understandably why some people no believe ASI indicators..
Kinda skewed, except in rare general bull cases.

but we gat no choice. we still need a general measuring parameter.
You can use market breadth as well.

At over 12x from yesterday, it's obvious the current momentum is massively green.

Momentum continuing in the market.

Market breadth at 12.83x (77 gainers vs just 6 losers)

I couldn't trade today cos of the lag, but God being faithful, I still made more money than I did on days when I actively traded 😎🎉

Agba's bankers are bringing his fixed deposit money to the stock market to make 50%, then dash him 15% from it as interest. They have turned him to novice in the market.

I was wondering same as they have like 30 minutes lag
The market has not done 60k deal since I started actie participation in 2018.

Anything above 30k, streams will start lagging.

And they sit inside A.C doing nothing, same way they're not doing anything about AIRTEL being stuck for the whole of 2025

Today's trades will probably keep straming on beyond 2:30.

Number of deals today should be an ATH

The first half of this year 2026 will be bullish due to political patronage from election campaign funds, new capital raise by insurance, banks, Dangote Refinery, Oando, etc. and the bull would continue up to the latter parts of the year.. There could be some bearish months getting near to election time i.e. first quarter of 2027. If everything goes peaceful and successful in the election, there would be massive bull throughout 2027, all things being equal.
Agba, are you hearing??

Also, the 24 hours is a good default.

Can we allow the lifespan be something that the creator can set as well ( 1 hour <= lifespan <= 24 hours && lifespan is type integer)

Maybe an option to end it prematurely too.
Especially useful since trying to edit the lifespan (or anything else) mutates the data.

If mod sets 6 hours (based on his judgement) but enough responses come in after 2 hours, (s)he should be able to end the poll without having to wait out 6 hours. Especially if (s)he would like to spin up a new poll.

Please refine these suggestions and only pick what's genuinely relevant.

Is anyone a mod on this thread?

Seun has worked on adding a polling feature.

But he says only mods and the creator of the thread(stockbull) can add polls.

The use case is to avoid heated argument.

Like when Agba says index should go to 80k and I say index should go to 180k. If the divergence of opinions wants to cause quarrel, we can just simply spin up a poll like

Where do you see the index at this month:

A. Above 180k
B. 160- 170k
C 140- 150k
D below 100k.

So that I can easily win and Agba will rest.

The feature is live already, but only a mod on this thread can use it.

Who knows a mod?

Seun:
You can only add polls to your own topics. Also, moderators and supermods can add polls to any topic.
I just tested. Everything works smooth. Thank you.

How can we get more mods on the stock market thread?

I think the creator has abandoned us for a long time now.

There is a new Add Poll button.
Please check the build, if it's a fresh commit.

Naira also starting the year on a positive note, closing at 1430.

A significant gain from the 1450 levels we had last week.

Market breadth is positive, index isn't being skewed by any single ticker.

We're having great momentum. Late comers will come and buy a 200k market.

Anyone with less than 5000 units should be able to easily sell above 6100 in the curent session (that's about 5% above the previous reference rice and almost 10% above this dip).

so far, I've sold over 300 units above 6300

Jesus wept. Is that what you have turned my investment in government security to be.Deris God oh.In other words thr is equally room to default since it is now rent
Na joke o.
Naira defaults by FGN is not possible 😁.

Worst case is they would pay the naira, but it might not be worth much.

I wonder how people who bought Zimbabwean bonds survived.

You put your 10m life savings in the bonds, by the time they paid you, it was no longer enough to buy a loaf of bread.

I think that's the only kind of risk, default really isn't a risk.

I wonder why they still term the instruments risk-free when there exists a real risk of significant loss of value.

I got paid for normal bonds on time this Dec.It seems Sukuk is now always late.
Isn't it normal for Rent to be late in Nigeria?

Abi no be Rent sukuk dey pay?

The average Nigerian tenant pays rent late, so sukuk is probably just emulating the habit too. 😁😁😁

Baba no be quarrel na. Why you come dey quarrel
It's not quarrel na, why do you see it as such.

I'm just saying you need to understand that you're the only one losing out due to your fears, some of us are rather enjoying our optimism in the market.

Since you're contented with your fixed deposit, stay there and do not perceive those of us succeeding as arrogant.

After all we're at different stages in life and investment journey, you wouldn't expect our strategies to align.

Just respect everyone's choices and refrain from unnecessary labels like "arrogant"

Streetinvestor2:
Na gross abi net gain..lol
Gain that I enjoy spending. Gains that I'm able to help frienyand family with.

People like Agba who have very limited knowledge of the market are waiting for when I will say I make losses.

I can only make daily losses, which are normal and rare.
When you pan out to weekly and longer time frames, I'll always be green.
So he will basically wait in vain forever for something that has a smaller chance than the sun exploding this century.

When Bob Marley didn't want to wait in vain for that lady's love, at least that was a wait that had a potential upside for him (the girl might come around to love him)

In Agba's case, it's a wait that has zero upside for him, even if some other trader lose money, I wonder what he would gain from it other than I told you so. You will now commit emotions for decades and even deprive yourself of gains cos you hope 180k doesn't happen for instance, all that just to say "we tell am"huh Na wah!

Agba will wait till 2097 hoping to one day say "I told you so, by 2097, I might decide to stop playing the market.

I wonder why people think the fact that they can't do something (like consistently make profits), no one else can.
Isn't that the real arrogance?
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 8:32pm On Jan 01
Agbalowomeri:
I love your arrogance grin
Which only exists in your mind.

What does it matter what you love?

Does it affect my earnings in anyway?

Between your 80k ASI call in November and now, I've made 100 times the national minimum wage using a tiny portfolio. You're there in fear and lack of sophistication settling for 2% in fixed deposit.

Who's losing from you being always wrong? Just you and anyone who takes your calls seriously.

Stockpromoter:
Kindly note that StockPromoter is a new handle for Locotrader. The previous account was deactivated due to security concerns.
Unfortunately, my Yahoo email was also compromised after responding to emails from forum members on Nairaland. As a result, both the handle and email have now been changed for security reasons.
Going forward, all Nigeria Stock Market Pick Alerts and updates will be shared strictly on this forum only. I will no longer accept or respond to private emails from forum members.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Wishing everyone a profitable trading year ahead.
Thanks for sharing.
I think for the most part, private emails are unnecessary.

But you should still put Loco somewhere in the moniker na. This one you just removed it completely.

How about LocoPromoter
