EducationRe: Graduate Who Travelled Abroad Reveals He Earns Over N25m In 1 Year As Bus Driver by Ayojideonline(m): 2:58pm On Apr 19, 2023
crows2ravens:
You people overestimate the cost of living in the UK, it's not nearly as bad people make it to seem.
£45k gross annually (£3,750 each month) will give him £2,885 net income monthly after tax and NI! While most minimum wage earners get around £1k5 net. Unless he is living in London city and he's a lavish spender, this is likely his situation:
Rent and utilities - £700 (which is a bit high)
Food and groceries - £150 (unless he eats out 100%).
Remove that from his net pay he still has £2,035 at his disposal for other things. Worst case if he's living in London he will have over £1k left. Bring the figures if this calculation is wrong. Make Una stop to dey scare people who want to go there.
Nicely said.

If we all become entrepreneurs/employers, who will work others?
For sure, a fact that is constant is "not everyone can become entrepreneurs/employers". Having many or more employers introduces having better options or alternatives and creates a more healthy competition. Employers won't take many for granted any longer as they know they now have more options.

Very beautiful analysis on Options before our Youths!
Those Options fits into specific age brackets - not those with false identity -( 'Education Na Scam'- Nonsense) and the earlier for the Youths, the better!
But on a more serious note, our Govt( State and Federal) have so much to do, to reduced the Youth frustrations and unemployment!
1- how much of Recruitment are they doing - no one can say, unlike in USA, UK,etc, where on Monthly basis, the Country Unemployment rate are assessed and displayed!
2- No Capital is available to Nigerian-Youths ,as a Startups! If some Nigerians can get just N250,000 or N150,000- as a Start -Up, today, things( like Poverty) will gradually reduced.
•Politicians must as a matter of urgency makes bold move to discard the - Winners take all attitudes in our Political Process! You are elected to serve not otherwise!
3- For Nigerians to belongs especially the Youths, the NEPA or DISCOS- as you called them MUST give 90% lights- for Nigeria to move forward and accelerate it's developmental projects, as so many things can be done through a regular lights- day and night!
For now,we can see ourselves through the Mirror - true or false!
True. Very much on point.

When you insist on being Nigerian everywhere you find yourself, you'll definitely be experiencing loneliness.

Break your barriers, widen your horizon, make friends across racial divides, try out foods and cultures of other races, try careers different from the ones trending among your people. etc. You must not be a nurse or a security guard in Amelika. cheesy

Those that do the things I listed may never experience loneliness abroad. But in doing that, never ever forget your root.

Thanks to platforms like nairaland for helping me keep my own Nigerianity. cheesy

HealthHow To Choose The Right Type Of Exercise by Ayojideonline(op): 8:09am On Apr 10, 2023
The type of exercise you do all depends on you and what you like to do.

What you hate doing, paying membership fees, and whether or not to buy equipment are all things you need to consider as well as answer.

If you choose something that you don't like to do, you aren't going to keep doing it for a long period of time. Give it some thought - if you don't like jogging, you aren't going to get up at 6 AM and go running.

If you can't find something you like to do, choose something you hate the least, which will normally be walking.

Walking is great exercise, as it suits all levels of fitness. Anyone can start a walking program at any time, it's normally the intensity and duration that differs.

Walking is also a social exercise, as it isn't difficult to find a training partner to chat with while you exercise. Walking with a partner will also make time go by faster.

No matter what exercise you choose, you should start at a low level of intensity and build it up over a period of weeks, which is essential to the longevity of your exercise program.

If you start off too hard, you could end up with an injury which will require time off to get over.

If you are really in bad shape, you should start off by walking for 10 minutes each day. Then, increase it by 5 minutes every 2 weeks.

To make things more interesting, you should try walking a different course every few days.

You can also roster a different friend to walk with you each day of the week.

If walking isn't your thing, then you may want to try a fitness center. They have loads of variety and normally have trainers on hand to answer any questions you may have.

When you choose a fitness center, make sure that they give good service.

If they aren't willing to treat you well before you join, then they certainly won't after you join. You should also make sure that the equipment they use is well taken care of.

