I want to respond, I know what I want to say but I don't know how to say it.

Some times experience is the best teacher.

When Warren Buffet stated the rule about not losing money he was speaking out of years of experience. Experience that can only be fully understood when you experience it.
We're saying the same thing.

If you traded for up to 6 years successfully, your experience would have counted.

This 6 months you mentioned was more of an experiment 😁

They will send you a year end gift grin
Maybe I will negotiate for 0.45% commission.

That tiny 0.05% will buy me 2 cows 😁😁

That means u should be expecting nothing less than 2× as you own based on #30m
N30m should be enough to make them do 13th month for some of their staff.

I prefer that.

Although it will be split between Atlass and Morgan, but each broker will get at least N10m

Back in 2014 when I was trading stock options my broker in Luxembourg (Saxo Bank) called me and gave me a personal account officer. Approx 6 months after that phone call I was totally wiped out.

Never traded stock options again, at least not with any meaningful volume.
Hopefully when you master it, you will survive 6 years and still be thriving.

Erstwhile, you just port to a different strategy that you understand 😁

This yr your broker must give you cow as Christmas gift
Abi 😁😁

Let me sha hit my N1bn target this quarter.

If I trade N6bn this year, that'll be N30m in fees to my brokers.

It started long with the late ceo private university and the family fighting over his estate. The money for that private university na money cornered in the name of acquiring different banks in some countries with yeye economy .Then process on how it took over another bank.So karma always comes knocking when u least expect

It touched 820 today grin
I'm used to it.

It's foolhardy to try catching absolute tops or bottoms.

I take what I can and stay contented 😁.

That's why my portfolio has a better performance than Agba's. He's still waiting for absolute bottoms.
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 3:47pm On Jan 14
I traded N33m today. My highest ever.

That's more than I used to trade for a whole month in 2024.

I don't even understand whether na AwesomeJ people dey recycle the shares which has been unending for a year Lol grin
Even if the supplier has 10B shares e suppose don end by now. Something beyond ordinary is not right with ACCESS
Access is like the major stock that made me switch to being a trader. I bought after their Diamond Bank merger, and i saw premium shege. I knew holding isn't for me.

I can't remember the last time i bought Access grin

Willie2015:
seplat should break 7k mark next week
Still around 6100 in London.

Tony also paid just around 6100.

So based on these, I will wait for results and dividend announcement before i consider 7k fair value.

But then the current momentum on NGX is strong, so I'm riding the wave grin

SEPLAT and ARADEL dragging index near 170k

in just 9 out of 21 sessions.

Agba is now a believer.

Make we dey look whether you no go make withdrawals
When I withdraw N5m, the profit on that would be 2-5% so i'll only pay tax on 100-250k profit. I can live with that.

That's if LIRS even has time to implement CGT sef.

I happy say Una don begin make revenue for FG in the new year. @AwesomeJ, you go soon cross our taxation threshold o so make you arrange our money.
If you mean N150m, I crossed it before 11am today.
I hope to be at N170m by end of today grin grin

Except that na only sell dem dey count.
next week for that one.

But no money is due to you since i've reinvested everything. grin grin grin

Agbalowomeri:
Na hyperbole

But on a serious note, I can't pay more than N45 for a banking stock that will likely not give more than N5 final dividend.
You know it's Cardoso that's making you talk like this.

if T-bills go back to 9% for 364 days, will you even see a N5 divident stock trade below N100?

You're minding Agba.

The FPIs that could dump and cause the kind of crash he wants are no longer that active in the market.

Maybe he has decided to just retire from nigerian stocks altogether.

How's that new market you once mentioned @Agba??

The last time I received trade alert from them was in July, 2024.
I believe they are deliberately cashing out on investors knowing nothing will happen yet we have Regulators and Shareholders Associations.
I think we should just find ways to escalate.

For instance, since i sent that email complaining about the lag, it's now been mostly fixed, and i trade much more easily, I'm doing over N20m again today, second time this week, compared to when i struggled to do N10m cos of the annoying lag.

You no talk 1B sef
Na so most bidders go queue up at the upper bound price unlike the less liquid stocks. People will only buy now for dividend.
What do you think they will pay as final dividend? I think most will just repeat the same thing they paid for last year
This post doesn't have much bear in it, are you considering partial entry now? I would love that.

Naija and its anyhowness...
I tried calling them, it just kept on saying "all our agents are currently busy" for nearly 5 minutes.

Since I have code to push, I had to drop off.

I wonder if CSCS customer service is now as busy as banks'

Almost 3 months now, and CSCS hasn't sent trade alerts even though they've been charging for it.

Over 15k per month for me.

Maybe they should allow us opt out.

Which banks will likely acquire FCMB and Sterling Bank?
Acquire kwa??
Haba na.
In a worst case scenario, they would do a license downgrade. I think we're reading too much into this capitalization.

Most of the banks are already over 5x above the threshold, if not for CBN's gymanstics of discounting retained earnings.

Highest Bolaji will do PP via Chapel Hill Denham instead of allowing FCMB to be taken over.
