I know. Fornication,adultery et al are all bad,but somehow they're easier to understand than homosexuality. I just cannot reconcile my belief in God with homosexuality. I don't like adultery,fornication etc but the way i feel about homosexuality is on a whole different level. I believe in love and tolerance but homosexuality is the exception to the rule. I just cannot stand it. Even if i wasn't a religious person,i still wouldn't be able to tolerate it. It's not natural.

Homonsexuality is wrong,period. It's unnatural,unscriptural,goes every normal law or nature,it's just plain wrong. I hate hearing people say they were born that way-as far as i'm concerned that's just a way to shift the blame from themselves to someone else. They themselves know it's wrong so when they say they were born that way,they're in effect saying 'hey i know homosexuality is sick and unnatural,but it's not my fault-i was born that way'. The God i believe in is good and kind. He's not cruel. If He created people gay,He wouldn't tell us it's wrong. He wouldn't tell people to deny what He made them to be. Creating someone a certain way and asking that person to deny the way he was created would be just plain cruel,in my opinion,and my God is not cruel. So as long as God tells us something is wrong,He couldn't possibly have hard-wired us to uncontrollably do that thing. I think the whole I'm-born-that-way is just an excuse to shift the blame from themselves to someone/something else.

@fattnaija,the only thing i have a passion for is writing,so i'm not the least bit interested in fashion designing/music/acting/worreva.

Smh. . You're getting it all wrong. I'm not saying i'll stick with my husband just to honor my vows,i'm saying the diff btw a boyfriend and a husband is the level of commitment involved. Greater commitments mean greater sacrifices,and the reason why i'd make said commitments/sacrifices in the first place is because i would love him. I could choose to walk away from a casual boyfriend because i don't love him the way i'd love my husband and i'm not as committed to him as i would be to my husband. I brought in honoring my vows because i believe marriage isn't something you can just walk out of simply because it's not convenient for you. Loving him is a given and i guess that's why i didn't mention it initially because i know for me to have married him i must've loved him-if i didn't love him i wouldn't have commited to him,if i didn't commit to him i wouldn't have married him in the first place.
And honoring my vows doesn't apply to him beating me-when we married we took vows to love,cherish and take care of each other,and the minute he hits me he's broken those vows and rendered them null and void as far as i'm concerned,so i ca do whatever i like(divorce or whatever). Same thing applies to him maltreating/abusing our children. Same thing applies to cheating-if he's unfaithful,he's broken vows and they don't exist anymore.
P.s-I never said s.ex is the only/main reason i'd marry someone-that's dum.b. But thinking se.x isn't gonna be a significant part of marriage,that's dum.b too.

so when things like this happen if you truly loved the person it wont go away overnight!
God forbid your father developed a debilitating condition one day will you up and abandon him? even if he couldnt provide anymore or care for you the way he used to?
you should feel the same for your husband or a man for his wife- otherwise i dont see the point of being married

Back to your example,sure i'd take care of my father because i love him. But i'm not in love with him-i wouldn't love him the way i'd love a guy and so the way my dad's illness would affect me is verra diff from the way my boyfriend's own would affect me. I don't think staying with someone out of pity is right for any party involved-i mean i would prolly end up resenting him or something. So if we were just dating,i think i would sit down and consider it very thoughtfully. I didn't sign up for that and i dont want to be heroic and suffer in silence for the rest of my life. I'd also have to consider how severe his injuries are. Would we be able to have s.ex? I dont know about you but if i abstain from it until marriage(which i plan to do),when i do get married he'd damn well better be able to do it and do it right. After not doing for all these years i plan to enjoyit to the fullest extent possible in my marital home. Would we be able to have kids? I love kids and i don't know whether i'd be able to give that up. If we were married,then that's different-i took a vow before God and man to stand by him through thick and thin and that-my vows,marriage,it's sacred to me and i plan to honor those vows. I guess i wouldn't know for sure if i could stick with a boyfriend,but ideally,i'd stick with my husband.

Who needs StephenP when i can get me a man that sings,dances,acts,is beAUtiful to behold and has a rockin' bod? For him,i don't mind being a second wife. I'll have you know he sent his people last week and we are finalizing things at the moment.
