Oh my, I have been waiting to hear from you yesterday. I have some questions for you.

1) was it ur salary acct u submitted?
2) if u re paid cash at d office, did u get a letter from ur finance dept to back ds up?
3) did you submit ur Offer Letter wch shows ur annual pay breakdown?
4) was the 1.8 million dep explained?
5) what did u now explain in ur cover letter if not to clarify ques 2 and 4 angry

1. Yes I submitted My salary account
2. My company either pay in cash if we are not on site and they pay into our accounts via bank transfer if we are on site outside town.
3. No, I only submitted the offer of employment, leave approval and introduction letter from my company with my I'D card.
4. I explained in the additional information section, I told them I bought 2 cars for my self and wife as a surprise but my wife adviced we sell them to purchase a landed property which we sold to someone who remmited the funds into my account and we bought a parcel of land. I gave the bill of lading, for the 2 cars and I also gave the sales of agreement for the vehicles with the application...
5. I only submitted leave approval, introduction letter and offer of employment.

Justwise, vic justice, ralphlaauren, iblaw, and others, I got my package yesterday but wasn't happy with the result, After explaining everything in my application and also in the addition information, they did as if they never read it at all. See below what they wrote in the refusal note-

You have stated that u are employed full time as a PM for xyz company earning 200K, in support of ur application u have submitted a letter from ur remployer and a bank statement, firstly considering the letter in isolation, without any corroborating evidence and noting it was issued on ur request means, it has little evidential value when accessing ur claimed income and employment, secondly I have reviewed the bank statement submitted and I can discern no regular income from an identified source, the deposit are in cash and there for the sources is un identified, I am not satisfied that the docs provided give satisfactoryevidence of ur. Employment and income.

I also not from the bank statement provided that in May 2015, three months before the submission of ur visa application u deposited 1.8M which is 10times ur claimed monthly income, from the documents submitted, I am not able to corroborate the origin of the funds held in ur bank, I am not satified that they are genuinely available to support ur visit not that the balance of this account is a true reflection of ur usual financial circumstances, This means that I am not satisfied that you have therefore accurately presented ur circumstance in Nigeria and this undermines the overall credibility of the application.

In addition from evidence shown, you also have no evidence of travel and compliance with immigration procedures similar to those of the United Kingdom, which might offset my other concerns and it's is not clear why u have chosen this time to visit the UK.

Pls let me hear ur opinion, if I should reapply or just stay put. Urgent attention required.

Yaaay! Better. What's d exch rate like? Now you can assist those trying to pay wt der debit cards.

Using Bank cards is better. I now pay wt my credit card. After I paid wt PAGA, I knew I wasn't going to use them for visa payment again. Too high!

Over too high dey worry paga. I paid 46k+ using my bank card. So easy. Did u put the original of ur work id?

That means you are being charged N245 to $1, that's quite high at this time. I have never used PAGA, last time i used my card to pay visa fee my bank charged me N206 to $1.

Has anyone used PAGA lately, please advise.

Thank you iblaw, I have contacted my bank and to my surprise, It didn't take me 2 minutes to make payment online, thanks to you all and I pray it ends in praises.

The answer to #7 should be RELIGION ASSOCIATION/FELLOWSHIP.
You have not logically provided an answer to question #9 which is the most important of all: That is the key question of the application, and the answer that you provide to the question will determine the outcome of the application, it should have to satisfy the Visa Officer.
Please, don't ask me what to answer to that question as that is a question that she and the Church should know the answer to.

Thanks Vicjustice, I was just informed that she's being given a Topic to present during the anniversary, is that a good reason?

ekpotek:

I have posted a comprehensive answer to these question earlier on this thread. Read through it.

I think it's important for all UK visa applicant to know how to fill the INCOME AND EXPENDITURE part of the application form. Many applicants are refused because of their inconsistency in filling this part. I will try to provide some explanations here:

DO YOU HAVE SAVINGS, PROPERTIES OR OTHER INCOME, FOR EXAMPLE FROM STOCKS AND SHARES? This question is to find out if you have other sources of funds to finance your trip apart from your usual earnings. This could be savings, renting of properties, lands or stocks. If you have any of these sources of funds, then answer YES and provide documents to support your answer. Give estimate what amount this will translate on a monthly basis.

HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND EACH MONTH ON LIVING COSTS? This question is to find out what is your average monthly expenditure from your current income. For applicants that earn salary, you should be able to estimate how much you spend on living every month. Those that are self employed, can also provide an estimate.

HOW MUCH OF YOUR TOTAL MONTHLY INCOME IS GIVEN TO YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS AND OTHER DEPENDENTS? If you have dependents, such a parents, relations that you cater for, state how much money in GBP you must send to them monthly otherwise fill NOT APPLICABLE.