It's easy to find out, as all you have to do is listen to the machines. If they squeak a lot or make noise, then chances are they aren't being taken care of.

If you still aren't sure what you should do, then you should look into golf or tennis. Both are good social activities in most areas, and you can even meet new friends.

Tennis is great for fitness although it isn't for someone who is just starting out. If you haven't exercised in a long time, then golf may be the best activity for you.

Have a great day.

HealthThe Meaning And Causes Of Loneliness by Ayojideonline(op): 11:20am On Apr 08, 2023
Loneliness tends to be truly only for chronically lonely individuals, not for “State-lonely” individuals whose loneliness is adequately explained by potent situation factors (e.g. widowhood, geographical relocation). More like a trait even when induced in an acute fashion.

“Loneliness” by Fromm Reichmann (1959). Empirical research into loneliness was supported by the efforts of Perlman and peplum (1981), who defined loneliness as “the unpleasant experience that occurs when a person’s network of social relations is deficient in some important way, either quantitatively or qualitatively.”

Another definition of loneliness, frequently used in European Countries, is formulated as follows:
Loneliness is a situation experienced by the individual as one where there is an unpleasant or indivisible lack of (quality of) certain relationships. This includes situations, in which the number of existing relationships is smaller than is considered desirable or admissible, as well as situations where the intimacy one wishes for has not been realized.”

Loneliness is a subjective and negative experience, and the outcome of a cognitive evaluation of the match between the quantity and quality of existing relationships and relationship standards. The opposite of loneliness is belongingness .

Loneliness can also be defined as the distress occurs when one’s social relationships are perceived as being less satisfying than what is desired.

The work of John Bowlby on a attachment bonds (Bowlby, 1973) heralds the beginning of theoretical conceptualizations of loneliness. Roberts Weiss (1973) delineated an attachment theory of loneliness in which deficiencies in social relationships serving specific functions (e.g. attachment, social integration, and nurturance) were posited to contribute to feelings of loneliness.

· Social loneliness – means lack of social integration.

· Emotional loneliness – means absence of reliable attachment figure.

Common Causes of Loneliness

1. People with mental illness: - People who are living with mental illness are particularly prone to feeling lonely.

2. Lone Careers: - Caring for someone it can be very difficult to leave the house and get out and about. It is not uncommon for lone cares
to feel isolated or alone.

3. People with physical disability: - People in this condition on are at risk of experiencing loneliness for a number of reasons. Stigma and disadvantage can cause people who experience a physical disability to feel excluded from social activities.

4. People experiencing discrimination – Being treated as different from others can often make people feel lonely or isolated. Being discriminated against because of ethnicity, gender, sexuality or any other cause.

Some Reasons People feel lonely include:

1. Technology: - Through the internet and mobile phones are awesome, they can sometimes make us fell detached from the world around us.

2. Not fitting in: - When you are in an environment where you do not feel comfortable, when somebody bullied or discriminated against.

3. No one listen to you: - When you are young. It can feel like no one listens to you or takes you seriously. It can make someone feel lonely and not important.

4. Physical Isolation: - Sometimes we’re in a situation where there is just no one around. This can be as a result of moving to a new place, living alone, family moving away or someone dying.

Have a nice day.

Health10 Wise Things To Know About Life by Ayojideonline(op):
1. Life is like a blank cheque already signed with your name written on it. The only thing you have to do is fill in the number you want. Problem is that most people write a negative number and then blame others for their miseries. Only 1% of people have some idea what number to write on the blank.

2. Even if you wore the same clothes every day for 30 days nobody will notice that you wore the same clothes yesterday. People are so engrossed in their own personal thoughts and problems that they have no time to waste checking what kind of clothes you’re wearing each day.

3. The greatest life hack is the elusive feeling of happiness. If you can teach your brain to laugh even when you don’t feel like, your brain can’t tell the difference whether you’re happy or sad. You can then enjoy perpetual happiness any time you want it 24/7.

4. Of all the skills in the world, the greatest skill is the ability to say “NO”.

5. All the wealth in the world is yours for the taking provided that you give people what they want. Then and only then will they feel compelled to give you what you want.

