Kyre, Ralphlauren, Iblaw, CuteAngel, blessedfavoured, justwise,Ogreen.... Kindly save me from this headache bro, I posted my questions about my Sister who got an invitation to attend a church anniversary in the UK... Her IV and Hotel booking with the church's statement arrived today and when i asked you which of the forms to fill , Some said standard visit and some said general visit... On getting online today , I chose general visitor but to my surprise the visa is a tourist visa intended for applicants wanting to come to the UK on holiday., i tried to answer all the pages but i didn't see any where th4 asked a question like Who invited you? I went back again and chose Business Visit.... andhere are the 3 questionx asked,

1.Is the main purpose of your trip to visit/stay with a close family relative who is settled in the UK? I chose NO
2. Do you intend to set yourself up in business in the UK? NO
3. Do you have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) Reference Number? NO

Immediately after the questions , I proceeded with filling the forms and to my surprise I got to a page asking for the name of organisation inviting you? Since the IV is from church , I wrote the name of the church....

Kindly let me know if I have done the right thing before submitting the form?

God remains faithful and merciful.

After my re-application I prayed every morning about not getting refused a second time. Even when I realized I made some errors yet again, I broke down and told God to make this work for me. I kept speaking positivity into this application, I cleared all doubts and held on to faith. I kept on planning every thing about the trip as though I have a visa already. And God perfected it.

I got the visa, multiple entry grin

Thumb up bro... Just so concerned that's why I asked . Go safely and return safely, Enjoy your Holiday.

However, I tried checking for available date in August at the VI Center but all i can see are dates between 10th -14th and nothing more, but Ikeja dates too plenty. Do you know if they will still open the last week of August in V.I center just like that of Yankee /

1. Standard Visitor visa

2. If you will be staying in hotel then hotel is themain address and contact details will be that of the hotel

3. If you have supporting document for that then yes if not then leave it out.

4. Should she write 774 and explain in the addition info that the church has paid for hotel .

5. Is the church providing food and transport for her?

6......

7. A church, church can be regarded as charitable organization as well

Thank you justwise... I believe standard visa. Is same as general visitor visa...

5. The church is providing for her wellbeing in the UK and I believe feedin and transportation should be included.

She earns a salary of 200K monthly and presently she has like 400-500k in her account, is that OK ?... although I have advise her to book for the cheapest airflight of like 550 and also go with like 200pound, making altogether 750pounds@313 Naira= 234,750k as money available for the trip since the accommodation part has been taken care of. Her account balance is so meager Becos she just bought some parcel of land in March.

Its better to move date ahead than to cancel, Save you from 165k lose. Just make sure you are the first caller this morning ... Those Oyinbo people cn play head games ehn..It will end in praises .

I suppose the 48hr notice should be Friday morning. So if I don't call the hotel by Friday morning to cancel or make changes, I stand a huge chance of being penalized by them charging the whole fee 165k. Haaaaa, it's much ooo.

My opinion is that you should change the date if you can but Don't cancel reservation, Do that as you are reading my mail now now, They would have treated your application and I am sure By now your application is on its way to the pickup center, It will end in praises .

I made a similar experience last year. My first application(4/6/2014) was refused cos of large lodgement then i re- applied two weeks later(4/8/2014) with documents from the office explaining reason for lodgement, the second refusal letter contained info that didnt pertain to me, only the name was right...date of birth, marital status, purpose of visit etc were wrong. I sent an email to Sheffield(sept. 2014) and after three weeks got a response that no error was made on the refusal letter sent to me....i was MAD. That was September ending last year. On 4th January 2015 i was telling someone in UK my experience and plans to re-apply again in March 2015 but he told me to keep sending mails to Sheffield till they acknowledge and correct error otherwise my future application wont work. Tuesday January 6th i send another detailed mail to Sheffield and in two days Thursday 8th January 2015 i got a mail from Entry Clearance Manager apologizing for the error that my name is showing visa issued on their system that i should take my passport to BDHC Lagos for my visa. Next day Friday 9th January i went to BDHC with a copy of the mail and after two hours wait i got my passport back with 6 months visa. Meanwhile during the CROSSOVER NIGHT(early hours of 1st january 2015) at MFM PRAYER CITY, during the pairing of people by seven and one people standing in the middle, i was in the middle when Dr D.K OLUKOYA said there is someone out there that within 10 days God will do a great miracle in your life, i just shouted AMEN since i have even forgotten about my visa application issue.
I travelled in March 2015 and hope to pick up my 2 years visa soon as i already got a mail that a decision has been made on my 2 years application.