WHAT IS THE COST TO YOU PERSONALLY OF YOUR TRIP IN GBP(£)? If someone else is fully sponsoring your trip, obviously the cost to you personally is ZERO. In such case, your sponsor must submit documentation, e.g bank statement, and a letter written to UK embassy clearing stating why he/she is sponsoring the trip and any other justification. If the applicant is sponsoring himself, then the applicant must state how much the trip will cost (accommodation, flight ticket, meals, taxi, etc).

THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU HAVE FOR THIS TRIP? The amount you enter here must correspond to "cost to you personally" if you are sponsoring yourself. If there is a sponsor, enter the amount the sponsor will make available to you.

THE COST OF THE AEROPLANE, BOAT OR TRAIN TICKETS. Enter the cost of flight ticket (Return ticket)

THE COST OF YOUR ACCOMMODATION. Enter the cost for accommodation (obtained from the hotel) or zero if staying with someone. Then you must submit documentation from that person, such as tenancy agreement, mortgage document, utility bill and a letter from that person to the embassy stating that they will accommodate you for the period stated in your application.

THE COST OF YOUR LIVING EXPENSES. Enter cost for eg. taxi, bus, shopping etc

IS SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOU PAYING FOR ALL OR A PART OF YOUR TRIP? If you have a full sponsorship or partial sponsorship, then the answer to this question is YES, otherwise enter NO

WHAT IS THE TOTAL AMOUNT IN GBP(£)? Enter the total amount by adding the cost flight ticket, accommodation, living expenses. Ensure that this amount does not exceed the cost you computed for the trip.

Also any amount you enter, you must provide the currency, usually it better to provide the amount in GBP to avoid confusion. If you need to explain any thing else, use the addition information page and/or a sheet to paper. I hope these will answers some the questions applicants have on INCOME AND EXPENDITURE SECTION.

Thanks Ekpotek, you still haven't clarify the question below.. what is the cost of accomodation? The organisation is paying for the Hotel booking... Should I input the value for hotel in the space or I should just leave it as NIL, If I input the total cost of accomodation, the embassy might say the cost to me personally is too small to the total cost . Advise on that pls

6. Is anyone other than you paying for all or part of ur trip?
Answer- Yes

7. Pls selct what the relationship is of the persin who is contributing to the payment for your trip?
Answer- Other- INVITEE

8. How much will they be paying towards your trip in £
Answer- £791 as on hotel reservation sent to her.

9. Explain why they are paying towards the cost of ur trip?
Answer- I explained to them that they already stated in their letter that they will be responsible for her welfare.

Am so sorry for what happened. Something in me tells me that you didn't read dis thread or ask questions b4 applying. (pardon me if am wrong). How on earth you came up wt that figure for d cost of 1-WEEK TRIP is unbelievable! Ppl usually give a breakdown of their budget/cost/financials... for ppl to help dem cross-check here.

You may want to hold onto d mistake of dem mentioning the course fee, but how do you make light of the unrealistic budget you gave. Did you state in ur application that you hv paid for d course?

I feel you shud calm down a bit and apply much later. Allow time pass b4 they will think you are desperate. And be thorough next time. Check for trainings in other countries too, if I get 2 refusals for a particular country, I will kuku face other ones until my circumstances change greatly will I go back to apply der.

This is not to kill ur morale, you may do as you wish.

Ogreen, what of me that have asked questions and u haven't said anything? Oya maake ur contribution nah

All figures look ok but dont write the cost of hotel cos you are not the one bearing the cost, leave it as NA and use the Extra Info page to indicate church is paying for accommodation, i hope that has been indicated in your IV.

I am submitting mine too once my salary enters my account on the 24th, then I go submit on the 26th. Thanks once again,

Your car investment and sharing of profit can be regarded as income and its good you have documents to back it up but those this profit reflect in your bank account? in the Additional Info page: Explain and add the documents.

Best of Luck

Yes, it does reflects in my account, the payment was made directly into my account by the car dealer, like in March 2015 he paid 2.5million for my hilander, 1.5 and 1m cos bank will not allow 2.5M transfer at once, both capital n profit, I have the bill of lading I will also explain to the ECO. 1. Wrong answer
To receive income from family and friends means that you receive money from them for support it IS NOT THE SAME as selling cars on the side.

So u suggest I should pick YES for -
Do you have savings, property or other income (for example shares and stocks)? And I can explain

im not sure askari01, but check this link to see if it applies to your sisters case
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/business-visitor-religious-workers-vat14/business-visitor-religious-workers-vat14

but i think it should be general visitors, and the organisation inviting her is the Church so you are right.

Thanks blessedFavoured, I have actually read the link and that's the more reason why I threw the question on here, so as to be double sure of what to choose... From what I gathered, anyone going for a church program in the UK must go thru business Visa... Read what I copied from the link u sent to me below

"Visiting religious workers, who come to the UK for a particular event, such as a conference or other similar event, may be asked to give a sermon or otherwise preach or give some pastoral care during the course of their visit. This is permissible under the definition of a business visitor provided the individual is based abroad and does not intend to take up an office, post or appointment here."

So I think she belongs to the Business Visitor category.
