Icon79: LOL. This is NOT good news to all the football agents we have in Nigeria and abroad
But a good move by Rohr. Like I had said in the past, I don't see Rohr inviting more than 2 or 3 new players to fortify a few weak areas.
O pari since midfield is not really one of our weak areas now maybe curtain closed for joel obi this june |

tbaba1234: Experience builds confidence but some of the best keepers in the world today got their opportunity when they were young.
If the keepers prove to be good quality and are naturally confident then you want to help them build that confidence.
Akpeyi is an experienced keeper but he is terribly shaky. I can not in good conscience recommend him if we have a younger quality keeper with more confidence.
If Aiyenuba is still in good shape, he could also be tested in friendlies as well. casillas in 1999/2000 comes to mind |

Now I see why the white skin is far ahead the average black. How many of our local coaches would have thought of giving Uzoho a personal coach?...
How many would have been involved in several loan and transfer moves to get most of our players playing time?
Nice choice of coach by picnnick! you see as e talk about personal coach for uzoho since e recognize his abilities and that he requires assistance as per heading to a world cup |

2. There will be new names that will be tried out against Poland and Serbia (Maybe Joel Obi, Maduka...etc)

Despite having a good season so far, I am still yet to be sold on Ernesto Velverde to be quite honest with you. I have exactly the same feelings about him as I have about Luis Enrique ... even though Enrique was getting results, I still noticed that the team wasn't technically up to par. And surprise surprise, he eventually got found out.

Mujtahida: England never achieved much with Gerrard and Lampard despite the fact that these were two of the greatest midfield Generals of the modern game. England almost always fielded the two of them. I presume their thinking would have been like: 'yeah we have the two best midfielders, we must use two of them all the time'. Maybe if they had the courage to drop one for the other as sub it would have given room for a different kind of player with different ability to add something to their game rather than Gerrard and Lampard who were basically the same kind of players. exactly |

bengine: Thanks bro for your wonderful post..I would sure check it out on YouTube..if you field the same 11, you would get roasted so fast..
Even Mikel that is currently our general and the only guy that dictates the pace of our game for our team is being watched already and I won't be surprised if our opponents are already planning to neutralize him..Even me as a Nigerian fan, I know Mikel doesn't like to be pressed when on the ball..if I can notice this, don't u think our opponents already know this..
Only Dynamism and unpredictability can make us survive in this day and age of intensive data collection.. everybody dey collect data, if it was 25years ago, ppl won't really know how high ndidis's tackle rate is..but thanks to data, we can see the kind of monster he is developing into.. actually the tactical aspect of football have always been improving as time passes..in fact it was this tactical improvements early late 70s and early 80s(especially in European teams) that nailed the coffin of Brazilian jogo Bonito brand of football after the 1986 world cup. |

Kog45: ....meaning Onazi is a problem and Ogu is a solution to Ndidi level of performance on the field but national team is not a place where one player determine the functionality of other player.
They are professionals and no matter what they must be solid irrespective of whom they are paired with,so the issue of Onazi - Ndidi combo is becoming over flog and we need to take it cool on these guys especially Onazi.
Ndidi had a slow start in eagles and Onazi is not the issue,no need to blame any player for others, even in Leicester we are seeing greatly improved Ndidi, let's see what would come out of upcoming friendlies, then Rohr would decide on his team but for now it's Ndidi - Onazi combo. actually it happens often in some countries..in brazil now there is a debate on desirability of pairing casemrio and fernandinho..let us not also forget the lampard gerrard debates when they were at their peaks. |

Mujtahida: I don't think Ndidi and Onazi gell well. They've played together but there's something cranky, something not so seamless about their combination. I think we would have the hard choice of using one of them while the other sits on the bench. Ndidi has never really played well with Onazi. Always plays brilliantly when paired with another player (Ogu)
Ultimately it depends on the opponents we face on a particular match day. i think this is because while ndidi and onazi are the roving types, ogu just sits deep allowing ndidi to do the roving |

TheSuperNerd: ANS Opinion
How The Super Eagles Could Line-up At The 2018 World Cup
As the start of the world’s biggest soccer competition draws near, many football loving Nigerians both home and abroad would begin to wonder how best the Super Eagles could line up against oppositions.
It is no longer news that we have been drawn against football powerhouse Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.
I believe for most games in the completion the Super Eagles will line-up with a flexible 4-2-3-1 formation. I take a look at how we can field our players.
Goalkeeper: Rohr invited the young goalkeeper Francis Uzoho to compete with Ezenwa. Although, Uzoho impressed many with his calmness and ball distribution in a friendly against Argentina, Ezenwa would still be a better choice
Back Four: I believe the two center backs need no altering, both Ekong and Balogun keep delivering when it matters. Provided there are no injury issues this would be the best partnership we can boast of. The fullbacks might be a tricky one as it depends on if we the boss decides to go for a flat back four or the more modern one. Ola Aina can fill in at left back or we can get Brian Idowu to do the job if need be. At right back it is going to be a tough one between Shehu and Ebuehi, not forgetting that Aina could also play that role.
The Double Pivot Role: We could have Onazi and Ndidi or Ndidi and Agu or Agu and Onazi. But I will stick with Onazi and Ndidi, they have both done it together in the past. Like we all know experience does matter.
The Hole: This best suits Mikel Obi, where he can apply his experience and short passing attributes. One man many seem to be forgetting is Joel Obi. If indeed the gaffer needs am extra body in the opposition’s box , we can count on the Torino man. I am not saying this is Joel’s best position but he brings lots of creativity with his game and we do not want to disrupt an already gelled double pivot partnership of Onazi and Ndidi.
Winger and Inside Forward: If you have played a lot of football manager like I have, you would agree with me that these two work well in this system. Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses would be my pick.
The Frontman: Hopefully Iheanacho. Not having the best of seasons as we would have hoped, but you can’t take away his brilliance. This looks like a good fix, but the gaffer would have the duty to decide how he lines the team up. Hopefully we get a shot at the tournament that still eludes Africa.

skye bank or sterling bank?unless he wants to widen the road but so many buildings would be destroyed if that is his intention..i agree with you that wetheral is the most solid road in owerri justineu: he's planning to demolish the road. He has started the demolition from okigwe rd(Skye bank) going to wethdral. Wethdral road is the only solid road we Av in owerri presently so I don't see any need for that. |

Tell me of any Governor apart from Akpabio who has changed a one road city to a double lane city? Imo State is not a rich State but Okorocha succeeded because of wisdom. Below are photos from construction of roads in Orlu. which road are they doing this underground drainage? |

not sure how a group of players playing together for the national team for around 6 yrs(not saying that is even the case for super eagles now) should actually be an issue if they players are playing well together...a good crop of that Romanian team to USA94 played together for about 6 yrs according to an interview hagi gave some yrs ago. |