6. The problem with most people is that they will always copy what others are doing. People will always doubt their abilities even if you tell them they’re good at something. They lack the self-confidence to do something that has never been done, only to realize quite late that they had a better idea than everybody else.

7. The greatest problem in life is not the lack of money. The problem is that most people want the money for all the wrong reasons, and don’t know what to do with it once they get it. This is what repulses money away from most people.

8. Lack of contentment is the root of all evil and miseries. From it emanates all kinds of jealousies, hate, greed and murders. On the other hand, contentment is the root of all happiness.

9. Love everyone for who they are for that’s a universal law. However, don’t choose the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with blindly, or simply because you’ve fallen in love with them “head-over-heels”. Sometimes it’s possible that other people have also fallen in love with them “head-over-heels” before you.

10. Never argue just for the sake of argument, unless you’re sure your opinion could save lives. Otherwise agree with your opponent and move on to save time and money. They’ll think that they’ve won the battle only to realize later that they were fools.

Your ego will hold you back for the rest of your life. Take bold action towards your intuition to shut it up.

It’s not about what you get in the end, it’s about the person you become. Watch out for who you are becoming.

It’s better to create an abundance mindset instead of desperation. Things will be pulled towards you if you enjoy your life.

If it won’t matter in 5 years, it shouldn’t matter now. Avoid worrying about little things.

The more value you provide in the market place, the more you will be rewarded. Money is about serving not taking.

The best way to make people like you is to have fun. Do what makes you happy and people will be attracted to you.

BusinessTop Habits That Can Lead You To Financial Freedom by Ayojideonline(op):
Believe me, I've seen both sides.

I stopped trying to get get rich quick. Wasted a lot of time. And money. Decided getting rich slow was fine. As long as I made it. And realized the only one getting rich quick was the guy selling the books and courses. Not exactly my goal. Learned before I leaped. My first voyage into investing cost me several thousand dollars. Not exactly the return on investment I was looking for. So before I jumped in again I educated myself. Still made mistakes. Just kept them manageable. Although, way less exciting.

Controlled my emotions. When the markets are going to hell it takes everything you have to not bail out. Except the ride is going to be a lot rougher outside the plane. Particularly the landing without a parachute. Caging my emotions helped me make better decisions. And whole lot less dumb ass ones.

Became bold when everyone was freaking. And cautious when everyone is toasting each other. The best investments I've made were in the darkest days. And the worst in the brightest. Going opposite everyone else is financially rewarding. However, a little lonely at cocktail parties.
Chilled out. Frenzied activity in investing is almost always rewarded with subpar results.

And that's on a good day. I learned to find good investments. Invest slowly over time. Monitor them. And for the most part leave them alone to mature. And surprise they did. And my blood pressure reduced. Seems like a win win.

Used credit cards for convenience not financing. The interest rate, when calculated, is enormous. And frankly if we couldn't pay off the charge in a month then we didn't really need what we thought we did. And in many cases a month later couldn't remember why it was so damn important.

Bought depreciating assets for cash. Appreciating assets we financed. Sometimes reversed number two but never number one. To buy anything and on top of depreciation pay interest costs maybe isn't the classice definition of insanity but it could be listed. And almost guaranteed to keep you from financial freedom.

We turned off the TV. Literally, we stopped watching it. Why does that build financial freedom? Look at the above list. Every item is helped by turning off the TV. Including number 7. Because you won't realize all the cool expensive new things you just can't live happily without. Ignorance really is bliss.
I learned to enjoy journey. By nature I'm a saver. Well actually kinda cheap. My wife is a spender. So we help each other. I help her save and be careful. And she helps me enjoy some of it along the way. I came to a place I realized she was going to spend some of it as we went so I might as well join her. No regrets. We've had fun.

And most important I'm blessed to have someone to enjoy the journey with. My wife fills in my weaknesses. And I fill in hers. I think I got the better deal. But I'm not telling her. We make a great team. And life is so much more fun. Financial freedom is great. But only if you can share it with those you love.

Some of the top keys I've learned that have given us financial freedom.

Freedom to enjoy life with those we love.

Freedom to build meaning into life.

Freedom from the stress of worry about finances.

Freedom to enjoy the little things that bring richness.

And freedom from the freaking TV. That right there makes all the difference.

