Cjrane2: [s]Obviously the gratitude for the continuation of this project after 2015 should go to America.
The highly nepotic despot would NEVER have funded a bridge in an area of Nigeria he openly professed so much hatred for "not voting for him"
Meanwhile, the other infrastructural projects (Expressways) built in the north and west with the $311 million dollars Abacha's loot will not be tolled. But this bridge built between the East and Midwest will be tolled. Go Figure!

omenka: AMEEEEEEEEN!!!
PDP is a very shameless party indeed, and an ungrateful one to boot. One can see how they've totally ignored making any statement about the agitation from the East, as though they don't matter at all!!
Even a statement like this they've accorded Jonathan, they've not made about the East (South East is free to seek the party's presidential ticket), even though such a statement is simply a declaration of EVERYONE'S RIGHT to take a shot at the ticket which is not equivalent to saying they will definitely give such a person/people the ticket.
The meaning any discerning mind would read into this attitude is simply the party asking the East to totally steer clear of the party's presidential ticket. One wonders what the East did/has been doing wrong to deserve such shabby treatment from a party they've laboured so long for.
This is the same party for which for which some folks are demonizing Umahi.
Smh. Because they turned themselves into PDP slaves. To them, it's either PDP or nothing. They deserve whatever the treatment they get from PDP. That's what happens when you limit yourself and your options |

Fahdiga1: Jonathan shouldn't make the mistake of contesting for any election in Nigeria again. he is not rugged for Nigeria kind of politics and besides since he is not from the east he is not fit to contest. 2023 is the turn of the Igbos to produce the president. both APC and the PDP will be making a grave mistake is they don't zone their party's tickets to the east. for the sake of equity and progress, Igbos should produce the president. Lol. There's nothing for APC in the south east, you guys never hid your hatred for the party since its formation. APC is not the party you can threaten, the few people that even joined the party, you turned them into outcasts |

Unfortunately, or fortunately, [s] Sai Bubu is insufficiently stupid enough to believe you [/s] . Talking of stupidity, you realised that PDP lawmakers were stupid enough to boo Mr president throughout his presentation the last time that he went there to present budget. What exactly will he go there to do again, knowing that they wouldn't listen to him, they wouldn't let him speak, they wouldn't let the audience hear him. This is the consequence of their madness and unruly behaviour, they should suck it in. |

codemaniacs: you're right but in the past ( at least 100 years ago ) jungle justice was done to criminals caught in the act and not on accusations...
in the past when criminals were caught they were executed within 1 day... now there is a long trial duration, have you asked yourself why the trials take long?
when e:uropeans invaded Africa, Africans used their natural laws of killing criminals within one day... but since the e:uropeans came here to steal resources they needed to change the mentality of Africans to stop killing criminals caught in the act within 1 day. this means there was more time for e:uropeans to plan how to free and acquit e:uropean criminals.
If the indigenes in NE were doing jungle justice on B:H will there still be B:H today? How u wan take do jungle justice on a group of people with AK47, bombs, RPGs, etc? |

Omihanifa: I remember commenting yesterday that Osun State is very notorious for kidnapping and human sacrifice ( rituals) but some people taught I was being cynical The truth is that they might not be kidnappers. No be Nigerians killed them, many people have been wrongly accused and killed in Nigeria in the past. I have witnessed one before. Someone called him a kidnapper and other people descended on him. Beat him to pulp, police came but they couldn't rescue him because the mob were just too much in number. He was later set ablaze. After he was killed, it turned out that they actually killed mentally challenged man, a local man for that matter. Aluu 4 were judged right here while their ordeal was still going on. Some even said that they deserved jungle justice until they were finally killed in afternoon, their ordeal started at dawn. It turned out that they didn't steal and didn't have intention to steal anything. A father in Ibadan called one guy a thief who was trying to rob his house. Neighbours and passers-by gathered and killed him. Later, it turned out that the father had warned him several times to stop paying his daughter a nightly visit, so he taught him a lesson. |

new2012: Why did Etisalat crash? How many times has the current Airtel changed hands? The world over, covid 19 realities has messed enterprises up. So, you believed that the price of data and call tariff responsible for the Etisalat and airtel problem? What about management, corruption and all? Are they the only one operating in Nigeria? It simply means that there is something they're not doing right. Typically I believe you're only speaking based on sentiments. Sentiment, why? I'm still neutral. I only gave you the information you might not be aware of before making your comment about the operators making profit or loss. If the focus is as to protect the small ISPs, what changed? They can now be driven out of the market right? That's up to NCC, policy somersaults is not new in Nigeria. Or, may be they feel that the new entrants have enjoyed enough protection. It's not up to me to answer in affirmative but you saw the evidence I attached that it was actually the NCC who jacked up the price of data years ago. So, don't let us derail |

Are they to take loans to imp I've and don't recover the funds?
You're crashing 1GB I o less than $1 when they buy their equipments and pay their providers in dollars You don't know what you're argue about. Are they not making profit even if they buy in equipment using pound sterling? How much does 1GB of data cost them in dollar? Let me guess, you don't know. That's it. May be you have forgotten, let me remind you that it was this same NCC that forced popular ISP (MTN, airtel, Glo and Etisalat) to increase their data price few years ago because they were already selling 3GB at either 1k or 1500 naira before. They would give 1.5GB as main data and another 1.5GB as bonus. Then, NCC said that there was need to protect the smaller ISPs and new entrants from being priced out of the market competition. Are you now telling me that they were not making profits at the time?

Ezenwa12345: HTC stopped making phone after HTC one, Don't lecture me on phones. Huawei sold more phones than iPhone this year . How many people have you seen using Huawei compared to iPhone. Because the majority of iPhone that is sold in Wes Africa is second hand phone, which Huawei is selling first Hand base on majority. Do you want to talk about phone spec or what?. Chinese and India covers African market alone, so if Huawei is selling 80% of there phone in Asia , it still cover West Africa market. iPhone is not distributed in West Africa, and Samsung low budget phone is what is sold here . Firstly, Huawei didn't sell more than iPhone this year 2020. Where is your evidence? Secondly, the point still remains the fact the likes of LG, Motorola, HTC as at today on global scale have infinitesimal market share be it in Africa, Asia, Europe or America. No way to spin that fact.
