As the western governors are buying MMIA, why can't the SE governors buy AIIA Enugu...Get Igbos in diaspora with foreign partners and build world class international airport there. Also get all approvals so all flights can come to the east...even if it has to be one-weekly...until most easterns will learn to fly from Enugu and not Lagos or Abuja. Passengers from Delta and Benue could route their flights from Enugu instead of Lagos or Abuja which are farther.
Purehuman: Western governors will be soon buy out MM airport in Ikeja. By far the busiest in Nigeria. Northerners will look for one thing to buy in Nigeria but we will still be building 1km road leading to nowhere or better put, beautify one roundabout in one village.
should se governors buy ph airport since that is the nearest that is near that is up for concessioning?
Cooly100: Flyover is not only for convenience... but aesthetic...
The capital city should have a budget while the rural areas are developing. I have not seen a single major project in Enugu for 3 years now.
you mean enugu city here?a bit strange if so..however like I said if development and infrastructure in the east was done strictly according to the settlement pattern there will be no need to build any flyover there
Kingsley10000: don't be a sycophant, you are part of the reason why igbo governors are corrupt.do you know the size of kano? it's almost the size of all 5southeasten states put together in terms of land mass...so don't compare the infrastructural strides in kano to any south eastern state.out of 44lgas in kano,22 is a standard city which is almost the size of enugu and anambra
Cooly100: The major problem we have also is following up on signed MOUs. Teams from South Africa have visited Enugu to build a coal power plant. Another team has visited to build about 5000 houses...etc, etc but years after signing, nothing is happening. A power plant has just been completed before scheduled December date in Edo, to generate MW 450 of electricity.
I don't know the issues we have in the east, especially Enugu where the governor is only interested in the rural areas.
your last statement here is often where we make mistake here in the east..I have my own beliefs about this development of a thing..if we don't not take into cognisance the natural settlement of east we will keep making mistakes..if development was done strictly according to the settlement pattern in the east there would be no need to build any flyover anywhere in the east
Kingsley1000: you need to travel out.leave ur village and tour kano...'m an igbo if u dont know.ours politicians are the most corrupt in the whole world
so says the guy that wanted Tony nwoye to become governor of anambra state..
WarriAproko: Wow. And my state a 10km road will cost 10billion naira. Were did we go wrong in delta
though I believe there is padding to the road infrastructure you put up here but building roads in some parts of the delta is far more expensive than other parts of the country because of the terrain
Incredibleme: Bro there is nothing bitter about the hospitality boom in owerri. It's an industry and we are gradually going ahead, with the coming of Marriott, owners of protea hotel and the recent increase in shopping malls. Take a cue from Suncity in South Africa or Las vegas in Nevada US.
Mind you in the state of Navada, Las Vegas is their major income spilling machine, if you know what I mean.

well it remains huge casinos and gambling centers don't you think?by gambling I don't mean bet9ja types
tbaba1234: Just watched Obinna Nwobodo's highlights, he still played on the left contrary to reports that he played behind the striker. He scored a beautiful individual goal and looked dangerous on the left.
Nobody here gives a single sh!t what you think Who really cares about your stomach ache over people's properties? Buildings are dynamic. If Owerri's economic drive changes direction, hotels can be converted to office blocks, hospitals, schools, even residencies.
Put in your own stake and invest in properties too. I repeat: no one here gives a hoot what you think.
Kog45: Yes Martz had a balance view but you know what those who always pointing accusing finger at .................are real culprits when it comes to tribalism and the discussion had exposed a lot, only God can save Nigeria.
Mujtahida let's go back to football,Ezenwa is injured right now with the same ankle injury that ruled him out against Morocco at CHAN final and a second choice to Dauda at Enyimba,a WC bound keeper as second choice in NPFL look somehow
sorry to derail again but Martz made a fatal error when he included some states like enugu in that assertion.nothing balanced there.
is there anyway of following up in this intervention funds for the 500km of rural roads to be done by rural access mobility project RAMP enugu? this was posted on 29 September last yr on YouTube.

Afam4eva: In 2030, Anambra will be a conurbation because the level of developments that i'm seeing in the nooks and crannies calls for a serious concern.
tbh if there was an active port in onitsha and active rail passing through onitsha to awka enroute enugu and another passing through onitsha to nnewi towards aba it would have been an urban conurbation by now.
Abagworo: Say the truth can you live in Onitsha, Awka, Aba or Nnewi? Personally I can manage Umuahia but nothing on earth can make me live in those other towns you mentioned.
by the way something is not right somewhere is the money spinning or making towns are not looked into like the administrative towns..seems like wrong priorities for me.
Abagworo: No comfortable man can live in those towns except he is there to earn a living and manage the noisy and filthy clustered environment just because of low class business. Enugu, Owerri or a rural area will do.
comfortable and educated people used to live in aba in the 80s until the city was abandoned and made decrepit..other wise aba is actually more of a planned area than owerri..if the same amount of focus is placed on aba the way it was placed in owerri aba will beat owerri hands down
Cooly100: This is a backstreet neighbhood with narrow roads. I don't thing there would be enough space for all that except some structures are demolished.
there should have been drainage on the left side though
Abagworo: You're right about APC candidacy but going by the people playing around like Ike Ibe, Frank Nneji, Emeka Ihedioha, Ikedi Ohakim and others do you believe any can win more than one LGA in a free and fair election against Uche Nwosu? This is apart from the fact that he has added advantages to the love Imo State youths have for him. Okorocha is not the one pushing Uche but rather the youths are. Try to investigate privately to confirm and it cuts across all parts of the State.
oh please spare me this talk that is 'youths' and not rochas pushing him.
Abagworo: Don't waste your vote like Jonathanians of 2015. APC is 100% certain of winning Imo State with Uche Nwosu. Nobody or party has the support, resources and intrigues to get up to 20% votes.
uche nwosu being the candidate of apc is not yet a settled matter..as for rochas pushing his son in law to be a governor and his daughter being the next first lady is very funny
spyder880: Yes, but those palms weren't planted to grow by anyone. This area used to be a bush with a small road passing through for over a hundred years.
mehn discovery of crude oil really finished this country
tbaba1234: Ebuehi was left out of the ADO team this week due to injury. My man has not fully recovered from his injury. This supports the view that he was not 100% during international week.
i hope this will not be a long term thing oo..groin injury is not that easy to get over with