You can find financial freedom. It will usually show up where you least expect it.
HealthBoost Your Immune System And Corona Virus Precautions Tips by Ayojideonline(op): 12:21pm On Jul 07, 2022
Our immune system is essential for our survival. Without an immune system, our bodies would be open to attack from bacteria, viruses, parasites, and more.
Follow me on Twitter and Instagram, handle @STAYJID2000 link at https://Twitter.com/STAYJID2000 With over 36K Followershttps://Instagram.com/STAYJID2000
If the immune system encounters a pathogen, for instance, a bacterium, virus, or parasite, it mounts a so-called immune response and goes on attack to defeat the foreign invader. It is our immune system that keeps us healthy as we drift through a sea of pathogens.
With the world’s current state of affairs, and since it’s highly unlikely you have a an immunity to Covid-19 (at this point) we should be talking about the best ways to boost your immune system.
This way, when you do encounter the virus, your body is on guard and prepared to attack. Perhaps the greatest thing you can do, to maintain a healthy immune system is high-quality nourishment.
Unfortunately, the foods that we eat today are not what they once were. Foods are grown in depleted soils. Genetic modifications. Fast foods. Canned foods. Sugar in everything. The list goes on! Unfortunately, this leaves our bodies susceptible to diseases and illness.

Genetics also play a key role in our immune system functionality. Recent studies now demonstrate that as much as three quarters of immune traits are influenced by our inherent genes. (Source: King College) The good news is your genes do not dictate your ultimate fate! It has been said, “Your genes load the gun, your environment pulls the trigger.”

This is why I am such an advocate of Customized DNA Nutrition. Knowing which genes you’ve inherited, and how they impact YOUR overall immune system, is more important now than ever before!
When facing threats, (such as Covid-19) it's critical we take appropriate measures to strengthen our immunity!
As for me and my family, we are thankful to have a custom blend of plant based vitamins, herbs, superfoods and spices, that were perfectly paired to our DNA, to help support our bodies overall immune system!
Attention!
A few simple precautions that can help protect you from dangerous viruses

1- Wash the hands periodically with soap for 20 seconds

2- Avoid shaking hands

3-Prefer to stay home rather than go to the crowd

4-Cover your mouth with tissue or tissue when sneezing or hanging

5-In the case of a nozzle, throw in the trash after using the tissue.

6-If you are experiencing fever, cough, difficulty with breathing and also have a fever, contact closest center.

Health5 Importance Of Nails In Health And Disease Diagnosis by Ayojideonline(op): 9:07am On Jun 26, 2022
The nails are present at the end of each finger tip on the dorsal surface.

The main function of nail is protection and it also helps for a firm grip for holding articles. It consists of a strong relatively flexible keratinous nail plate originating from the nail matrix.

Under the nail plate there is a soft tissue called nail bed. Between the skin and nail plate there is a nail fold or cuticle.

Normal healthy nail is slight pink in colour and the surface is convex from side to side. Finger nails grow 1 cm in three months and toe nails take 24 months for the same.

Importance of nails in disease diagnosis:

The colour ,appearance, shape and nature of the nails give some information about the general health and hygiene of a person .

Nails are examined as a routine by all doctors to get some clues about underlying diseases.Just looking at nails we can make out the hygiene of a person.

The abnormal nail may be congenital or due to some diseases. The cause for changes in the nail extend from simple reasons to life threatening diseases. Hence the examination by a doctor is essential for diagnosis .Some abnormal findings with probable causes are discussed here for general awareness.

1) Hygiene:- We can make out an unhygienic nail very easily .Deposition of dirt under the distal end of nail plate can make a chance for ingestion of pathogens while eating. If nail cutting is not done properly it can result in worm troubles in children.

When the worms crawl in the anal orifice children will scratch which lodges the ova of worms under the nails and will be taken in while eating. Prominent nail can also complicate a skin disease by habitual scratching. Sharp nails in small kids cause small wounds when they do feet kicking or hand waving.

