God2man: 1. If you are not married, you will hate the fatherly advice.
2. If you are not in a position to settle quarel among the married couple, you will never understand the reason behind the fatherly advice.
Above all, it is an advice from an experience man of God, who is old enough to be our father. I think a wise person should sit down and think about the advice. Let's take his fatherly advice and work on it. If you neglect his advice, then it does not show you are ready for marriage. A wise man preparing for marriage will surely meditate on what the man of God has said, even though the advice seems to be hard, it is something to watch out for while preparing for marriage. The house is already divided immediately you go to another church. There are so many things that are not the same, for example, you are from different families, with different background. So, when you are including different churches(e.g, RCCG and CAC) to all the differences will become a huge task to manage when you are married.
The truth is always bitter, very stubborn but it will always triumph.
God will help us to do the right thing. Amen.
God bless you. God2man. Well composedly said! |

Awagbiji: Good topic though many people may not appreciate this since it look so simple and common word. Worship and praise are different. Just like the word God and lord. You worship God almighty but you can praise anything including God. There is a way of worship but many ways of praise. Place to worship is specific while praise can be anywhere. Worship is compulsory but is voluntary. These depend on your religion. |

Chuksgeo: I think this 'prof.corruption' is the most senseless fellow ever commenting on this topic on every particular thread, he is 'just another big COWARD' with his kingsmen, he dont know history or even read it rather he comes online and start exhibiting his tokumbo lyrical prowess, as far as international law is concerned obafemi awolowo is a 'nazist' following his infamous 'STARVATION POLICY' and should have been tried for war crimes and let me still reiterate it here again that the world renowned elite, author and academician Prof. CHINUALUMOGU ACHEBE have only said the truth, people should deal with it, period! What happens to OJUKWU if AWOLOWO is charged? |
Politics › Re: Achebe On Awolowo: Has He Gone Too Far? by ayobase(m): 8:47pm On Oct 09, 2012 |
safarigirl: Achebe has said his thoughts, Ken Saro-Wiwa did same, of all the Yoruba authors, how many have wrtten their own version of the war?
Prof. Corruption, why don't you take your intelligent arguments to a publisher? Were you there when this war happened? Did you have a first-hand experience or are your arguments based on what you read or heard on the radio? only those who were directly affected by this war know what really happened, it's not through what you read on wikipedia or some other random site that you assume you're a sage on the matter, and yes, there will be biased views, for those who were in the heat of the war, it was an injustice, for those who were eating amala and ewedu in the comforts of their home, it's all fair in love and war, so people shouldn't come here trying to sound smart.
No Yoruba person will ever understand this war because they have never had 3 million people wiped out fighting for a cause they believe in, hell, i doubt they've ever believed in squat! You'll come here and defend awolowo on line, but if e reach to fight, you no dey, and don't give me that cr.ap bout being too intelligent, cos it's not like your intelligence has gotten anyone anywhere. it is sentiments that take people to war, whether some admit this or not.
I had a history teacher who was Yoruba, and he never stops singing the praises of Biafrans, as far as he's concerned, for a black nation to go to war with world powers, create their own ammunition and hold strong for three years, is an achievement in it's own right, many have not lasted that long, and no other black nation in this world can equal that.
Nigeria's engine has failed, all the awos, ojukwus are dead, Gowon is a mallam, he will say what benefits his people, plus he's the one who committed the crimes, so it's not like he won't vindicate himself. Either ur English was trying to get to u or just pursuing peace with all men! . Can I ask u a question.....does it mean u aint blaming Ojukwu AT ALL AT ALL? |
Politics › Re: Achebe On Awolowo: Has He Gone Too Far? by ayobase(m): 6:43pm On Oct 09, 2012 |
Standing5: Prof Corruption, i must say i am very impressed with your presentation of facts on this thread so far. . . All verifiable claims that fits into indisputable history and that can stand the test of time . . . . Let 'em hater go cook up something new for their personalized consumption. Or could it be beaf reincarnating! . Well, one thing still amuses me here. The Igbos are blaming Awolowo, and not even blaming Ojukwu for ANYTHING. Is there something they are missing? |

freecocoa: Hmm how will they pull through this? Oh lord please console and comfort them. I can't even sleep peacefully anymore, only someone without a soul\heart will try to justify this type of killing. If you've ever lost a loved one you will have a little insight on what these folks are going through, how can a mother live with the images of her baby being brutally beaten and then burnt to death? How can she find sleep and peace again? Oh her little baby of yesterday is gone in such a wicked manner, I've only felt this type of pain when I lost my mum but then, she didn't die this painfully so it can't even be compared to this, this pain I have in my heart for days now is of a certain different degree and its gradually killing me, its like I'm losing my mind, I need to find sanity again, if I who don't even know these boys personally can feel this way, then I don't even want to imagine how their family and friends feel. God please avenge the death of these kids, their souls will not rest until justice is done. There is no way u r gonna watch their video without being totally heart rendered. . I have seen where thieves were being burnt and people being slaughtered, but this is more threatening to my consciousness and conscience....I flinched any moment I remember....and Nigerian Students were there while it was going on.hmmmm! . abubello: Neither Jesus nor any prophet of God was reported to have used Music as a means of worship. But we have several reports of prostration to God as a means of worship:
JESUS " and he went a little farther and fell on his face and prayed,” (Matthew 26:39)
2) MOSES AND AARON: "then Moses and Aaron went away from the assaembly to the entrance of the tent and fell on their faces, " (numbers 20:6)
3) ABRAHAM "And Abram fell on his face, (Genesis 17:3)
4) JOSHUA ", and Joshua fell on his face to the earth and did worship, " (Joshua 5:14)
5) MUHAMMAD (SAW) was commanded in the glorious Qura’n thus:
…Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah (96:19)
Everyday millions of muslims prostrate (fall on their faces) in total submission to Allah the creator of every body and everthing.

@Bollygee . U have said it all...there IS A difference between God saying, and someone giving godly pieces of advice, even Paul did. . My brother, to an extent, I wouldnt blame Baba for saying that. U will be so shocked when u come to know how some Pastors preach about this matter....its like matchmaking sometimes! . Well, it will be devastating seeing your child u have SWEATINGLY taught over the yrs losing it at the end cos he/she married from another denomination in the name of christendom....some churches are not worth it.....atleast Baba wouldnt stop u from marrying from/being married into another church (He was just giving his piece of advice) . Know the truth, and it shall set u free. . Acidosis should come do justice to those questions (I give him the honour) |

Romney has nothing to lose, but Obama. And maybe he was lenient due to his marriage anniversary....he wants a memorable and romantic 20yrs wedding anniversary! . There are points with which Obama can nail and bury Mitt with without resurrection, but he wouldnt.....they still have one more debate though! Obama is not daft, he has succeeded with one thing, he set the bait for Mitt and he fell for it....politics is a game....Mitt should go for teeth wiring cos he is gonna be hit so hard on the jaw down to the jugular. . Back to your question.....Romney won! |
