Do HbsAg first and if it negative no need to do the HBV at all because HBV is to check the load of Hep B.
HbsAg is 4k2 while the HBV is now 13k all the way from 35k Wow Eyah Didn't know this o, lol But the hbv was given alongside mmr, tho mmr is 2 doses, hbv was 3 doses. And it wasn't up to 35k at luth. About 14k for both. |

Meningitis was 6500 single dose. The we're taken in stages, monthly. Both the hbv and mmr were about 14k. Started taking it last year as I was told it's not s single dose. They signed my school form for 1k. 1 Like |

Thank you bro, The i20 form states Chest xray and TB and yellow fever immunization.
Which hospital do you do your and how much were you charged? @ observant my school requested for something similar, I did my yellow fever immunization at Port health close to MMIA, turning by the right. They gave a yellow card that was signed. Can't really remember the amount but it wasn't up to 2k,go early cos they write names and call according to number. I did the rest of my immunizations at Luth. Meningitis, MMR and Hbv. |

masquellett: Profile: GPA: 3.61/4.00 GRE: 291. School: Kean Uni, NJ Course: Computer Information Systems (Ms) So, I woke up by 3am, prayed to God and started preparing for my interview at 9:30. My dad was going towards Lekki so he dropped me @ the embassy, saw those sharp embassy guys @ the entrance, trying to break the windscreen in other to get me to snap passport or staple my passport on my docs. I totally ignored the guys like plague and chilled till it was time to call the 9:30 appointment time crew. Along the line, I was sent back to go drop my flashdrive, which I didn't know was on me. Went back and threw the flash somewhere and rejoined the queue. Got in, passed all the screening exercise and was on interview queue. Actually, I wasn't praying for any window, but the VO in window 9 was just sharing blue paper like gifts. I kept my chill. Finally, I heard next and went straight to window 4. The following conversations occured.
VO: hello gud morning Me: good morning ma (I tried to smile but my cheeks didn't allow me, maybe I was scared or something) Vo: pass me your ds160, passport, i20 and sevis, (passed all). *kept calm* Vo: why are you going to the US? Me: to have my masters degree in Computer Information systems at kean uni, NJ Vo: why kean? Me: kean is one of the best public schools in the US, they have gud research facilities and also I got a GA position where I will be working with Prof. James Collins on his research on cyber security Vo: how did you find out about the school? Me: I made my research based on cybersecurity, using google, usnesw.com and gradcafe.com Vo: who is paying for this? Me: I got a GA position and my aunt will be paying the rest. (na so another round of drilling started) Vo: did you write any standardized exams? Me: yes, I wrote GRE, had 151quant, 140verbal and 3'.5 anw (vo stops typing and was just looking at me, I tried to smile again, but my cheeks just stand still) Vo: why did you think you got the GA? Me: I guess the school was impressed with the quality of application materials I submitted. The minimum requirement for GA position is GPA 3.25 while I had 3.61. Vo: what did you have in your bsc? Me: Computer science Vo: when did you graduate? Me: 2013 Vo: what have u been ddoing? Me: I work with The Bells secondary school as a system administrator, my duties are update of schools website, maintenance of computers and management of students exam results using edalaf software Vo: how many schools did you apply to? Me: 3, kean uni, uni of akron, ohio and university of ibadan nigeria. Vo: why kean? (again? But I don answer dis question before na? I sha talk something again) Me: because I will be working on a research topic with Professor James Collins and I was also offered a GA (She was typing and typing and typing for some minutes, I just dey pray for my mind) next thing I heard was "I will be approving your visa". I just went deaf. I didn't hear anything again. I walked out of the hall majestically.
Special thanks to Lagosismyhome( your the real MVP mam, God bless you, I will make sure my kids appreciate you too, stay blessed) , Walspring, imperiouxx, texrem, Oludare1, dickoflife, Ashbammy(my NJ partner), slimmy2005( even with all d abuse wey u abuse me, I still love you), femi234, gunther6 et Al. Unipenn as in Uni pennsylvania That one of the best uni in america and ivy league... how can you choose Msu over unipen.... nobody will buy your excuse .the only excuse u can say for not going to Uni pen is to say yes its a great school and one of the best but i did not get funding so i can not afford it hence i am going to Msu . That d only reason that can fly money. In terms of the other reasons u stated they have it in Uni Penn and more. Its a very top top school . Business executive go to Wharton anyday over MSU
Its like saying you got Havard and going for Murray State. .. then u state those reasons. Hope u understand what i am trying to say ..Uni Pen and Msu are not in the same boat .....
u raised my curiosity did u get into Uni Penn and choose Murray State ... My own is how did the v.o know about ur application to upenn, you didn't state that convo. And u didn't convince d v.o why you Picked msu. Maybe u can share that with us. |

