madambini: ![]() I guess the moral of the story here is "go with your gut" If something doesn't feel right, most times it isnt. If you have misgivings about a person right from the beginning,or if something just doesn't feel right about them, then do your research and clear those misgivings as best as you can. If you were wrong, then there's no harm done and you can continue moving forward. If you were right, you'll end up sparing yourself a lot of trouble/pain/whatever. Bottomline-don't ignore your instincts. |
He actually cursed himself? He said he would die on the road if he had children? That man is a bloody dangerous mofo. He's the kind that would swear with the lives of his children even though he knew he was lying. Not only is he a cheat and a liar,he is DANGEROUS. For him to have cursed himself with his own mouth over something he knew he was lying about? What won't he be able to do? You've had a lucky escape, deari. You might not feel very happy about it right now,but i have a feeling that someday you'll look back at this and say THANK YOU,lord! |

Does anyone know how much an 8GB iPod touch is going for? I found an authorised Apple Distributor, contacted them, and they told me it's #50,000. Then, someone else told me it's going for 35k in Slot/Computer Village So,please, does anyone know the current price for a 4G 8GB iPod touch in Computer Villa? |

ARareGem:Very true. Those ones are genuine-they got into a tough situation through no fault of theirs. However,i don't think it's as common as home videos would have us believe. And in situations like those,i don't think things are as hopeless as it may seem. There's a lot more awareness about these kinds of things, and lecturers don't get away with sexual harrasment as much as they used to. It's a difficult situation, yes, but like you said- there's always a way around a difficult situation. You just have to be resourceful and step up to it. |
Close your mouth 190 Do you want fly to enter it? |
Reminds me of one experience i heard. It happened at Ekpoma There was this lecturer that was so randy, and he had a girl in his class who was married and pregnant. He started toasting her in final year, saying there is no way she will complete her course in Ekpoma without any lecturer "friending" her That she cannot be in school for 4 years without any lecturer seeing her unclothedness So she went home and reported to her husband Who was so angry that someone would want to sleep with his PREGNANT wife He told wifey to go ahead and sleep with him Wifey slept with the lecturer And then the lecturer's thingy got swollen And kept swelling till he died When we hear all these stories like OP's,we sometimes say, ohh, poor girl, some lecturers are useless blah blah blah But i like going further I always like asking-where did the lecturer see the girl? There are hundreds of students in every dept. How did the lecturer single her out? Is she the type that dresses provocatively? Is she the type that goes to SSQ or to lecturer's offices' to see them? What will you be doing in a lecturer's office when you are not a class rep? I know some people will say a girl is free to wear whatever she likes, but i don't agree. If you dress/speak/behave in a manner that draws attention to yourself, you better be ready o face the music when oga lecturer starts playing it. I feel sorry for girls who are genuinely trapped in such a terrible situation, but i also feel sorry for some of these lecturers. Some of these girls practically attack them They beg them to come and sleep with them so they can upgrade their results I take all those "my lecturer" stories with a pinch of salt At the end of the day,us girls in Nigerian Universities have a responsibility to behave in a manner that is wise and avoid bringing trouble to ourselves |

sexkillz: ![]() Oya Come closer let me tell you something I know of a lady whose attractiveness is electrifying She sent me to you to give you this message: She cares about you very deeply She misses being in your embrace and she wants you to hold her closely and whisper sweet words of love into her ears Her name is Betty and she is the transformer on my street! |
sexkillz:I'm not that bad ![]() |
Smh Some people are delusional. |
No 3-Private conversations! I am NOT a romantic person! I treasure intellectually stimulating and humorous conversation more that teddy bears and flowers or romantic trips on the beach(what if sand enters my shoe) Candle-lit dinner for why? Is there no fuel in the gen? |
Wa ko yor Edo gha to kpere! Wa Domo! P.s-How come you can't say Domo to a woman? |
Here's another Okokhazagha-i think it means "someone that always scatters things" i.e someone who does things haphazardly |
honeric01:YES! That is how they always say it! ![]() BlueDiva:I think Ghele nor means "that's how it is" or "that's the truth" As for how we(i) learnt Bini,i was very bad at it. I never did it in school or anything cos i didn't grow up here and my parents didn't speak it much when i was growing up I have gotten a lot better at BIni from watching Bini movies and actually being in Benin It's kind of embarassing hearing small children rapping in Bini when i can't speak Bini for longer than a few mins Plus listening to all my aunts/cousins gist all those sweet gist in Bini has motivated me to learn it so i can hear what they're saying-Amebo is sweeter in Bini ![]() @Missy B, what's the spirit behind this saying "Na wa for Wire road?" |
My Grandma used to say this whenever we misplaced money or destroyed something.
![]() How do you say "someone that cannot stay in one place" |
Recent discoveries: Akhe no wu no ya l'edin no keke ![]() Tu khian gbikin?(no one seems to know what exactly this means-heard it in a Bini movie) Obo n'u gbezi(not sure bout the spelling but it means "hand that is always breaking something" i.e a clumsy person |
Welcome! So i just discovered the meaning of this insult: Aramwenoha(idk if that's the correct spelling) It means "Wild Beast" Now my mom has been calling me this ALL my life(and she still does!)-i just never bothered about finding out what it meant until someone told me a few days ago So i called her and said;mommy so you've been calling me,your child a wild beast all this while? And she says, yes, you know you always behave wildly ![]() I recently moved to Benin for school and i've discovered(and been called ) some very colorful Bini insults |
