gas, which is the equivalent of 1,000mw. The plant has now been shut down and the national power generation has subsequently dropped to 1,400mw, although the country needs in excess of 6,000mw to enjoy stable power supply. The Egbin plant in Lagos, which has an installed capacity of 1,320mw but had been producing close to 600mw in the last few days, will lose about 400mw as a result of the latest incident, THISDAY has learnt. Hopes that Nigeria will attain 6,000mw by the end of this year have been dashed as well. The incident, which occurred around 4am, may result in total blackout, it was feared in industry circle last night. http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=151585 |

That one no surprise me sha! MrCrackles: Wahala dey o. . . . I am not surprised! FBS: It's ain't confirmed yet. Odegbami Bemoans Age Cheats In Eaglets August 13, 2009 14:49 (6 hours ago), 52 views By Tunde Oyedele
Following reports that 16 players of Golden Eaglets of Nigeria are over-aged players ahead of the Under 17 World Cup, former Green Eagles Captain, Segun Odegbami, says such discovery was an embarrassment to the nation.
Odegbami, who attended the memorial match played in honour of the late Samuel Okwaraji at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, yesterday, said the incessant use of over-aged players in the junior national team in recent times cannot help the development of football in the country.
“I feel very sad that 16 out of 28 players in the Eaglets are over-aged. It is disgraceful that Nigeria cannot get players within the aged bracket.
“We don’t need to cheat before we can do well in the aged grade competition. I think for us to get credible Under 17 players, we need to focus on grassroots tourneys, where we can select players from the Principal’s Cup, Shell Cup and other school sports competitions,” he said.
Odegbami, admonished Nigeria’s football ruling body to ensure that Eaglets coach, John Obuh, selects the players within the age bracket for the U-17 World Cup, which Nigeria will host in October this year. http://thepmnews.com/2009/08/13/odegbami-bemoans-age-cheats-in-eaglets |

Is that where you are banking on nigeria's victory on That simply means we are not good enough to fight libya if we are hoping on help from 'our allies' in uk and us.And what makes you think they will support nigeria to fight libya? |
