All of dem should getat! |
Old video. |
Lol. A lame argument. The FG clearly stated that the affected universities aren’t even accredited in their own countries to offer degree programs but someone or a group wants to make an excuse for those who “earned” bachelor degrees from such institutions of higher learning. |
Lol. Another pro Tinubu group whose true intentions will come to light as 2027 approaches. IYKYK. |
Lol. If this report was meant to be a PR stunt or testing of the murky political waters a second time by GEJ’s supporters, they did a rather poor job of it. The underlying message in this report is that fPGEJ can be controlled (PBAT, who they thought they would “own” isn’t kowtowing to the North) by the northern political elite; a GEJ government benefits the north (a PBAT admin doesn’t benefit the north especially, contrary to their expectations), the same northerners who were there, quiet & uninterested in getting fPMB to sustain the Almajiri schools built by GEJ in the north, don’t want to own up to their own systemic failures but are looking for a “cleaner” in GEJ to help them clean the mess they created! Finally, what this report didn’t say but is very obvious is that the northern elite while preferring power to supposedly remain in the South for another 4yrs after PBAT’s first term, they’re more comfortable with it shifting to the South-south rather than the Southeastern part: question is why? In other words, the northern elite cannot trust an Igbo man with power! If not, instead of going back to the stone (GEJ) they rejected if they’re truly dissatisfied with a PBAT government, they would’ve built consensus around someone like PO who against all odds, came 3rd in a hotly contested election despite contesting on the platform of a political party without “structure” & without the support of power brokers. I hope fPGEJ can see through their hypocrisy & call their bluff but if he doesn’t, it means PO may not contest in 2027 & risk incurring the eternal wrath of his “Obidient” mob or contest against his former leader (seeing his desperation, he’ll run even if it means running against GEJ) & both of them fighting over who takes 2nd & 3rd position in the race. |
Lol. If you put emotions aside and look at the issues critically, N29m monthly is inadequate for the average Nigerian politician especially the one that wants to be in the good books of their people, continue to win elections, wield political influence, attract patronage from bigger politicians & dictate things. The average Nigerian senator spends tens of millions of Naira every month catering to their district’s needs in the areas of health care, education, personal matters (weddings, provision of food, naming ceremonies, burials, employment) etc. These requests/demands don’t even stop. What is however untenable is for our politicians to be receiving ridiculous allowances to wit: wardrobe, newspaper and journals, vehicle allowance etc. |
This is the type of nonsense that they did in the last presidential elections; they’ll just take a result sheet from a PU and share it widely online making it look like they’re the most popular party. Why not show the results for that entire LGA let’s check something. Meanwhile, it’s troubling that the party didn’t field a candidate yet celebrating; it’s just like someone jubilating that they bought a car without an engine and car seats. Now, I’ll mention the party’s name: as long as LP doesn’t have agents in all the PU (especially in the north) across the length and breadth of Nigeria, during elections, they’ll continue to be deprived of their lawful votes. From the result sheet above, it appears only the PDP PU agent appended their signature. |
Realignment has begun for next general elections already. Akume to become next APC chairman. A NW or SE politician/technocrat to become SGF. |
Even a broken clock is correct twice in a day. Mr. Joe Igbokwe might be an unwise elder most of the time but on the PSquare matter, he's very correct; it's either these music legends don't have respectable elders in their family/clan that can call them to order or they're both a bunch of proud young men without respect for the elderly words of wisdom. While it's painful that they're both hurt by whatever is the cause of their constant fights, washing their dirty-linens in public will only serve as distraction and entertainment for a while but after that, we'll move on & they'll be none the wiser still. |
Should she honor Mr. Guy Bruce's invitation to participate in Miss Universe Nigeria, the organisers will simply compensate her with the crown in typical Naija fashion. |
With the institutional reforms, reintroduction of the middle class, employment opportunities, paying off Nigeria’s humongous foreign debts at the time among other good Chief Olusegun Obasanjo did in office as President, unfortunately, what he’s proposing would also affect him (being in jail or hanging from the gallows) because some of the problems we’re still facing today as a country, stemmed from some of the actions of his administration. |
This guy is a phoooool! LMAO. How did he even conceive this type of joke in the first place? I was already laughing even before he finished revealing the joke that purportedly got him fired! |
Anyone who thinks banditry will end in northern Nigeria especially, is an idiot! No lighter way to put it. From the few comments I discerned on the screen shot, there is a cross-section of northerners who believe these bandits are fighting a legitimate fight and deserve support. |
Lol. Nigerian public officials and media attention. She needn’t have to go there; this is an event that if her allegations are true, should’ve just allowed the security agencies to handle it but she has to go out in all her paraphernalia of office to prove a point! |
The girls should be proud of their feat: I'm proud of them for what they were able to accomplish at this Olympic games. They gave it their all especially in the 4th quarter by trouncing the USA ladies but it wasn't enough in the end. |
lexy2014:Ok. |
With Sen. Abubakar Kyari on the saddle @ FMAFS, President Tinunu's administration will hardly achieve any of its plans for the agricultural sector. That being said, it's high time the President rejig his cabinet & throw out dead weights of which his cabinet is loaded with many of them. He should also consider appointing a non-northerner as Agric Minister; last time we'd a Minister in that ministry that actually made any impact that even - majority if not all - smallholder farmers (who produce at least 80% of our Agric produce) could attest to, he was a non-northerner (Dr. Akin Adesina, now AfDB President). Since then, every other Agric Minister (before him & till date, all of them northerners) have just been occupying that position with nothing tangible to show for it other than a trail of corruption and bad loans. |
