no be everybody dey use airtel or mtn.the network issue will persit until the cost of production reduces.if u like jump from one network to another,once the receiving network is saturated, the donor will be more efficient.

how will u convince them when exploit their customers and give poor service. Have you wonder why people are using airtel to browse instead of mtn at the moment? It is because of the speed even though some areas(with mtn) has good internet speed,60% of airtel mask has 3.75 at a speed of 42mps.

it is not true as airtel and glo offer cheaper calls to any network.it is when you call mtn to mtn that is when it is cheap.mind you it is not everyone that uses mtn,although mtn international calls are cheaper than other service providers.for example calling Uk mobile is 42k/sec or N25.20 with mtn,with airtel it is N1/min,glo 65k/sec and etisalat 55k/sec.

BodyKiss: I started noticing since yesterday, whenever I finish making call, MTN will show me my last call charge as the total call I've made for the whole day. At first I couldn't believe it, but after many calls, it was certain. Called a friend of mine and he confirmed to be experiencing the same thing.

I've spent more than my daily target today, as I did yesterday, but never got anything. This SIM is going back to where I brought it out from, no doubt.

Anybody experiencing the same thing?

that is because Ncc mandated MTN and other stop giving freebies-either voice or sms.

At the moment it is not possible.only etisalat,airtel and probably glo that is doing auto renewal.

NOIBMUUL: I might be wrong and this might be my biased opinion but Airtel is the best telecommunication network in Nigeria.

Airtel just soothes me: good tarrif, reliable network (relative) and enough data bundle. For my kind of lifestyle I have my visafone internet stick for out of office net access. So my phones are just basically as back-up. Network is not perfect in Nigeria but for me Airtel is relatively reliable. Most importantly, their data plans are transparent and flexible.

I can't touch a glo sim card again because of my not too good experience with them. I hate mtn so much I broke my sim. Seriously, why do people still use mtn? Etisalat is currently occupying one of my phones but I might have to discard it because of their hidden tarrifs.

For me Airtel is heads above water.

how much are they paying you for this? Oga Seun these guys are promoting network operators that don't advertise on nairaland but uses other social media to advertise and solve customer's need. Do you know how much you will make if u ban any form of advertisement made except the network operator pays for it.do you know how much other social media makes from?.i thought one of the rules is phone section is not to advertized a product without approval,why this. In any case it is left for you to decide

rman: First to get off the track is not really an advantage in a technology driven enviroment. Mind you, we all forget the fact that 11 years ago when MTN started, MTEL and ECONET took off almost at the same time and MTEL already has the infrastructure on groung. NITEL base stations and switches are in place before MTN came. How come NITEL and MTEL could not survive in a market that MTN is making a killing? How come a company that was built from scratch was able to dominate NITEL/MTEL that has infrastructure on ground to the extent that MTEL is completely out of the picture?

it is because mtn group contributed to their development moreover mtn is 19 years.

Why na Ncc? We the consumers are going to pay for this especially when calls drop or undelivered sms.why not ask the service provider to give quality network or N1,000 credit as compensation.

jude2011: I called 141 on airtel and was told that it is now 7.5k to ur club members, 10k to other airtel no. And 20k to other network. No daily access fee and the rate are from the very first minute. I called their customer care no.about 3 times and none was aware of the latest change in tarriff. I just want to know if it is true. If yes why no advert about it . thanks

my bro/sis,if u were in their shoe what will you do?.but that is not to say that they 100% right cos sum top officials of PHCN will want their share,e.g the Pension scam that occur recently is a good example.on the other hand,government are not been sincere in their dealings with Nigeria Labour as they don't care to know how they operate-even if they come late or absent on duty or even the tools for working.up till now the FG has not been able to solve power cut when there is lighting and thunder,just to mention a few.please be objective here cos neither the govt or PHCN are saying the truth and at the end,it is we consumers that we suffer it directly or indirectly.if we consumer decide not to patronize them,then we will see who will tightening it's belt.

it is not true but there charging system is bad.if u talk for 2mins,u r charged 4mins.

abi cos what so special about about bb that u pay 1G for N1,500 while other phones pay more.