2) Colour of the nails:-

a) Nails become pale in anaemia.

b) Opaque white discolouration(leuconychia) is seen in chronic renal failure and nephrotic syndrome.

c) Whitening is also seen in hypoalbuminaemia as in cirrhosis and kidney disorders.

d) Drugs like sulpha group, anti malarial and antibiotics ect can produce discolouration in the nails.

e) Fungal infection causes black discolouration.

f) In pseudomonas infection nails become black or green.

g) Nail bed infarction occures in vasculitis especially in SLE and polyarteritis.

h) Red dots are seen in nails due to splinter haemorrhages in subacute bacterial endo carditis, rheumatoid arthritis, trauma, collagen vascular diseases.

i) Blunt injury produces haemorrhage and causes blue/black discolouration.

Since you are sober about it, get over it. Apologize to your Mom as hard as it can be and move on! At all cost avoid people who trigger your anger. Ignore those coming to this thread with generational stories of your children doing such to you! Understand yourself better and make the best out of what you love to do. You didn't know your Mom today, so let your wisdom increase every time you are around her.
All the best. .....REMEMBER ....DO NOT MARRY SUCH KIND OF WOMAN ALSO! .....GOOD LUCK! ..... I FULLY UNDERSTAND YOUR PERSONALITY ...A PERSON WITH SIMILAR NATURE AND EXPERIENCE IS WRITING THIS!

Moz22:
Actually typing this with a heavy heart and so much disgust for what I've done.. wish I had handled the situation better.

My father is the best man I could ever wish for and if I had another chance to pick a dad again in my next life, I'll pick a richer version of him but my mom?? Sigh!
However growing up with them was so stressful in every way u can think of.. my dad was the meek type, soft spoken and slow to react but my mom would always complain about everything, she fights everything and everyone.. never afraid of any form of confrontation, she would complain about my hairstyle, she would check if I sagged my trousers.. she monitored me extremely and always nagged about it.. I'm this typa guy who is well cultured, I wouldn't say I got that from home training tho cos I do not drink, smoke nor womanize... And I think it's d joy of every parent to have child like me, I basically had no friends visiting me then and even up till now. I've got trust issues that's why I don't keep friends.. my mom made my youthful days hell for me, I didn't really enjoy it.. times I spent with her were miserable as she would shout everyday, quarrel even over phone conversations that you would think the person she's fighting with was right in front of her.. and some times I even pity my dad whenever she starts with him. I developed some sorta hatred for her

Lately I've been spending more time with them cos of our last born just so I could keep an eye on him and we stayed close too.. and the way she treats him makes me wonder if she was the one gave birth to him, if I was away when she was pregnant for him and delivered.. I would have argued that she was his mother. There were times that I had to pass the night there and her voice or rants would be what will wake me up very early in the morning just as it used to be when I used to be there...

I used to think that as people grow old, they become calmer but that isn't the case with my mom, she's more violent... She lost her twin sis last year March and I sincerely hoped that would change atleast but iro nio... Her other sisters aren't even speaking to her at the moment. My dad was a musician.. old age won't allow him continue doing music, coincidentally I picked up that barton.. been doing the same music(live musician) all my life but my mom has always been against it.. she was never happy whenever I carry my dad's guitar to rehearse or whenever I bring a piano home.. it was always war...

Been there since last weekend cos of the poor electricity in my area.. we have had power for about 7 days now.. Had gone for a studio session, only to return in d evening and I was greeted with shouting over a very trivial issue, I was so angry that I responded to every of her verbal insults.. and then she hit me and I reciprocated which I felt so bad about almost immediately.. she dragged me by my clothes shouting that I must kill her again, by that time.. my anger had subdued and all I had on my mind was to leave the house immediately. She threatened to arrest me.. She tore my shirt and I managed to pull away from her.. and left without picking my stuffs. All my life, I have never raised up my hands to hit a woman talkless of my mom.. I don't even beat kids when they do wrong, I hate to see tears.. I know it's a disgraceful thing to do. I've got no excuse for what I've done whatsoever. I even avoid confrontations with my own gender sef cos I know what I'm capable of. I'm always quick to say the word sorry just to avoid prolonged issues. I had been offline since it happened, just came here to drop this and I know how much insults I'm gonna get here anyway but we learn everyday and will surely pick the ones that will make me a better person.. no one's perfect

Pls ignore my typo errors abeg
