If you say so, but it becomes part of why total commitment to national team is just average these days. It's this mentality that Argentina and Brazil had when we met them at Atlanta 96. We also have careful players too now.
i disagree with you here..those were tournaments not friendlies..are you suggesting that is the reason we beat them then?right from time players(especially top ones) generally do not give their best in friendlies..what about messi defying barca to represent argentina in 2008 olympics?

some people notice his gloomy face, every player want to feel wanted, I'm sure he will be wondering if he made the right choice, Holland are building a new team and won't mind having an option
this kind of says otherwise but i agree it does not remove the danger of holland trying to lure him back if he does not play competitive football for us in russia.

that is why we shouldn't read too much in these friendlies results..

That's what we need in that team aside Mikel, instead of recruiting multiple DMs
errrm i actually complain about lots of DM in our team but thinking about it that is what is available..recruiting makes it sound like this is club football where one recruits players but in in international football you make use of what is available to you

shehu will struggle with a team that play from the wings, his very slow, very good player but he look like a time bomb in the RB position, that foul could have been a penalty in some case, Ebuehi play that position so effortlessly, it comes natural to him.

That said, Ebuehi should be our preferred RB, I'm still scared if Holland will tap on him, remember his yet to make his competitive debut, and Rohr for reasons I don't understand don't really fancy him, he played shehu in the Algeria dead rubber match even when shehu was suppose to be banned from the match for 2 yellow cards.
this is something i am also worried about.

I have always said it, Musa and Simon are no cerebral players. Nice runs from Musa yesterday but he can never give that final pass wisely. Just see how he wasted that counter initiated by Onazi because he ran without his brains hence running past the ball and running himself into an offside position. Dude is whack and annoying
i cant say for simon but musa yes..but why would a striker not try to engage his brain?

Ebuehi is more intelligent than him. Just by mere positioning he sniffs out danger. The boy plays with instincts. Even though he's not fully fit he still gave a good account of himself.
i wish he starts against serbia..he should be fully fit for that one..maybe gets substituted in the second half

The type of opposition we met also affected our overall play, in addition to Mikel's absence. The Polish were so physical, didn't expect that from a European side. This affected Iwobi and Iheanacho who are no gra gra footballers. Again, is it just me or the turf was not really good? I noticed the ball was bouncing kinda.
should expect such if we meet france

Argentina Coach Sampaoli Threatens To Drop Dybala, Icardi From World Cup Squad

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Paulo-Dybala.jpg

Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli has hinted that Paulo Dybala may miss out on the 2018 World Cup squad in Russia after the Juventus forwad failed to improve on his national team performances.
Dybala, who was left out of the Argentine pre-World Cup friendlies against Italy and Spain, has failed to replicate his form at club level for the Albiceleste.

The 24-year-old has fired blanks in all 12 games for Argentina since he made his debut in 2015.

Sampaoli revealed during his pre-match conference ahead of Friday’s clash against Italy at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester that the Juventus forward has not replicated his club form for the Albiceleste.

“We thought Paulo was a top player, but so far he has not shown it,” Sampaoli said.

“It will be hard for Dybala to get used to our style.

“We couldn’t improve his performances and we have to evaluate if the current players are better than Paulo or if we’ve to keep working with Paulo to improve his performance.”
Sampaoli added that he is frustrated by Mauro Icardi’s inability to replicate his Inter form with Argentina.

“Icardi’s situation is similar to Dybala’s. The comparison between Icardi’s performances at Inter and with Argentina is not the best,” he added.

Argentina are in the same group as Nigeria at the World Cup, along with Croatia and Iceland.

I am very certain we will either win or come out tonight with a draw (bookmark this and quote me after the game).

Our wins against Argentina, Zambia, Algeria and Cameroun are no flukes. It is true that we have not played an European team (until tonight) which would proffer us the opportunity to gauge our tactical strength as European teams emphasize on technicality.
Albiet I have faith in the team and from what many have observed we no longer play our traditional style of football. We are technical. We play to our strength. We actually play European football now and we have fund a way to mix it with our traditional attacking threat and rawness.

We are at par at the moment with what technical capabilities many European teams may have to offer and I can guarantee that in technique, we will cancel out most European teams. Our edge over them will be our raw attack.

Like I said, bookmark this and quote me after the Poland and Serbia games. We will do well in all five. (Poland, Serbia, England, Croatia and Iceland).

However with South American teams I admit it may be a different story grin grin grin
i actually fear european teams than south american teams whenever we have a good nigerian team

The zoo estate, sometimes called the zoological gardens in Enugu was built right on the spot where Enugu had a zoo. There were a lot of wild animals in the zoo, lions, zebras, pythons, monkeys, deer and antelope species were showcased in the zoo for visitors to watch. I was taken there by my mum as a child and we saw many animals.

Governor Chimaroke Nnamani closed the zoo and shared the lands in the zoo as residential area, since the area is in the centre of the city, the value soared and only rich people could afford to buy or build there now. There are senators, governors and very heavy business men as neighbours in zoo estates. Sales started from about N3.5m in 2002, but you may not find a plot below N100m inside the estate today.

The streets inside zoo estate are all named after animals, you will see Lion avenue, Zebra street, gorilla boulevard etc grin
not sure that move by chimaroke was a good one.

on onyekuru i am sure he would have been invited for this friendlies if not for his present injury..he has started running and training again(if you follow him on twitter or know his handle you will see it)..so maximum 3-4 weeks he should start playing again..whether he is going to get a last shot invitation to the pre world cup camp is another issue only him can answer.

But English fans over the years have acquired global acclaim for being the most boisterous. In fact it's said that a tournament has not began until they show up.
yes they can be quite boisterous but if you follow Twitter and social media for people from there is general for the past 2 decades you will notice a good level of cynism of their people towards their national team and is usually how unenthusiastic they are about international breaks

How time flies.

Long gone were the days Nigerians are pissed off because of International breaks. All they care about was club football.

Very few then long and savour for the break so they can see their players sing the national anthem with pride.

But today, the story has changed. The SEs of Nigeria are now the fans favourite. All thanks to Amaju pinnick led administration. All thanks to coach Rohr and his technical crew. All thanks to the players who have found pride in putting on the GWG and finally All thanks to the fans/supporters who have stood with the team through the thick and thin periods.

God Bless The Super Eagles!
God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
on your second paragraph English people are a bit like that now too..I think that happens when a national team isn't living up to expectation
