The UN security council approved the intervention of NATO in Libya. NATO was asked to implement the no fly zone. If UN decides today, the same will be applied in Ukraine and Russian Jets will be brought down Come on, NATO is made up of 30 countries. When USA backed NATO to invade Libya, the people didn't even call for NATO as much as Ukraine has called on NATO to come help her. Why has NATO not come and fight for Ukraine as they did in Libya and Afghanistan? Both Libya and Afghanistan are not NATO member states but NATO quickly went to damage them. Do u know why? Both Libya and Afghanistan are weak nations. NATO can't do the same to Russia because Russia is not a weak nation. So, both NATO and Russia respect one another and will only get directly involved against each other if the matter enter last minute which is Either NATO directly hits Russia or Russia directly hit at NATO. Russia is a world power and that is why these countries are scared of directly confronting it. She has nuclear and chemical weapon which can destroy greater part of Europe. NATO is also made up of countries with such weapons. So, both are scared of each other. Russian president said it before the war that NATO should not get involved. He further stated that Russia surely can't fight 30 countries which is made up NATO but assured NATO that there wouldn't be any winner when both gets involved. That is simply saying that I know u can't fight 30 countries of NATO but if u fight me, I will fight back and since u can't defeat 30 nations which no nation can do in this life sef, I will simply deploy chemicals and nuclear weapons to end all of us together.[/quote]

Russia is a not as rich as people assume. Boycotting their gas and looking for other alternatives only will cripple then economically. Already Europe is looking on to survive without Russian gas for the sake of the unforseen. Annual EU27 natural gas domestic production and imports (TWh) Chart in 2021 shows the demand for Russian gas have decreased from 41% to 38% in 2021.
