In the past Ogun state was in the forefront of education in Nigeria however as soon as the culture of thuggery,political gangsterism and the societal quest for quick money,through the elevation of Yahoo and rituals and backed by state actors,Ogun state like other south west state all fell to a very shameful level.
presently in terms of education other parts of southern Nigeria are way ahead of south west and the Lagos-Ibadan parapo media has done little to help this situation rather they feed there unsuspecting populace with Propaganda to massage their ego.

This is a welcome development...establishing a visa office where is needed most,people from the Eastern region likes exploring and are very adventurous and with the number of graduates especially from the medical field and IT sector produced every year from the South East,such visa office is apt and timely.

The United Kingdom has established a visa centre in Enugu, South East Nigeria.

This development was confirmed in a commendation message signed by the secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia.


In the statement, Enugu State government said the visa centre in the state will facilitate visa applications by residents in the state, the South-East zone, and the country at large.


Prof. Onyia, recalled that the visa centre was part of Governor Peter Mbah’s earlier requests during the visit to the Government House, Enugu, by the UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr Richard Montgomery, in June this year.


The statement said the government received the news of the visa centre with delight and satisfaction, stressing that it would further enhance economic partnership and cultural exchanges between Enugu State and the United Kingdom.


“The Enugu State Government therefore looks forward to a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the UK, as the visa centre would help cement the relationship”, the statement added.

The government called on the people, especially those residing in the South-East to avail themselves of the opportunity provided to file their visa applications in the state, saying the government would ensure improved security both to residents and visitors carrying on business in the state.

The UK diplomatic office disclosed in a statement on Monday that “the facility will operate out of the Omedel Luxury Hotel, 4/6 Link Road off Pascal and Jerk Bus stop, Independence Layout, Enugu and that it will offer twice-a-week services in the interim”

535 Nigerians In China Prisons For Drug Trafficking

There are at least 535 Nigerians Biafrans in prison in China, jailed for drug-related offences.
Sources in Guangdong Province in The People’s Republic of reported at the weekend, that at least two out of 200 Nigerians who visit the country are arrested on drug-related offences in the capital, Guangzhou.

An official of the Consulate in Guangzhou, who declined to be named because he was not authorised to speak with the media, told Daily Sun: “Almost every week, we have drug-related issues. On Thursday, April 27, 2017, officials of the Nigerian Consulate went to some prisons to interview some of our citizens Biafrans there and it was drug-related issues all through. Most of the drug pushers are from a particular state and a particular local government from that state. On the average, 200 Nigerians come into Guangzhou, and, out of that figure, at least, two are arrested on drug-related charges.
“The office also attends to three drugs issues on a weekly basis, which are either for arrests or going to court.”

He added that depending on the size of the drugs, the Nigerian convicts were either handed a death sentence or given long-term sentences.
Earlier, at a parley with the Nigerian media delegation, Nigeria’s Consul-General in China, Ambassador Wale Oloko, disclosed that 70,000 Nigerians visit Guangzhou, annually.
