Good evening house. I want to apply for a postgraduate program in Lambton college but I'm a bit confused with their requirements. 1 As a Nigerian, do I need to write any English language proficiency test as part of admission requirements? 2 Does Lambton college accept HND for a postgraduate program?
Your answer is needed please. Thanks. |

childgodly: Did anyone else experience issues when booking their biometric appointment? This One Time Password thing is just stressing me because it takes like ten minutes for it to be sent to my email and I guess that by that time it has expired because when I input it it says that it is incorrect. Can anyone offer me any solutions? If you're using phone to book for the biometrics, try using a system/computer. You will get the one time code to your phone immediately since your phone can access your email. That was how I did it when I was experiencing such delays. |

Emmyzdon: Hi nairalanders
I had my biometrics on April 21. It got uploaded on the system the same day when I checked my IRCC account, but up until now, the biometrics section on my application still says IRCC has not yet received my biometrics. Anyone had similar experience ? Should I be worried cos my colleague just did his 2 days ago and it is already showing biometrics completed. Do I need to send a mail. Honestly, I am worried You don't need to give yourself hbp, raise a web form as regards to that and chill, they will surely update you. |

Omolecule: Good morning everyone
I finished secondary school in 2014 and I want to apply for an Undergraduate course in Canada but the school is asking for an official high school transcript and the secondary school I finished from no longer exist, what can I do ? In most cases, you would need your testimonial and certificate from the secondary school you graduated from. Mind you, the secondary school you graduated from is not responsible for your waec or neco transcripts. Exam body provides transcripts Lastly, since you're applying for a diploma program, you would be required to provide statement of results and certificate for any higher institution attended and not transcript, this is based on requirement by a particular college. I hope this helps clear your doubt, gurus in the house will add to it. |

shupy: I still don't understand why some applicants are waiting for medical request before going for their medical exam. It's imperative you do the upfront medicals. The backlog is getting longer with each passing day. Waiting for medical request will cause unnecessary delay to your PPR. please, gurus in the house, when you go for a medical exam, what are they checking out for or what type of test are they carrying out? |

TheShaman: Actually, it is important that your sponsor declares how many dependents he has in his letter of sponsorship if he is married. The V.O assesses the financial statements on the basis that if the sponsor is married then he has dependents: how much does the cost of supporting the applicant take away from the funds shown in the bank statements?
You cannot have a sponsor who is married with dependents and has a bank balance of 10M and the applicants' cost of studies + living expenses is amounting to 60-70% of that bank balance. The cost of studies becomes an unreasonable expense because what will now be left for he and the family after he commits himself to sponsoring you? There's something I'm not understanding here 1. If my tuition fee for 1year and living expenses is 8m and I have a sponsor, I dont think it will be wise for my sponsor to commit or tie down that money when he can use it for his business turnover. 2. That my married sponsor has 10m as his closing balance and I have 8m at his expense doesn't mean he cannot sponsor me what should matter is the cash flow. Of course I can't have 10m and have a business to do with it and decided to forfeit the business because I'm sponsoring even its my son or daughter. I believe that the issue of visa approval is God as we don't really know what this people are looking for from applicant's. 3. Closing balance is the reason people go for magomago way by lump sum. My opinion o. |

bollybeejay: Please guys when it comes to making payments for your visa application, please make sure it's someone you know and trust paying for you, don't contact anyone you don't Know personally or trust to make payment for you because this issue of charge back is getting much, let's be careful out there please. Now IRCC will begin to scrutinize every payments made on application from Nigeria, I tire for our people, what do you gain in acquiring useless funds by jeopardizing people's life, now we see why IRCC has to scrutinize everything coming from us, I really don't blame them I really don't know what's wrong with our people, how can one pay for someone's application and charged back to recover the money and in the end renders the person 5years ban, its crazy. I now understand why VOs refuses most Nigerian's visa. |

Emmytobs: That's quite insightful. I seem to have some monies leaving and entering my sponsor's account (from 8m to 11m, then to 3m, 5m, and then finally grew to 8.3m). The 5m stayed in the account for about two months untouched, before it finally grew to 8.3m, which my sponsor explained in his Letter of Sponsorship. What do you think about this kind of transaction history, and is there any way I can better explain it. the in and outflow of money is okay. Just pray for God's favour. They questions lump sum if such amount of money has not entered the account before and all of a sudden, big money. What would be would be. |

dyce101: They noticed you have a lot of money in your account and you might decide not to leave Canada
Family ties, you should have bring ur mom or ur dad in as sponsor
The course you applied for I don’t think it relate with your job
Just saying my brother, shebi they need people who will not be a financial burden to their government, since he has the money, I was told that self sponsor is the most valued. I can decide to go for any course,it is my choice so long it align with my career part if its a science, art or commercial course of study. Buh if I were the VO, I would consider what one is coming to do in Canada after such pay and such outflow of money. |

Bosede24: Good day everyone...please I have a question I want to ask. I applied to a college in Canada and they ask for my official transcript. I requested for my transcript from my university nd I was told they’ve sent it to the school(I paid for it too) but still yet they said my transcripts were not official...but what can I do?( the deadline is next week). How can they make it official again .....?because my school said this is not the first they will be doing so am confused....what type of official letter is it again.....Please gurus in the house help me.thanks official transcript is when the school sent your academic records to the school you applied to without you having access to it. I don't think that your school in Nigeria here can send unofficial transcript to Canada except if something is wrong somewhere. Try to ask your school in Canada why they considered the transcript as unofficial since its sent to them directly |

honorableron: No one has answered my question fa. Doing an upfront medical is optional, you can wait for IRCC to request for it or you do it upfront. Mind you, upfront medical does not guaranty your Visa approval. Applicants do an upfront medical to hasten their Visa processing approval. Other gurus in the house will throw more light. |

Oreoluwamipo: How about my bank statement ? Should I wait till I'm set ? I have gathered other documents .. Just the loa is delaying me from getting my sponsorship affidavit and others. getting your bank statement should depend on when you're ready to apply for study permit. I would advice you wait for your LOA first. If you're applying for study permit in the month of May, your BS should start from April downwards. I hope that this answered the question It will end in praise. |

I'm concerned about the date those documents will carry. . You can get your sponsorship affidavit and police character cert now if you are sure you would get your LOA anytime soon, get other documents ready as well because of time factor. But also know that police character cert expires after 3months. Thanks. |

Was there no official receipt to confirm the payment? As at now,has the fee been paid and confirmed by you? If yes,he should be paid. I don't think there's anyone that is not your family member who will charge you #340 per CAD. My opinion. |
