mfonox: Today was pink slip galore in Lagos. I also got my share of the pink slip
VO- Good morning pls pass ur passport Me- Good morning VO- What are u planning to do in the US Me- I’m going on a vacation to visit my cousin and his family. I also recently opened a small clothing store in the city where I work I usually source for goods locally so I’m thinking while on vacation I could also shop around for one or 2 things for my store VO- When last were u in the US Me- Oct 2017 VO- How long did u stay Me-3 weeks VO -You applied for a visa in 2016 and didn’t go till 2017 why? Me- As at when I applied I planned to attend my cousins wedding but I had some work emergencies at the time of the wedding so I couldn’t attend so when I was able to get off work in 2017 that was when I travelled VO- where did u go when u travelled Me- New York VO- when u applied u said u were going to x why did u go to a different state Me- As at the time I was able to get off work. My cousin and his family had to be in Nigeria at the time. So I just visited a friend in New York VO- How long did u stay Me- 3 weeks VO- what were u doing at that time Me- I was on vacation so I was just aight seeing, shopping and generally relaxing VO- are u married Me- Not at the moment VO- do u have kids Me- No VO- I am sorry u do not meet the requirements for a visa at the moment. The pink slip will explain further Me- thank u. I carry my self commot. i do not see anything wrong with these transcript,i want to assume either VO was having a bad day/mood.i know a family friend who had exactly same situation(and he was approved though he is married with kids ),dont forget that from the point visa was issued anything might come up and change your travel plans. What if an important project comes up in your work place and being part of these will not add only points to your KPI but some % to your take home. I think these whole new drive/policy is tearing everything about U.S embassy down, my best advice is to ignore going there for now. I wish we as Nigerians can take these stance.i want to agree more with the TIES thing than change of plans. |

Will he have to reschedule again(using that same visa payment)or he has to make another Visa fee payment before trying to book for an appointment. as long as your MRV is not up to one year, trust you won't need to make new visa fee payment however you might need to write the embassy to reactivate your current MRV code to enable you reschedule appointment |

Aside our government we all have individual roles to play. The problem came from individual effort and same way we can reverse it. Look at Hongkong their rallies over wat they perceive wrong. Beautyaddy: The US immigration does not stamp out foreigners passport...they only stamp in the foreigner arriving into the US.
However, I think it is the Airlines that gives the information to the US immigration the people who boarded their planes departing the US.
Now once the foreigner( in the case of a Nigerian) the Nigeria immigration officer will place an admit stamp into the Nigeria passport holder to verify arrival date into Nigeria. very correct. Hence people took advantage of that loopholes, arranged immigration people to stamp kpaki then do drop box. |

flourishing247: My friends experience yesterday. She was grilled for close to 20mins by an African American Lady.
She went to renew expired visa for her children. She was asked why they wanted to travel. She answered. Please note that 90% of her family stays in the US. They all travelled legally. She said the VO ignored them and typed, typed and typed. She was basically looking at all her records. She questioned her on EVERY visit and also questioned her about duration. She answered her truthfully. The interview lasted almost 20mins. She said the VO kept typing and typing with a few questions when she pulls up an information. We just concluded that she was searching to know if she gave birth in the US.. Finally she approved it. We were so happy with our victories. We interviewed same week and all approved. Bottom line NEVER lie and be consistent. congrat to you and your friend.like I always mention here, be honest, no matter how bad your situation get, just say the truth.i honestly sympathize with couple with 50yrs travel history,i want to assume either their was error in the form/info provided or VO was having a bad day. ic3tipz: good evening everyone on this thread and to all the gurus thanks for your great job, I have a burning question and it might be a lengthy, cos it has a story line. sometime ago I helped my sister and her children apply for the US visitors visa. they went for the interview but the children's details weren't found, which I was totally surprised. did everything in rectifying it but to no avail. so she was the only granted visa, I tried to incorporate the kids make lots of calls to the embassy still it wasnt rectified, because of the whole drama she could make the trip and finally visa expired. now she intends applying with the kids again and handed me the responsibility of again helping to apply. please kindly advice on how I go about it without having same issues. I am still traumatized after the last experience. thanks since you already know how to fill the form, please fill separately and use one email address for all. Also save every d160 form separately on desktop Hopefully you won't encounter same problem. Best of luck |

dejakif: Thank you for this, am gaining experience daily from your guys. If you have any other questions and experience i will appreciate. Thanks a lot what are your ties Married, single, children, good job? All of these might not count but they are important as they are criteria. Read thread 1 to 3 to learn more, we are here to assist in the best possible ways. If this trip isn't important /urgent then I advise you build travel history, apply for other visas(U.K for instance, you might not even go to the U.K b4 U.S application) or visit one or two places(dubai, african countries and etc),you're only increasing your chances to further convince the VO. In my case I had gone to 16 countries (all na official trips o, sponsored by office)b4 applying for U.S visa,so my interview lasted only 2-4mins,am not saying you must have that much travel experience but increase your chances while you also need to remove desperation mindset, carry the not do or die mindset, while you have goal set out. Discuss it less with people around you to reduce tension and them placing you under unnecessary fear.don't use agent, don't forge documents, dont misrepresent info, all of these will hurt in future applications, commit application to God and best of luck. |

dejakif: Hello Guys,
I just got an appointment Interview for US VISA, a friend studying for his doctorate degree in the US invited me but i am sponsoring myself as i have a good job here in Nigeria and a family of 2.
This is the first time i will be going for an interview but I have traveled to China about 4years ago (Spent 4 months in china), sponsored by the Chinese embassy. I have a new passport as the one i used to travel to china already expired.
What are the possible questions that will be asked during the interview & what documents should i take along to the interview? Purpose of trip to China Who sponsored Why did you stay for whole months What were you doing while there Any evidence to back up why you stayed for 4 months What happened to your job in 9ja while you were away I trust the discussion will likely be why you stayed 4 months Prepare yourself, hand everything to God and read these thread between 1 and 3,you will learn alot |

olumig: Got in LA today with my wife, no EOR, EoS, Sos or EFCC stamp on our passport. falopey: Some one just came into Atlanta And they stamped her passport No AOS means no adjustment of status
Also No EOS meaning no extension of status. So no longer extending your 6monnts stay Or adjustment of status maybe for permanent residence for new arrivals while you are here. Many people are having their passport stamped that way now. Perhaps it means something different. I hope it does. Many thanks for these update. Have said it over and over here that people should stop spreading false news abi na fake news, this stamp is INP (indianapolis).secondly my former colleague had these stamp with Aos/EoS as far back has 2015.when they got back to naija after their training, coy wrote the high commission to enquire why and the reason they gave was that my then colleague has been in/out of the U.S many times(7 times) that particular year hence the officer at PoE believe it was relocation agenda loading hence the need for AoS/EoS. Enjoy your stay! |