Bethlehem08: My visa was approved on tuesday.I'm really very sorry for posting this late transcript. While i was celebrating the victory i broke my phone screen.I had to fix it first so i could be able to access nairaland as i didnt even remember my p/w. The grace of the almighty God was at work in my life that fateful day. I have been following nairaland since february. I started reading from thread6 and when it was time to start my application, there was no need to start asking any questions as i have gained alot.
Fastforward to the day of my interview. I did all the necessary stuffs, biometrics and all. I was on the queue and i heard STEP FORWARD PLS. There was this particular VO that was on a denying streak that day. He didnt waste any time at all and was very quick to say sorry your visa has been denied. He denied the young girl before me even as her mum talked and talked to convince the VO. He beckoned and i stepped forward.
V.O Good Morning
Me Good afternoon sir
V.O Oh! that's true. Good afternoon
V.O Ok now. Just tell me your name, when u finished high school, your plans, where you're going, your course and evrything i need to know just keep talking.
Me *at this point my confidence level dropped drastically cos i wasnt expecting all those questions at a stretch* My name is bleep.I finished my high school in 2003. I did a year diploma program in computer studies at the computer science dept of OAU. Between 2006-2008 i went to the maritime academy of nigeria for a two year diploma program in nautical science. I embarked on an Industrial training for a year at a shipping company. After the IT i started working with them as a full staff. I Will be going for a Bsc program in computer science at the university of minessota *Mind u, my voice was shaking all thru and i was stuttering. I lost my composure and had already given up*
V.O How long have u been working.
Me Five years as an assistant database administrator *he shook his head and gave me a stern look*
V.O Who's going to pay for your education.
Me My dad. i come tell am wetin my papa dey do.
V.O Congrats. your visa has been approved *at this point i became deaf* i grabbed the white paper and dashed out.
I didnt believe it.it was like a dream.while i was on the BRT i kept checking my bag if it was the blue paper cos i knew there was nothing i said or did that impressed the VO. God just favored me. He didnt ask about the school, course or if i wrote any standardized test(i wrote only TOEFL tho). I thought my age would be a red flag as i'm 29yrs old.
There was a time someone here said nigerians always attribute their success to an invisible being. No vex brother, but some of us here dont trust in our own power. GOD IS REAL. i surrendered everything to him and i was not put to shame. WHY NOT TRY GOD
Wow! Congratulations I always love a story behind the success Greater heights in Jesus name. Amen 2 Likes |

During your interview, what course did you say you were going to study?
Since you input social work on your DS-160.
Thanks Morning My range of questions didn't include my course. If u can go back u will see my interview transcript. But nonetheless I prepared to answer that 'I'm going for masters in social work but majoring in Child Advocacy and Policy'. + under the remarks section its stated in my i20 that 'the student's major is Child Advocacy and Policy'. Trust me ur okay. Be confident. Prepare well. Pray Was just asked 3 questions and I was out. Wish you the best. |

On my DS-160, my course of study will be Computer Information Systems right?
The international admission officer said "It should be computer information systems."
I just wanted to be sure so I don't have issue with the VO.
Thanks No u don't need to be worried, I had a similar situation. Going for Child Advocacy and Policy, but i20 stated social work with a code in front of it. That's what I filled in my ds160. Social work I didn't encounter any problems during my interview. All the best God goes with you! |

Tods: Visa approved 6:30 am yesterday at the Lagos consulate by that tough guy in window 6. Those present there would have noticed I was the first person he approved that morning ( lady on lemon coloured blazers and black skirt) after denying the first 3 people he attended to.
