Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Demands Too Much Money by Ashawoman82: 3:29pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Naijagram: Seeking your thoughts, everyone!!!
I work as a salaried individual and earn around 400k monthly.
However, my girlfriend constantly asks for money. I give her almost 100k every month and she feels it's not enough for her. She's even voiced discontent, suggesting I only send her money when she explicitly requests it.
I'm beginning to suspect her motives, as she seems solely focused on my income.
She never suggests saving or helps in cutting costs; her primary interest lies in spending everything. Despite my genuine love for her, I can't keep up with her demands. I had hopes for our future together, but it seems unlikely now.
I'm considering a breakup as a solution.
Has anyone navigated a similar situation? why can't guys of your calibre stay away from broke girls , I earn 1/4 or what u earn but I have no business dating poor jobless girls that love billing dude use your sense na.....as a comfortable guy you shouldn't be desperate for girls , take Ur type and select girl of your class to date you'll understand how sweet such relationship can be ...bro use your head, forget fine face boobs and ass, there's more a man need to look for in a woman ..there are a lot of single working class women desperate looking for men, they don't need any man money cos they are comfortable, those are the kind of women you should roll with.. |

IamDora: Useless men, all they know how to do is complain complain and complain all the time
Watch how his fellow useless men will avoid this thread or create excuses for him, but when the table turns, they start insulting and talking down on the lady without knowing her side of the story,
The way NL men reason sometimes leaves me in awe, sometimes I wonder if most of them even experienced a mother's love. They insult us 2.4.7 yet slide-in to our Dms with alternates.
Alpha Nonsense online, mighty simps offline don't we have right to complain? Hello, are u on this planet , all over social media women complain, infact for every male that complains about 1000 women will complain countering it, it's a known stats. |

Zonefree: Must be skit.
No African mother will reject a successful son unless she's a witch.
The joy of every mother is to see her sons progress.
So, a 22 year old 200 level student should be broke and poor in Nigeria? I bought my first land in 300 level.
This is the problem with Nigerians. The reason police profile a young boy driving a car as yahoo boy.
Young boys are making money without yahoo. Yahoo is not the only means of making money online.
As a student, learn a skill while studying. Don't always depend on your parents. oga shut up, some of u will just say jargons all in the name of sounding woke, shut up and stop the hypocrisy...we are in the poverty capital of the world and for a poor boy who was sent to school to suddenly not just afford a ride for him self but for his mum is very suspicious..I dislike ppl like u, u know the truth but u will rather choose to be a hypocrite...which legit business wouod have made him afford this while in school eh .. |

Klass99: Lol , on the contrary I like men, sensible and responsible men, I also like the male anatomy and the differences between our bodies. I believe heaven knew what they were doing when they created us male and female. It is funny how every female opinion that does not gel well with you guys is always attributed to feminism.
What I don't like is lazy and entitled men/sons who don't want to do anything reasonable with their lives, while laying claim to their father's properties and waiting for a time when they can inherit them. Are their hands broken or their brains malfunctioning, that they cannot toil for their own properties?
You know what I said is the truth! Some of you have male siblings/relatives who are like that or you may even be the sons causing parents grief and sorrow, with your nonsense and stupidity, while living in their homes at over 30 and 40 years of age. I have two male cousins like that and one of the neighbourhoods where I grew up has more than one household experiencing what I said. what about lazy women who are waiting for a man with a house to marry them, are they forbidden from getting their own house ..is it that success is just meant for men ? , Y will a failed woman be tolerated but an average guy be criticize despite that he's far better than the failed woman....for eh, I'm sure u don't have up to 50k in Ur account but Ur likes will still have effontry to broke shame a guy earning 300k monthly...all over the world or even Ur environ can u compare the number of successful women to that of men? , For every successful woman there are over a thousand successful men to counter her so shut the Bleep up ok . |

Fountainofyouth: You quoted me 3 times yet lack basic comprehension and understanding of my comments
What has riches got to do with dragging and having disputes over inheritances? It's a mentality, a crass mentality
Poor people don't kill family members for properties? I hate repeating myself but are there not countless cases of men killing themselves over fathers properties from the rich to the poor? Countless threads on here by men over disputes on properties? Why drag and create enemies or kill each other over land and house when you can make something for yourselves? And they are mostly by men, very disgusting behaviour, even Op couldn't reply a comment that asked if he's an only child which means he isn't, so there will be a property and inheritance issue between him and his siblings in the nearest future
So many slow people on nairaland, very annoying, since you lack understanding, resist the urge to quote me, I can't be repeating myself countless times. u are simply an idiot, just look at the criteria u are using here...ode, don't women kill their fellow women cos of men? , Does that mean I should generalize it, otondo, u are just a bittered feminist...I pity u , time is going Ur eye go soon clear, emphatically I'll tell u this, u can't live without a man, like it or not it's facts . |