So with God on your side and this error visa is sure.

@IbLaw, I was actually referring to your case and not Babylawyer... I could remember Vividly that your name has something LAW. Sorry pls, my bad.

Hi Justwise and others i got back my passport today and was refused. I want to ask if it's advisable to reply immediately and provide the necessary proof of the western union monies and also tell them that my account has been build up over yrs of savings.
Since they stated I did not provide enough proof to corroborate the western union deposits. Besides i don't know why they think am in Pakistan when it's clearly stated am applying from Nigeria and also working in Nigeria. Pls advice me if to go ahead and reapply.

I refused your apprication for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraphs v4.2 - v4.10 of Appendix V. Immigration Rules for Visitor visa
1. You have applied to visit the united Kingdom for 5 days. you have stated on your visa
application form that you are employed by -xxxxxxx Nig Ltd and earn PKR 160, 000 (£511)per month and that you are paying for you trip to thtuK yourself.

'2. As evidence of your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria, you have submitted a copy of your personal UBA Bank statement showing a closing balance as 09/07/2015 of N2.4m it is noted that there are a number of large deposits in this account which do not match your stated monthly income. I acknowledge that you have stated that your receive money from your fiance, but without further evidence to corrobrate this I cannot be satisfied where the additional money in your account has come from. This is relevant, as unambiguous evidence of your employment, pattern of income or means of support is required to access your situation in Pakistan provides you with an intention to leave the United Kingdom at the end of a short visit. Therefore, I am not satisfied.that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a limited period as.stated by you, that you intend to reave the uK; at the end of your proposed visit, the sufficient funds to cover all reasonabre costs in relation to your visit without working or accessing public funds. This includes cost of return or onward journey and any dependant costs or costs of planned activities as required by appendix V 4

You have a beautiful chance to get your visa if you can write a strong letter to the Embassy.... I refer to the case of a Nairalander by the name BABYLAWYER..... One of the ECO made this same kind of mistake and after sending them a very strong letter that was written by her, the Visa was granted. Get get proves of westernunion receipts and hook them (the Embassy) by the neck by caling their attention to the mistake made by the ECO.... Grab the chances and dont gurk your self.... Why would they mention pakistan in your application when you are a Nigerian... The ECO must have taken burkutu before going to work that day. You have 85% chances to get your visa withough spending KOBO on re-application. Look for babylawyer on this forum and adopt some info from her experience.. OFF to work

@Justwise and co, When applying for Business Visa, What should i fill in the column for Cost of Accommodation since the company i will visit has already arranged it and its stated in the INVITATION LETTER? Is insurance required for applying for this visa? Also please hint on whether its necessary to put my personal statement.

i tried to look up but couldn't find anywhere here where its been answered.

Thanks all

Justwise is the BOSS!!!
We are the Co....

As a Co on here , My advice for you is to request from the UK Company for evidence of the hotel reservation since it has been stated in the letter, The Hotel name, duration, cost/night and contact would definitely be on the reservation confirmation. Also state on the additional info that the Uk company has incurred the bill.

Insurance is not needed for UK visas.

Include your Statement of account as this will also prove that you are on the company's payroll, Atleast its gonna signify on your Statement of account that the company pays you salary every month... even if you dont have much money in it, include it .

Secondly,my Offic paid some amount into my accnt thats lik 4Times my salary.the money is fo me to organise an event we r hosting soon so I can disburse.no such money from my ofice apart frim Ma salary befor.shld I explain befo they think ma ofic is aiding cash logdement. Loll
Goodmorning@all.

