@ GenBuhari I respect Buhari anytime, He is my 1st choice when it comes to voting, but hey, you are all waisting your time. The forces you are fighting in Nigeria are greater and mightier, and one way to defeat them is to rock their brain with an unusual, and faceless radical move by Buhari. When Buhari was asked by journalist about his desire or aim to Islamize Nigeria, he couldn't give an answer. What is wrong with Islamizing Nigeria? He would have won the election, if he gave the true answer. I can't for one second deny, as a Muslim, that I will not work or promote my religion peacefully in whatever position I find myself. This is a duty, by denying the claim, he act hypocritical about it. Don't misunderstand my point though, I have respect for Buhari anytime anyday, but he just got it wrong, and I must admit it. Next time someone ask him about Islamizing Nigeria let him answer truthfully and honestly, and ask that questioner if anything is wrong with Islamizing Nigeria. The country as it is is already Christianized. |

I agree with the General, it is from fuel price increase to removal of subsidy. It all comes to the same circle "increase in the price of petrol" which easily translates to the increase in the price of almost everything in the country. They can call it anything they want. What matters is the adverse effect of doing such thing on the poor masses who rely on generators to get power in their homes and small businesses. If the government is really serious in improving the standard of living in Nigeria, then fuel and electricity must be subsidized, education and health must be free. So much to call 'inappropriate' in the country, but all the way down, it is only about 'survival'. By the end of 2012, Nigeria would have up to 200 million people, but there are no plans to provide the essential health facilities or the plans to increase the number of police officers to a certain amount. They don't set targets and achieve them, they just set targets, set targets, set targets. Painful it is, did you know that the FG have spent 2 billion USD (300 billion NGN) this year on Police a lone? |

I have been reading so many comments about Gaddafi all around the internet. So many people find it hard to reveal Gaddafi's love for a United Africa. His attair carries the flags of all African countries including Nigeria, he love black people and he isn't a disco fan ![]() My only gruise with him is the "one man one woman" law he imposed on his people when half of the population are women. Another gruise is the fact that he abandons law of Allah when 100% of his people are Muslim. Apart from the above, Gaddafi is a great leader, in terms of taking care of the welfare of his people. Comments, Bashing, Curses are welcome, at least I know i'm in Nairaland. ![]() |

A five-day regional course on the rudiments of interest-free Islamic banking kicked-off Monday at the Paradise Suites Hotel in Banjul. The course, organised by the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM) and attended by bankers from the sub-region is geared towards exposing bankers in the region to the basic tenets of Islamic banking. I pity this guy so much. I think he was set up by the extremists regarding that bomb, they knew well what they have given to him. There is really something behind him going to prison. It reminds me of "Prison Break". |

@jerryben12 That is Bill's finger holding his gift, no photoshop here. Why are you even doubting, is it like they said "Jesus visits Nigeria"? Attention Seun should have stake in all these types of events as the owner of Nigeria's most popular website, he should be invited to such events. Anyway, maybe because he's not been so innovative that is why, Nairaland would have being a full featured portal just like Yahoo and Baidu by now. Anyway, him knows why he decided to "pause" development. Advice, 1. shift the forum to a sub-domain if you are afraid of tempering, like forum.nairaland.com 2. create a new web 2.0 homepage on primary domain nairaland.com 3. create sections and even have an area to display top threads etc on the homepage 4. you can even allow nairaland users to have an email @nairaland.com and serve other domains as well Bill is a great man, he was innovative, intelligent and creative. If there is anything we can be proud of as stake holders in IT should be this Nairaland, there should be advancements. Nairaland should partner with Bill to empower this website to provide more content and engage users more. |
I mourn those innocents killed on 1st October 2010, may their soul rest in peace. For Nigeria, I say "Hard Luck" because you are sick! |
At least now they are talking about the Unity It shows how fearful they are that the country may divide soon Time will tell |