Politics › Re: Cost Of Living In Nigeria Is Cheaper Than UK Or US by Ashawoman82: 8:21am On Dec 04, 2023 |
psalmsjob: I'm posting this as a response to the topic that made Nairaland front page yesterday; "See What Someone Bought With An Hour Minimum Wage In The UK £10", the link: https://www.nairaland.com/7929193/see-what-someone-bought-hour
UK & US ARE OVER-RATED NIGERIA IS STILL BETTER in terms of cost of living see a practical example why doing a price comparison: 1 pound to 1 naira today is N1,001 so are you saying with £10 x N1,001 = N10,001 you cannot buy everything in that basket and collect change in Nigeria today?
1 Sliced Bread = N800 2 Spaghetti = N1400 1 Gesha = N600 1 live chicken = N3,000 1 75cl soya Oil = N1,400 1 Midium size Butter = N600 2 Gino Tomato paste = N1,000
Total = N8,800 so your change is N1,200 that's if you exchange pound to naira at offical rate and buying at the most expensive stores or high brands. If you exchange at black market rate and buy at public market "days" you will collect as much as N6,000 after buying everything in that basket....that's about £6 left.
LET'S JUST THANK GOD FOR WHAT WE HAVE AND STOP LOOKING AT AND GLORIFYING ANOTHER MAN'S LAND MORE THAN OUR OWN....OUR OWN NA OUR OWN O what can u buy with 1 hr of Ur own wages or salary . |

BRATISLAVA: You see their MONEY and ACHIEVEMENTS as something. But as women, you and all the other male posters here see them as nothing. It is why those are your only examples of what you consider women (actually just money and it's appearances in female form) and not the ones around you.
And that really is why there's opposition to what the OP posted. But you would expect to be respected by women for nothing other than just being men.
If you can't understand that, then the conversation is over. Thank you. same applicable to men , achievement and success is the only criteria that can make anybody stand out , not just giving birth, animals give birth too..abeg go and rest , look at the way u are misinterpreting my comment ...I said what I said if u feel pregnancy is the ultimate thing u bring to the table and and such u don't need to bring another thing, then u are not a virtuous woman, u are a woman of no value. |

Politics › Re: Who Founded Lagos: Yoruba Or Binis? Oba Of Benin’s Claim Stirs Controversy, Agai by Ashawoman82: 8:48pm On Nov 28, 2023 |
Tzar: Whoever is too lazy to research history should STFU. There was mainland Yoruba land that spanned current SW Nigeria, Kwara, parts of Kogi, most of Benin Republic and parts of Togo. Lagos island (isale eko) which was first named internationally by portuguese and later explored by the English is 5-10% of current Lagos. This part was initially inhabited by very few wandering Yorubas from the mainland. Most of This parts was sacred uninhabited land used to worship OLOKUN and to do some sacrifices from Yoruba mainalanders. When the FREED SLAVES that still remember thIer Yoruba heritage requested to come back yo Africa , they were dumped on LAGOS ISLAND. When mainlanders invaded them, they requested Benin king to help them. This king from the last child of Odudwa who felt marginalized, sent warriors who conquered land for the helpless islanders. Then they set up an outpost called Eko. But when the rest of Yorubaland decided to challenge this, the Benin monarchy decided to relinquish total authority, but demand homage from the EKO (lagos island) king. Until this was stopped much later. This was the history! lol..how did u know this. |

BRATISLAVA: I think it's not about value to you, but that even if a woman had all the PhDs and money in the world, you would still see her as nothing.
The value isn't in the woman.
It is in the man's ability to acknowledge it beyond his ingrained biases.
BTW, that is what you think and that is why you are voicing it, though to seem like it is my suggestion. It's YOUR suggestion. so u think I see okonjo iweala and alakija as nothing? |

mariahAngel: Whose name do the children bear? Whose descendants are they? Whose lineage do they keep alive? 🙄
If a woman bore 5 sons for her husband, and her own father had no son, will her husband give up one of the sons to her father? Will her father demand to have at least one of the sons of his daughter bear his own name?
So yes! They're more your children than hers. u are not being realistic sometimes I cry at the mentality of u nairaland women, I suspect it to be cruise though cos I can't imagine how an adult has to be intentionally this stupid |

Maybe you and that guy can explain it. there are more riskier " occupation" than giving birth, that's what he's saying since u see child bearing as an occupation. |