I am not sure He went to the tax office, cos if he truly went there, your response shouldn't be that found out that In some months preceeding, he didnt make profit while some months d profit slightly varies All we want to know is his monthly income..... Once the ECO sees your bank statements and tax clearance,They already know how much you earn monthly and for your info , It must correlate with what you have on your application form. Applying for a UK visa is like preparing for an examination... no orijo nor short cut, Study hard and Pass is the word.

Secondly... Why are you the one to organize and disburse money for a company's event Dont you have a department that's suppose to handle that? Always remember that the ECO ain't smiling at all, They want to refuse you, They know alot of Nigerian's lie too much so they are always ready for you. You can do nothing if they refuse you so always try to perfect everything before applying. Nevertheless. You can try your luck by explaining yourself on the additional info that's if you have any document to prove this + 100% luck is required...

If its gonna take you 6Months to run you account properly , Kindly take your time. only if you want to donate Money to the BHC.

Thanks for your anticipated response.

Incredible.... So that someone stayed for 3months? but He/she must have told them He/she owns a business here or works with a company here in Nigeria when he applied for the Visa... So that someone left his business or work for 3 good months? That someone should be prepared to explain to them What he was doing in the UK during that period and Where he stayed for good 3months. Infact, That someone needs Miracle for renewal.

Hello everyone! How is weekend.
Pls, is it a must for a self employed applicant to include his tax clearance?

Secondly, we all know that its only the basic salary thats taxable. How do we show how much is basic salary. Or calculation is different for a businessman? For instance tax paid by a self employed applicant whose annual income is 300k is 19k tax.

Or the visa officers dont bother about how much tax is being paid aa long there is evidence of payment?

Thanks. M submitting my documents on Wednesday.

1. Its a must for Self Employed applicant to include his/her tax clearance certificate, Its an evidence that shows you truly earn the amount you stated in the application.... No shortcut.

2. To get the accurate amount you make in a month, Its advisable that you visit the nearest revenue office around you, Make sure you go there with your 6month bank statements and in 5 minutes you get your result. Meanwhile, The embassy also does have a department that evaluates your tax clearance to prove your cconfirm your income, However,If you earn about 120k monthly, Just be prepared to pay nothing less than 55-60k+ per yeAR as tax, No short cut at all.

Dont mis-quote me, I have not asked you to lie cos any form of deception might lead to 10yrs ban, Everyone on here knows that.. But my advise for you is to re-apply maybe next term and do not mention anything about your future plans, Just let them know they are coming to spend their holiday with you and upon completion of holiday they are returning home to resume school, SIMPLE as a,b,c. Good afternoon all,

Visa Refusal :

I have Indefinite leave to remain and my ex husband is a British citizen .

We had 2 kids together and they were born In Nigeria and they have lived all there life in Nigeria . Aged 8 and 6 respectively .

We applied for a 6 months visiting visa for the kids and they were refused .

We stated in the application that the children will return to Nigeria at the end of a 5 weeks holiday and that in the near future we have the intention of bringing them permanently to the UK.

The application was refused and We are not given any right of appeal and no administrative review .

The only reason for the refusal is "Due to your aim to also want to settle in the UK , I am not satisfied that you are intending to visit the UK for a short time as stated"
"I am not satisfied that you meet all of the requirement of paragraph 4.2 (a) and (b) and 4.11 of appendix V . "

Ques:

1.What are the kids chances if I reapply straight away to reiterate that the kids will return to Nigeria.

2. Do I have to apply for settlement visa for the kids despite the fact that our intention at this moment is just for the kids to visit for Summer holiday ?

Pls guys , I look fwd to Ur advice on how to go about it .

But why did you state in the application that in the near future we have the intention of bringing them permanently to the UK"
That alone is a case for the you and your kids.... I am sorry to say that your intention was the reason why you were refused and it could affect your subsequent applications. My Opinion.