Mr. Bayo Onanuga has often times fallen short of what's expected of a senior media aide to the President through some of his unmeasured tweets on X. However, on this particular occasion, his response is spot on, measured & timely: Alh. Atiku Abubakar has unraveled since 2022. Those who thought or still think man isn't an ethno-religious fanatic obviously haven't followed his trajectory especially since after the tragic and barbaric murder of Deborah in Sokoto & the former VP's volte face after realising his northern supporters were upset by his initial response. |
After all is said and done, blackmail or no blackmail, the dimension the protests took & is taking in the north is unprecedented; calling for a military coup & waving the flag of a country that has become notorious for backing military coups in some parts of West & Central Africa. Irrespective of the political permutations ongoing now coupled with the hidden agenda of the ongoing protests and whether Tinubu successfully concludes his first term in office & goes on to spend 8yrs or not is immaterial at this point but one thing is certain, if those waiting in the wings to replace him in the next general elections don't put their selfish interests aside & come together as one to confront APC, PBAT will trounce them again and his opponents will cry harder and louder than 2023. |
The monsters they made. If only they just stayed where they are but unfortunately, these monsters won't/can't be contained to their region; they'll soon rather than later, find their way to other parts of the country to unleash their monstrosity as well. |
Russia recognized their own flag and distanced themselves from its usage in the hunger protests in the North yet Prof. Kperogi wants us to believe it was the Nigerian Armed Forces flag that was being displayed. The northern protesters waving those flags were simply yearning for what's happening in neighboring Niger to occur in Nigeria; a Russia-backed military coup in Nigeria. |
Former President Obasanjo is like that student who after writing mostly wrong answers to the examination questions, steps out thereafter to revise those questions and start proffering the correct answers. As President, Aremu Obasanjo did excellently well in some areas but you see the specific areas he mentioned in his interview with FT (oil & gas, agriculture & youth restiveness), he failed woefully. Similarly, in his failed desire to elongate his tenure in office, he laid the foundation for many of the problems that are still bedeviling us today as a nation. |
Peter Obi o, Atiku o, El-rufai o, Kwankwaso o and their likes.... They'll still lose to this PBAT that almost everyone is shouting "ebi n pa wa" if they don't close ranks & choose just one among them (most likely from the North) with P.O as running mate to confront & defeat the demagogue in Aso Rock come 2027 presidential election. However, should they choose a repeat of 2023 where they each contested under different political parties, they'll reproduce the same result of last year's presidential election. |
Senator (Dr) Orji Uzor Kalu has made sense backed by incontrovertible data but then, he's speaking to a people mostly guided by their emotions than rational thinking. In my opinion, the protests shouldn't end: the sinister agenda was/ still is to tip Nigeria over the edge & possibly force a military intervention. Let that happen so that those who weren't born or were still in diapers when Nigeria was under military rule will have a taste of what it feels like then maybe just then, their utopian fantasies will come to an end. |
Lol. Nattering nitwits still think this protest is about giving PBAT a "bad name" so much so that when he's among his colleague Presidents, he'll be "ashamed". Anyways, all elected public officials must read the room & begin to amend their ways; it's no longer business as usual (for the moment, at least). The President, for one, has to do away with the deadwoods in his cabinet (it's over a year and the Minister for Agriculture and Food Security for e.g still hasn't been able to marshal a practicable solution to food shortage/food inflation), cut down drastically on cost of governance whilst giving every section of the country a sense of belonging in terms of political appointments. As for the governors, they must look inwards; develop their areas of competitive and comparative advantage as well as stop paying lip service to agriculture. They too must cut cost of governance at their own level. To the citizens, especially civil servants, stop creating unnecessary bureaucratic bottlenecks and (business owners) trying to make excessive profits. |
aylipple:@ bolded was just one negative trait about Akpabio I highlighted less than a fortnight ago. I'll add now that SP Godswill Akpabio should henceforth (i.e if he hasn't been making this prayer a part of his daily routine already) pray to God every day to bridle his tongue because it's so obvious that's one aspect of his life he doesn't have control over. |
Lol. All this kati kati over a protest that should be allowed to hold under strict security cover; it's the lapse in security protection for protesters & protesters' penchant for inconveniencing others not interested in the protest that usually lead to break down of law & order. Meanwhile, it's bewildering that PBAT has taken this long to effect a cabinet shuffle especially as most of his ministers are incompetent, ineffective & out of tune with realities facing most Nigerians. |
Now, that's how to speak. Well said Gov. Sanwoolu. |
Follow who know road. While Lagos may not yet be the Eldorado we know it can be in view of its huge potentials, it's the only state in Nigeria (as we currently have) that has continued to set the pace for what other states can do/become with purposeful leadership & availability of resources. |
Lol. We suddenly have emergency lovers/defenders of Dangote. We all know what we're doing! |
Enough with the subtle threats and inuendos. Let the people protest peacefully; it's their right. Instead of focusing on what could go wrong about the protest, I would've expected the security agencies to zero in on providing adequate security to the protesters so that they're not infiltrated by fifth columnists and others who may want to use their cover to unleash mayhem and violence. Also, much as the protesters have a fundamental right to freedom of peaceful assembly, they should also be aware that where their rights stop is where others' rights begin: don't obstruct movement, set bonfires, harass others going about their own activities etc. It's a live and let live world; while the reasons for the protests are germane & cut across board, it's not by force for anyone not interested to be forced to participate or labelled a sell-out. |
What's the NJC doing about Judges that issue & counter-issue orders thereby making an already confusing situation even more confusing? |
